In my application i want checkbox on the accordion ,so is it possiable to set checkbox ? if it is possiable How can i identified child ?

I want to add a button with a cross to the header of the accordion which can be clickable. that means i want to display a message when the some one click on that button. i go through many of the samples in the web but couldn't get it done.
I tried with also a CanvasButtonAccordionHeader, it shows the button but when i click it, it didn't give the message although i created the click event handler.
I want to create a list with flash cs3 using the accordion component (the user clicks on a row, and the row expands). The icon of the header is a movieclip "My_icon":

No I want to change the text of the textfield like this:

But trace(oAccordion_1.icon.lblHead) gives undefined. However trace(oAccordion_1.icon) gives me "My_icon".
how I can access lblHead inside the header mc?
Btw. I know the accordion has a label itself, but I want to have more than just a label inside my header.

I need to insert a Box containing some text that appears between the grid header and main content and spans all the grid columns. I've been searching and experimenting (addChildAt()) but no luck so far. Is this possible to achieve?If not, is it possible to dynamically render the text in the header itself, below and spanning the column header text?
View 1 RepliesI've just used the accordion component in flash to successfully load some external data into it.For the purpose I want to use it, the accordion is a good option.However, as you keep adding more and more elements into it (and, presumably, there will eventually be lots of them in this project), the headers start to take up more and more space, up to the point that you can't see the content.So yes, I made it so that the accordion adjusts its size depending on the number of elements it needs to display each time. And that works fine.BUT... then, there's a point where the accordion is just too big for the stage... so it doesn't fit, and you can't see part of it.I thought it would be possible to insert the accordion inside a ScrollPane, but I can't make it work.
The first step would be to put the accordion component inside a new MC. But when I do that and test the movie, I get a very weird behaviour of the component. It loads the content, but at first only half of the component shows up. Then when you click some items, they don't display properly and do weird things.Still, I went forward and tried to put that MC inside a scrollPane (gave the MC a linkage name, etc.), but still the scrollPane seems to display a "blank" accordion inside it, not the one with the content.Is it possible at all to get a working accordion inside a ScrollPane? If not, can you think of any other way to make the accordion component "scrollable" so that it can have whatever size is needed, and still be usable?
This PHP contact form works well and is very simple. I have one checkbox in the fla file. However, it keeps displaying 'No' in the email message field, whether the checkbox is selected or not. It should display 'Yes' if the checkbox is selected, and 'No' if the checkbox is unselected.Here is the PHP:

I have an accordion component on my stage and I really do not even know where to start to do .I found this code on the Adobe help pages and it causes the movement of the accordion to bounce... which is great... but my problem is populating the accordion with the data.

(FIRST,SECOND, and THIRD) Within there i would like arrays to be displayed for the select label.My arrays are defined and when i trace them i get exactly what i am looking for... the format of the code to add an array to my accordion...then upon selecting the item in the array displayed i would to be able to display that same array value in a text box called "my_selection" ....also the amount of items in the array are not static and change day to day..

I created a nice Header but would like to know how (tutorial/and or programs if possible) to make the images transisiton. Ex. [URL] website when you click on a link in the menu different images transition in the header. My website has a company logo with 3 images but the header remains static as you click on all the links.

However, if I try to put the cursor in one of the second .swf textbox movie, it doesn't work. The focus stays on the object that was calling it.
Also, I want this movie to be non modal so anyone can go back in forth between both application.

View 1 RepliesSo, here is the question. I have a small flash application that sends some variables to a php script (via POST), and that php script sends them to a mySQL database.
This works fine when I'm testing my flash offline, I go to phpmyadmin, and the registry is done. When I upload the swf to a online html, this stops working. It no longer creates another registry in the database. I have no ideia why this happens.
I read a bit about it and found out about cross domain policy, and thought it might be the problem. Thus I made a small .xml file and uploaded it to both servers (the one the swf is on, and the one that has the database), and its still not working.

I have a native (Obj-C, standard Xcode project) application and I'd like to integrate a partners iOS application (or specifically, it's functionality) into it as just another view in my application. The problem is that their application is a Flex/Air app. I really don't understand the Adobe compilation process on how it gets from a bunch of flex code down to an IPA. I don't see intermediate projects, shared objects, etc on the disk to produce that IPA. It looks like it doesn't rely on the Apple tool chain... as I understand it, you can produce the IPA on Windows as well. Is there any way to build that Flex app in such a way that I can import it into Xcode so I can link against it and use it as a library from within my application? While I specifically used iOS as an example since that is the most important platform, we'll want to apply this solution to our respective Android and Blackberry 6 apps as well.
View 1 RepliesI have a flash mp3 player that I want to embed in a page and I need to insert the data of two external .xml files in an action inside the first frame (there are some server limitations that don't allow reading of external xml, txt and js files). The action I have now is:

so, what I want to do is paste the contents of those two .xml files inside my Flash movie somewhere so the above script accesses them directly and does not have to call outside files. Is there a tutorial somewhere that outlines this procedure? I know that this is the contrary from what .xml is used for but I can't do much now..
are you allowed to put Insert Symbols inside of movie clips? because mine don't seem to work...

View 8 RepliesI am trying to access html files protected by basic authentication. Below is the code to do that but I still get the authentication dialog. I checked the fiddler and found that for the first request authorization header is present but for the subsequent requests which is requested to load the .js, css & images the authorization header is not added. This is the reason I am getting the auth dialog.
Is there a way to add authorization header to the subsequent requests as well?

I will inlcude here to code i used and a zipped folder containing all the files of my mp3 player. What i would like to do, (i am not an actionscript expert and did this following a tutorial) is to include a download button for the track which is being listened, be able to insert the playlist 'track buttons' inside the scrollpane on the stage, and sort an annoying bug which makes the music form the player continue even when i leave the section of the site where its in, keeping the music in the background running and starting a new track ontop every time i renter the section where the player is placed.

I am using datagrid and added 3 columns to it in flex project. Data is provided to each column by using itemrenderer. Itemrenderer is checkbox for each column. Name of columns are col1,col2,col3. I want to make the checkbox in col1 selected when i selects the checkbox in col2. But i am not able to do this.

View 6 RepliesWhen I create a TLF text area that is editable at runtime (which means that it can get a user input at runtime) I set the text direction to the 'right-to-left' definition in both the 'container and flow' and the 'paragraph' sections and set the language for Arabic or Hebrew at the 'locale' setting. I also set the text alignment to the 'align to start' mode. Now at runtime there's a stange thing. When I try to click with the mouse cursor on the editable TLF text-box, it's not displaying the text icon cursor and don't allow me to insert text inside.
But when I move my mouse cursor over the right side of the editable TLF text box, it change his appearance to the familiar text cursor which indicate that if you click here you will be able to insert text input inside. So my problem is how can I make it that only when I will hover over the TLF text box itself, the mouse cursor will be changed to text cursor icon and when I will hover beside its right side, it will remain at the normal cursor mode.
