Jul 28, 2011I am trying to make a simple Paper page curl effect in Flash. It is animated, but does not need to be draggable. I am NOT looking for a digital magazine type draggable page turn. Just an animated one. I tried using the 3D component in Flash, but got a vey stiff result. I couldn't get the animation to bend, or warp the page. So it looked very flat and stiff. I would like a fairly natural page flip. Something that bends as it turns. There is a plugin in After Effects calle "Page Curl" and that is the basic effect I am looking for, but am trying to recreate it in Flash.

Feb 4, 2009I would like to know how to do the image flip effect featured on this site:[URL] Things I noticed: the images fade to white a little between flips. The flips are contained within a clear but drop-shadowed rectangular container. The images have a very flexible quality to them, bending kind of like a sheet in the wind. The flipping isnt prompted by anything, it just plays in a loop and the images are randomized.I decompiled the flash but was not able to find anything of use; the flipping images just appear as blue boxes in my window. May 26, 2011I'm trying to create something with a flip effect tutorial from tutplus - [URL] However my flip area is much bigger than the tutorial, it's 900px wide. Everything works fine except that it leaves a trail when the width is that big. You'll see it when you flip it a few times. Someone else posted the same problem in the comments from last year, but no one replied. Does anyone know a solution to this?
Edit: Here is a screen shot: [URL] The front is purple and the back is white. As you can see it left a bit of the purple as the page flipped to white. I couldn't get a screen shot of it turning, but it's even more obvious as the page is actually flipping because the width become narrow which reveals a whole lot more that's left behind on the page.

Mar 16, 2011Having a problem with a little animation involving balloons floating in and then floating out again when a condition is met. There are two ways they can float in or out: from left to right, or completely randomly. I actually like it as coming in (left to right) and going out (random) but it's essentially up to the user.
Since I moved my Array sort code into the function that basically deals with telling the balloons to float off though, I've been having problems. Sometimes one or a couple of the balloons will not float off and I'm kind of boggled as to why. Because it works fine IF the Array sort part is outside this function, I'm wondering whether, when the for loop at the bottom starts running, the Array is still being sorted and that's why some balloons get left behind.

I've looked at the other flip-book programs and editors out there, and none really give the customization that my company wants.I have something working, but the page scoping seems to be off. The pages will turn back and forward with a button click but they flip out of order. However, it all runs fine with no error when the user clicks on the pages themselves. It animates across screen, but not quite as i wish. If you download the script: www.playart.dk/scroller.rar -> you will see the text removes itself before another text from the XML is loaded in the flash...
The way i would like it to work where it all comes in at the same line, so you can see 2 captions(nodes, text) at a time in one line...
