ActionScript 2.0 :: Flash Buttons Makes A Html Page Load In Iframe
Sep 5, 2004
want to load a html page in a iframe when i click a flash button.
My code for the iframe:
[Code]....
Shouldn't that be alright? I've tried with _IFRAME too, but didn't work out. Instead of opening in the iframe, it opens in a new window. My flash button is on the main page, not in a iframe and the iframe is on the mainpage too.

I have a mx:html component in a AIR Desktop Application that load an external webpage into it...this webpage has an iframe in it and the iframe load (obviously) another page...I can't figure out how to get the code of the iframe...If I try to get the webpage content I only retrive the start page like:
It's like as the second page is not loaded, but it's actually be loaded and rendered in the browser window (i tried also using a button so I can delay the search for the iframe content.
I've made a site where an iframe calls to a top navigation element, with a javascript drop down menu. I have it working where the menu drops over a center flash element, but even when the menu is not "dropped" - any element in that area on the flash does not respond to clicks.
I've changed z indexes, and now i cant seem to get the flash file to even be ontop of the iframe -
I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".
The problem is, this works fine in google Chrome, but not in mozilla firefox or IE. So that eliminates the idea of it being a coding error on my part. Is there another way to do this that all three browsers will support?
I'm having a problem with flash/javascript/iframes. I have a flash banner that is positioned at a fixed position on the bottom of the screen. When I press a button on the banner, the page (which is an iframe) should change.
I got it to work using javascript. But it only works on the Internet. On my local computer it doesn't work. No error, nothing. it is a task for school (for my exams) so it should work only locally.
Check out: [URL] and click on "Vanille", the page should change.
Is it possible to use HTML frames with Flash? For example, I want to make a flash menu system on my site, and have the click of the menu buttons open up an HTML page in a different frame.
I have a .swf I'm inserting at the top of a page in DW. I have a button named "aboutUs_btn" which when pressed needs to load "aboutUs.html. That part works fine, but it always loads the page into a new window. How do I make it load into the same window? I could do this in AS2 with getURL and using _self. Here is what I have:
var aboutUsLink:URLRequest = new URLRequest("aboutUs.html"); aboutUs_btn.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,aboutUsClick); function aboutUsClick(event:MouseEvent):void{navigateToURL(aboutUsLink);}
I have created a webpage with a html menu and flash embedded underneath it.The problem is, the flash movie is in an index layer of -1 and the html menu needs to sit above it in index 1 for example.If the menu sits behind the flash the buttons are inactive, if the flash sits behind the html menu, its buttons are inactive.I have a div layer for the html menu and it not as high as the flash movie, but it doesn't make a difference, its seen as sitting behind and therefore the buttons don't work.
What im trying to do is to link my Flash buttons using as3 to make an iframe change the html page its showing every time i click on a different button. The web page is as follow: An html page containing a Flash menu and one iframe. I was using this code with no result:
Code inside Flash SWF File var bt1:URLRequest = new URLRequest("MY WEB PAGE"); function Fbt1(e:MouseEvent) : void{navigateToURL(bt1,"body");} bt1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, Fbt1);
Code inside HTML Frame: <iframe src="MY WEB PAGE" name="body" align="center" width="1010" height="500" margenwidth="1010" margenheigth="260" frameborder="0">Browser dont suport iframes</iframe></TD>
I get this error: 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method addEventListener through a reference with static type flash.net:URLRequest.
I have a basic html page and a big flash file I need to embed. I would like to allow the user to click on the links until the flash files loads.I was thinking of two ways to do this1. use an iframe and put the flash file in there2. use jquery to load and append the flash file to an internal div
can anyone tell me the coding for how to load an html page after a flash intro? i have my .swf file in my html page which plays to enter site, but intead of going right from clicking on enter and bringing up the html page i have it clicking on the 'enter site' which goes to a fade up animation which i would then like to end automatically at the html page.
can't for the life of me find this coding which seemed to me shouldnt have been this hard, all i can find is the geturl script which seems to only work for as2.
I want to get an idea on how the majority of people structure the flash websites they make.First, do most of you actionscripters, when creating a website, use a parent movie that holds the sites navigation and an embedded blank movie clip to load individual content pages? I get the feeling that is true because it saves a lot of space in your swf file.
That was the easiest question. Next, when you create a transition effect to keep the viewer occupied between loading different pages, how do you usually go about this?Assuming you have a blank movieclip in the main SWF to load individual page content.Do you have a movieclip animation that is called in the main SWF that is a layer above or masks the container movieclip which is loading the external content? Or, do you have the transition in the actual content SWF, with a transition in effect, midframe with the content, then transition out effect.
It seems the second choice might be a little more repetitive, but maybe a little more simple, then again, maybe not.My last question is not actionscript but javascript.I want to load my flash file from a link on an html page that launches a new window that is perfectly sized around the flash movie, with none of the menu bars and that works on windows(ie, netscape, opera) and MACs.As a secondary, if its possible,I would like to have the flash movie pop up into the center of the screen, right now it pops into the top left corner.Here is the script I have. It works for PCs with IE, but a friend that looked at it on her MAC had to resize the window:
My basic aim is to create a newspaper that consists of four pages. Each page i have created and are sitting in the library as sprites. Each page has buttons that need linking so that when pressed it loads the next page or page that i want. This is the part i am confused with =/ how do i make the buttons on each page load the next page (sprite) from the library??
Im doing a site where the menu is in flash, and the rest of the site is in HTML. I was wondering if it's possible to target an Iframe with Actionscript or flash?
I have been using Flash for years by the skin of my teeth. I like the asthetics so I can seem to stop using it. Anyway. I just threw this website together using a flash menu at the top and an iframe in the center to change the content. I know I could just re-do the whole site and make it work but I think that I am probably missing a really simple code fix in Flash to make Firefox load the pages in the iFrame. The website is www.greathousefarm.com and I am on a mac so I did it checking Safari and it worked perfect. Than my husband checked it in Firefox and it kept opening a new window instead of loading into the frame. [code]...
Is there a simple code addition I can use to tell Firefox to target the frame?
I have created a popup window in a flex website and I wanted to load a HTML page inside that popup. I tried many ways to do it but that way unsuccessful. Can someone recommend me a approach to get this done?
I am still used to AS2 and this is resulting quite complicated.I am trying to make it so that when the timeline stops, for a website to load within an iframe next to it.I have the .swf on the left and I want to open up content on the right.as an example, I want to open up within the iframe. This is the code I have so far:
stop(); var url:String = "google.com"; var request:URLRequest = new URLRequest(url);
I would like to place a scrollbar in the HTML page that is in the iFrame. I also would like to remove or hide the original scrollbar from the iFrame (without using the scrolling="no" since this stops scrolling all together). Is any of this possible? Am I able to control HTML scroll with a Flash scrollbar? Will I need to use javascript?
I understand my way around both actionscript, html, CSS, and some javascript....if any of this is a possiblitiy could you at least point me in the right direction? Would this be better if I built .PNGs and created Divs to build the scroll bar on the HTML page?
I have continued to find a resolution and have had no luck. My website has 5 flash buttons (tabs) to take you to a new html page. Each time you go to a page the button seems to have to re-load creating a "white blinking" inside the cell. The background of the fla file is black and I have the table cell background set to black hoping thatbut to no avail. I thought once a swf is loaded it won't have to re-load. The swf files are the same on all pages
