Xml :: HTML In Desktop Application Load A Page With An Iframe?
Nov 7, 2011
I have a mx:html component in a AIR Desktop Application that load an external webpage into it...this webpage has an iframe in it and the iframe load (obviously) another page...I can't figure out how to get the code of the iframe...If I try to get the webpage content I only retrive the start page like:
It's like as the second page is not loaded, but it's actually be loaded and rendered in the browser window (i tried also using a button so I can delay the search for the iframe content.
want to load a html page in a iframe when i click a flash button.
My code for the iframe:
[Code]....
Shouldn't that be alright? I've tried with _IFRAME too, but didn't work out. Instead of opening in the iframe, it opens in a new window. My flash button is on the main page, not in a iframe and the iframe is on the mainpage too.

I'm currently learning how to make facebook apps, and I've hit a problem. Usually when I make flash applications, I can use the index.html and run the swf from a webserver. However, I tried to make a facebook iFrame app using the same setup, all I get is the Alternative Content Text [URL]
I'm having a problem with flash/javascript/iframes. I have a flash banner that is positioned at a fixed position on the bottom of the screen. When I press a button on the banner, the page (which is an iframe) should change.
I got it to work using javascript. But it only works on the Internet. On my local computer it doesn't work. No error, nothing. it is a task for school (for my exams) so it should work only locally.
Check out: [URL] and click on "Vanille", the page should change.
I have an iframe to a page where a Flash swf file is running; does anybody have an idea how to make it transparent so that my drop-down menu should be shown perfectly? Kindly be informed I can't edit the source page (add param = wmode, value = transparent to the Flash object), only if there is any chance to make it possible in iframe or some JavaScript on my page, I have already tried allowtransparency="true" and background-color="transparent".
The problem is, this works fine in google Chrome, but not in mozilla firefox or IE. So that eliminates the idea of it being a coding error on my part. Is there another way to do this that all three browsers will support?
Is it possible to make desktop Air application by using HTML/JavaScript and Flash?Actually I want to make an Air app (which is for desktop) by using flash and want to use HTML , javascript and CSS as well.Is it possible ?
I want to specify a string value in the HTML containing my Flash created using Flex 3. This value is a URL that is used by the Flex code and I want another dev to be able to update it. How do I do this? I'm using Flex Builder 3.
I have a flash movie that loads another movie into a place holder container upon opening. So, 2 swf files - one is the main movie and the other the one that loads into the main movie. Works just fine when testing in flash or clicking on the swf files outside of flash. But when I embedd the main movie into my html page - the main movie loads ok, but it doesn't load the child movie. I have both swf files in the directory so I am not getting why it works fine except when placing into html page.
i'm new to creating desktop applications. I've a working site in php with mysql support. I want to convert this site into a desktop application. Is Adobe AIR or Adobe Flex better?can i use php as such in both AIR and Flex? or should i convert them to xml or something which it uses?
does anyone know how to display an external side inside a movieclip? I'm looking to have a movieclip basically load an html page (but i dont want the external html to replace all the swf content, I just want it to replace the movieclip loading it) not sure if this is possible
By far the weirdest thing I've ever seen. On some machines (!) IE (!!) attempts to load an SWF file via HEAD request instead of GET. This happens only when the page is running in Facebook IFRAME application - when running solo works fine. Naturally, on FF and Chrome everything works just fine. The SWF is embedded using jSWFObject. There's no visible common feature to the machines which experience this problem - laptops, desktops, XP, Vista, 7.
I am writing a desktop application and trying to decide between using AIR (FLex) or Java. Some of the requirements for the application are: needing to securely connect to webservices and JMShave a very interactive UI (lots oflittle and big features)displaying videoCommunicate with a C++ applicationTo implement the web services and JMS for Flex we were thinking of using Merapi to communicate with a Java application. Does this mean we should probably go with Java or does the better graphics capabilities of Flex still make it a better choice?
Can Flex be used for a desktop application whose business logic is written using Java? Everything I've read about flex uses a remoting or http protocol to communicate with the backend via a J2EE server, so I'm not sure how that would work for a desktop app (unless an embedded j2ee server was running in the app).
I have been looking all over the internet and I can't find any good (or recent) example from a air application where an image (for example) is dragged from the desktop in the application.
(and this are only the errors at the import section)I know this last one can be replaced by mx.managers.DragManager, but this is another class since than I get errors on "DragManager.acceptDragDrop" for example...
I'm building a quite large Flex application as our administration tools and I need build in documentation functionality. I want this documentation to be like a wiki and as we're using Google apps I though I'd use Google sites to host the wiki pages (why reinvet the weel...).he problem is that it seem that google site uses some form of iframe javascript breakout script and that when i load the iframe the entire page is loaded with the wiki page.
I have a flash navigation on an HTML site. When I click on a button in flash I want it to bring up a new page inside an Iframe. Is there anyway where I can get the on release command to send a variable to the browser to bring up that page in that frame?
I have a basic html page and a big flash file I need to embed. I would like to allow the user to click on the links until the flash files loads.I was thinking of two ways to do this1. use an iframe and put the flash file in there2. use jquery to load and append the flash file to an internal div
