I have created a popup window in a flex website and I wanted to load a HTML page inside that popup. I tried many ways to do it but that way unsuccessful. Can someone recommend me a approach to get this done?

I have to do the out of focus check and then do some validation before close the popup. So what I was thinking that is there any inbuilt focus check event or do we need to create custom event for that?

Originally, i wanted to bring in through <IFRAME> but i don't see that flash understands that.
I am creating a flash movie that needs to be wider then the space available in the html. The html has about a 300 pixel space where I can a flash "launcher" movie (with a html menu bar beside it) and I would like to open a 600 pixel flash movie above everything else on the page (html menu bar and all) but not using a traditional popup window or browser window of any kind (so there will be no issue with popup blockers).

how do you make an image pop up in a window javascript style, from flash?
i have a variable in flash, equal to something like "images/image.jpg", and I want to make a button so when you click it it opens up a popup window thats a certain size, without menubars/scrollbars etc, to display that image, like a javascript on your standard HTML.
I read that flash has a javascript API, so there must be a way to do it huh? Is it getURL stuff, maybe with a POST of my variable?

View 1 RepliesI have a main flash movie that has 6 navigation buttons for 6 sections of the website. Each button loads an external swf to cutdown on preloader time for the whole website. Within each section, for example section1.swf, there are a number of images you can click through, with previous and back buttons. On each image in section1.swf is a button so that you can popup a window with more related info and images. So, in section1.swf on the first image image1_mc there is a button pop_btn, and I would like it to open a popup_mc which loads an external swf. Popup_mc would have a close_btn to close the window. I have tried various things for 2 weeks, and have had no luck. I can open a popup window, or I can load a swf, but I can't figure out how to put it all together.

That part works fine, but it always loads the page into a new window. How do I make it load into the same window? I could do this in AS2 with getURL and using _self. Here is what I have:

I am trying to get a html popup window to open when my movie hits a certain frame instead of a button. Im using the following code but it uses a button instead of a frame to open the popup.

My web-app records users via webcam and microphone. I want to use HTML/JS for the controls and content, so I created two separate Flex modules: * A "Webcam Setup" module that lets you choose your camera and mic input devices * A "record" module that lets the user record and submit the recording
When I embed either of these on the page, since they access the user's Camera/Mic object, Flash shows the Privacy dialog that says "[mysite] is requesting access to your camera and microphone. If you click Allow, you may be recorded."
The problem is, if I answer Yes in the Setup module, and later add the Record module to the page using Javascript, it again shows the Privacy dialog.
Is there a way to avoid the second privacy popup?
I would think that saying "Yes" for [mysite] would store that permission for at least that session, but apparently not.
What I've tried I tried combining them into one SWF, adding it to the page once and moving the DOM element with jQuery's append() function when needed. When I move it, however, it reloads and asks me again.
I have a source file (test.fla) in the file i have a symbol called "vrviewer". I am trying to load an HTML page inside the viewer (vrviewer). The html page loads 28.ivp using the supplied ivp player called "pureplayer.swf" (this is called out in HTML (28.html). I would much rather load the ivp file right into flash (if i could) but do not know how to even begin doing that. I tried using the geturl function to call the html file into "vrviewer", but that did not work.
There is an event class called IVPEVENT in cs3 but im not sure if i can load my ivp file using just the class

I've done a lot of C# programming with both Winforms and WPF. I'm working on a Flex/Air app now for cross platform support. But this is my first flex project, so I'm learning as I go. I've got a window that I want to popup, that the user will fill out a form, then hit OK or CANCEL. I set it up the same way I would've in C#, but it doesn't work, and I can't really see a way to make it do what I want.
