ActionScript 2.0 :: Obtain Viewers IP / Location And Other Info

I would like to write a flash program that obtains the viewer's IP address, then obtains the viewer's state, and then according to the state it shows a particular picture. So if I put this flash on my website and someone from Massachussetts looks at my website they will see a picture of a MASS license plate, but if someone from NJ looks at the same site they will see a picture of a NJ license plate. I am familiar with some PHP, HTML, java-script and I have done alot Flash graphics work but I have not done any ActionScript which will need to be used here.

In the advanced search page you can specify 'near' a specific location and this 'near' parameter shows up clearly in the query string.However, Twitter does not support the use of 'near' in the public search api.Apparently you need to supply a geocode value.Can anyone suggest the best way for obtaining a geocode in Flash?
Is there a way (a method) to obtain the location of an item no matter where it is. Maybe something that looks for an item finds it's path and puts that path at to a _global
Im sorta beginner at AC3 and i've made a little FLA file wich i a want to compile and upload to a host for load it to my website.However, before i compile it i would like to put restrictions for it not to be loaded from other sites it might be requested by flash insert methods or whatever.Is there a way to retrieve info about the site or location the flash (swf) is being requested to be loaded/run?
I have some scrolling content (info). I've also made my own scroll bar.I want the scrollBar dragger to be positioned in relation to the info._y as the user scrolls info.I have created two vars: one that worsk out where info._y is as a percentage and the other that works out where the scroll._y dragger should be as a percentage...

also onMouseWheel working too.I need a small bit of code that takes the % of info._y and moves the scrollBar dragger to the same % but in relation to the Stage.height...so if projectGalleryPercent = 50%, make dragger._y 50% of Stage.height using scrollBarPercent.
I am trying to make an object tween from its starting location to the location of a mouse click. I have a script, but it has a very annoying ease to it.I would LIKE the object to mantain a certain speed during while traveling from its starting location to the mouse click location.
I created a simple button that displays an error messeage: "error opening 'url" when I test the movie, but does play and opens in browser after publishing. However, it won't open in the browser in a different location. I pasted the html code in a web page but it doesn't work there nor opens in the browser in a differnet location from where it was originally published and saved. Why is that?

Unfortunately some could not view it as they did not have FlashPlayer 10 installed.Is there something I can do that will let everyone watch it whether they have Flash Player 10 or not.
This deals with the (diverse) flash viewers that let you zoom in on images on websites. I trying to extract the large, zoomed-in image rendered by the viewer. In many cases the images seem to be dynamically called by the viewer, or are created only for the part of the image you are zooming on at that point. Ideally, the approach here would be a programmatic one that could be called on an identified flash element. Expect there is nothing universal, but interested in the top few approaches that will grab most cases.
I'm using Amazon EC2 and AFMLE 3.2. How do I generate a report that will tell me how many viewers I have watching?I figured out how to report on the Kb out in an hour but that only tells me average viewers, asuming they all watched an entire hour I need unique viewers and average viewers at different points in the webcast.

I want to broadcast Video from a web cam, over internet. The problem is, the Video will be viewed live by more than 20,000 people (expected). I have a very little experience with Red5 Broadcasting. I did some broadcasting using Red5 and Flash. It works fine for 1 or 2 viewers i.e. it is great for personal chatting/ video conferencing applications. But, when the number of viewers increases, the delay in Broadcasting also increases. I am experiencing a Delay addition of about 0.5 Seconds for every new user who joins the broadcast. which I can work out this Live Broadcasting. I don't want to use [URL] I want to create one of my own, such tool. But thats always the last solution.
One of my clients installed FMS 3.5 and has the following issue:
a model was video chatting w/ one or more customers in a chat room. but sometimes, one customer entered her chatroom but saw blackscreen only, couldn't see model's activity, nor the video. the model did not see that customer entering the chat room either.
How can I move my MC from one location (x, y) to another location (x1, y1) wirh action script..?.. and I would like to have my motion tween rounded to (x,y) so it will look sharp.

Here is the output in the trace window Array: 0 Files: 1,2,3,
As you can see the first is Array:0 which means that actionscript ran first trace ("Array: " + Pictures.length); End then lVars function. I cannot load variables from php in correct order.
Situation:I've got 2 swf files,1 is a preloader which loads the 2nd swf file, my site.Both of them, if started separately,work correctly.Problem:when I put the files together,linking the site's swf to the preloader,I get a null element error and the site loads no correctly.What I've understood :The preloader is ok, because I can remove the error message working on the site's swf AS code.In the preloader's code I have some lines to center its animation on the stage, I do that like this:

then using myStage.stageWidth and myStage.stageHeight I calculate the clip position
Also on the site's code I do the same to center a movieclip using exactly the same code, but it doesn't work and I've found that the problem is the myStage variable, not because it has the same name as the variable on the other file (I've tried to name it myFrame).It looks that on the site's swf the myStage variable can't be assigned and then results to be null.
Question: How can I obtain the stage's height and width since var myStage:Stage = this. stage; doesn't work?
I need to get the fillcolor from a legendItem, howerver doinglItem.getStyle("fill") returns a different color than the actual legendItem marker color. Any pointers on what am I doing wrong here?
