Is there any way I can prevent a swf from being downloaded? In IE I can use the temp folder to find the swf once I viewed it online. In FF I can download it using the page info window. In Safari through the activity window.
Does anyone know of a way to protect my swf's so people can only view them online, but not download them in any way?
I want the videos that I play on my site should only be streamed but should not be accessible to download softwares. Can videos be protected from downloading so that no one should be able to record them
(I have on a server an mp3, and the server is HTTPS that requires an certificate and a key (TLS) and I need to get that mp3 on flash)I found some classes (Crypto) but there the TLS it's only partial implemented and support for client-side certificates is not implemented yet.So maybe some of you worked with this and you know more things about it.f you don't know many things about the TLS security how can I protect from download my music that is played with an AS3 audio player on my website
I would like to protect my flash files. I would like to block any decompilers, protect actionscript and also protect graphics. Some time ago,I tried to decompile a swf and when I placed it inside a decompiler , it showed me a login form and no graphics.I believe that is the ultimate protection method.Do you have any idea what software can do that ?
So I basically have used the fileReference class to allow the user to download a determined file if he wants to.
I use the file.download(URL) function and it works well.
However, the file is downloaded and saved to the hard drive using only the flash player. The browser is not aware of the download, and thus, if I want to show the progress of the download I'd have to make some progress bar myself. I know how to do it, but it would become really tedious and take too much UI space.
Isn't there a damn way in Flash to "send" a determined file to the browser so that it prompts the user to download it? It's an image file, so navigateToURL doesn't cut it since it will just display the image, both if I use a new tab or the current one.
I'm working at a company which has high security environment.Akamai Download Manager starts to download a trial Flash CS5. However, it stops quickly and downloads nothing (zero byte).I want to download a trial Flash CS5 without Akamai Download Manager!
I generate a HTML page with VB.Net which stores several pinks to files. These links are formatted with JavaScript looking like the Windows-Explorer with folders and files. The problem: There are only download links for the files, not for Folders. A folder can contain Subfolders ,a List of Files or a combination of both. So if I want to download a folder, I have to click manually on every file-link. I have not the possibility to insert PHP or another Server-side language. my question now is: Is there a client side way to Download them by click on a Folder? I prefer Javascript but If it isn't possible Flash will be ok also.
i've got an AS3 project going out on cd. The project will consist of the SWF, several folder directories containing flvs, and folders containing ActionScript Classes used by the SWF. I'm not so much worried about protecting the FLV's or the Swf, but the cd could eventually be snagged by a rival company. is there a way to somewhat protect or encript external actionscript classes?
I have a flash application that plays .mp3 files. I use the Sound object and the .loadSound method. It is quite easy for someone to download the mp3 files from say a plugin for Firefox called DownloadHelper, or using the Safari Activity window. Is there a way to protect against this?
Is there anyway to protect an swf when it is placed on a webpage. I know I can copyright things, but this will not stop people from getting their hands on it. Is there any code I can do to stop any of these decompilers working on it or anything.
I have found heaps of preloaders that work on the time line of game but offer no protection.Does anyone know where I can get a sample code for this or where I can buy a preloader from so that it loads before the game and if someone tries to save the page they get the preloader instead of the SWF? flash designer I know said its possible but hasn't got time to create one. He gave me this code in a FLA but when I embedd the swf in to the site it doesn't load anything just displays the preloader
function setProgress(num) { _root.percentDone = int(num);
My flash app is pretty much finished, before II put it online I was wondering how does one protect it? for example from someone just taking the swf and putting it somewhere or from someone using one of those flash decompilers that turns a swf to a fla?
i want to ask question about swf protector against swf decompiler.i saw so many protector using obfuscator, encryption like that..i want to use FMS (flash media server) that will invoke callback function..i'm afraid using encryption, will not detect the name of the functionmy question is :is there any other solution except using obfuscator to handle decompiler?
I like to protect, with a password and user name, the incoming stream to the FMS (application Live Packager). How can I instal a password (I don't mean SSL), to prevent that unauthorized persons can stream their own content over my server. This means, the Flash Media Encoder should ask for a password and username.
I have images that I need to manage access to. I've come across osmf and rtmp streaming which are flash/adobe technologies and would require me to install a special server. Anyone knows of other ways to get the same effect with php.By "manage access to" I mean that the average user would not be able to save the page and save the image with it. If they want to view the image again, they would have to revisit, re-request it. Flash streaming server offers that, but are there non-flash/adobe solutions to compare it to.
"Give up" is not something you say to your employer who is a publisher and has legalrequirements to protect the IP other entities license to them. Sorry, but I don't make management decisions, and I'm not a lawyer. I work in the technical department and need to find the best technical solutions to what's being asked. If it still fails occassionally, I would say this is the best technology has now, and I've given it to you. I don't want to be found personally negligible when I should have done my best. Some people don't seem to have real jobs?
I am developing a elearning site and we have developed our courses in Flash. I want to know how we can prevent our courses from getting download from our site. Technology used for developing website is ASP.NET with C#.
I've just spent a few weeks on an flash project that I want to protect. The problem is my project has a lot of classes in external .as files. How can I protect these from being copied?
I'm developing some elearning material to be distributed on CD. The main swf loads text, images, sounds via an XML file. protecting the assets/XML from being edited/stolen?
Can an swf check to see what the url of the page in which it is embedded is? I don't care if other people host copies of the swf, but I dont want them to embed my copy in their pages, so I want to show some kind of default image if the html address is not my site
Iam currently work on the flash player it now almost completed but i have some minor problem. regarding protection my swf file on the web. some going tell me solution on that so no one can't decompiled from any software.
I have created a flash file and the company I have created it for now wants the fla.so they can make changes to certain parts of the action script. There are some elements that I want to protect as it took me months to develop. Can anybody give me a solution of how I can send them the FLA but at the same time protect the most important parts of my code? I was thinking that I could maybe create an external .as file for the bits of code that they want to change and like my fla to those parts.
Can i know whether there is any way to protect swf files from being decompiling. I have seen that some tools are available for decompiling the swf files.
I'm using the allowedSWFdomains.txt file to protect my rtmp link, can i add another protection option by Referrer site for instance, coz allowedSWFdomains.txt file isn't enought to protect my rtmp link from being used with other flash players .
