Is there any way I can prevent a swf from being downloaded? In IE I can use the temp folder to find the swf once I viewed it online. In FF I can download it using the page info window. In Safari through the activity window.
Does anyone know of a way to protect my swf's so people can only view them online, but not download them in any way?
I want the videos that I play on my site should only be streamed but should not be accessible to download softwares. Can videos be protected from downloading so that no one should be able to record them
View 3 Replies(I have on a server an mp3, and the server is HTTPS that requires an certificate and a key (TLS) and I need to get that mp3 on flash)I found some classes (Crypto) but there the TLS it's only partial implemented and support for client-side certificates is not implemented yet.So maybe some of you worked with this and you know more things about it.f you don't know many things about the TLS security how can I protect from download my music that is played with an AS3 audio player on my website
View 4 RepliesI am the maintainer of a site that has allegedly 'lost' the source code to a flash swf file. How do I decompile this source?
View 8 RepliesI prepared a project and i can published it without any error.Action folder includes actionscript files.But when i decompile the swf file there isn't action folder and actionscript files are missing.
NOTE : On CS4 I didn't face a problem like this and i could see Action folder when i decompile the swf file.
I am looking for a script that will go through ~75,000 SWF files that we have, will decompile each and find all the Shapes/Elements which size is greater than x.The output should look smthng like:SWF Filename "SWF Path" "SWF overall Size" "Element Name" "Element Size".Does anybody know of a software that might be able to handle that task?How do decompile scripts work ? would it be easy to write something to handle the above task?
View 2 RepliesDoes anybody know any way or any software which could decompile swf file to generate the source code mxml file and actionscript file?

View 1 RepliesI have a few buttons rigged up for downloading word.doc, mp3 etc
Problem is its opening the file rather than giving a download this file option.
I tried hard to do this myself, but it isn't working. I would like to offer $20 to anyone who can decompile this flash program, edit the actionscript to load an xml settings file from URL (instead of loading the one compiled with the program), and package it up for me. My main problem is that it doesn't decompile in a way that runs when recompiled with the programs I use.[code]...
View 2 RepliesSo I basically have used the fileReference class to allow the user to download a determined file if he wants to.
I use the file.download(URL) function and it works well.
However, the file is downloaded and saved to the hard drive using only the flash player. The browser is not aware of the download, and thus, if I want to show the progress of the download I'd have to make some progress bar myself. I know how to do it, but it would become really tedious and take too much UI space.
Isn't there a damn way in Flash to "send" a determined file to the browser so that it prompts the user to download it? It's an image file, so navigateToURL doesn't cut it since it will just display the image, both if I use a new tab or the current one.
I would like to protect my flash files. I would like to block any decompilers,protect actionscript and also protect graphics. Some time ago,I tried to decompile a swf and when I placed it inside a decompiler , it showed me a login form and no graphics.I believe that is the ultimate protection method.Do you have any idea what software can do that ?
View 2 RepliesI'm wondering if there's a way to protect a swf file from download, something like DRM video file.

View 1 RepliesI'm working on important project using Flex framework and i want to keep my algorithms and code secret. Is it possible to somehow protect swf file from being decompiled? I don't want someone extract my code using flash decompilers.
View 5 RepliesI have used settings.xml file in my swf file. Now i am very sure, somebody can grab the swf file, decompile it and get the full path of the settings.xml file. If they can do that, they can see everything inside the settings.xml file which contains lots of thing. Now my question is how to protect that xml file from getting grabbed when typed the full URL. One solution is to ecrypt/obfuscate the swf file, but i don't trust them fully. If given a little time, I can myself decrypt the swf.
View 8 RepliesI have flash player in my web site for playing the mp3 files.But if someone uses "viewsource" or any browser tools such as firebug, then they can find the parameter and then sort out the actual mp3 file url.I am using php in my back end.
View 1 RepliesI have a Flash file in which I want to embed a font, but the licence terms for that font mean I can only embed it in a file if that file is security protected to be non-editable. Assuming this means I need to take some sort of precautions to prevent the file being decompiled and the font extracted, is there any way of enforcing this?
Note: I don't care about the code itself being public, I just don't want the font file to be available.
the ActionScript 3.0 code snippet that redirects the user to the original web site if the swf is downloaded and loaded on someone else's web site?
View 2 RepliesWhat is the best way to protect the source code in a .as file? Right now if you access the .as in a web browser the source code is displayed. The problem is that when the .swf file is loaded on the client's machine, so is the .as file.
View 4 RepliesI've meade a .exe file with Flash 4. Everithing is ready and OK but I need to protect the images from being copied. How can I avoid the viewer to use the Print Screen key to copy the JPG's?
View 2 RepliesI would like to know if there is any way to find out the destination path of the saved file using the download() method of the filereference class.Cos if that is possible then i could do navigateToURL(_path,_blank) to open that downloaded file in browser Or if there is any other way to do this i would like to know. [If any other thread exists please link to it which answers this]

View 1 RepliesI have a small project that requires me to decompile a few SWF files in order to make some modifications to them. However, I do not own any Flash decompiler software.
I have searched for a freeware but, unfortunately, I cannot find one that outputs the FLA file.
Can someone that has a license to a Flash decompiler software please assist me and decompile the files so that I can work on them ?
I'm trying to download a zip file through Flash via a php file using this code:
FLASH:
getURL("download.php?filename=TheFileName.zip");
PHP:
<?php
// download.php
[code]....
Trouble is when I run Flash, the dialog box for the download just picks up the php file and not the zip file.
How do you decompile a swf file
View 3 RepliesI want to replace an image inside of a SWF File without the need to decompile it.
View 1 RepliesMy mission here (and I'll try not to convolute it too much!) is to edit a flash based form from a decompiled SWF. The form's main purpose is to record user information in text fields, attach a file and email both to an external address using a few PHP scripts (I'm presuming) to dictate how the information is delivered. My problem is that SO THINK decompiler does not attach ACTIONSCRIPT to the layers and frame in the timeline, instead it exports each Action-script as a seperate .AC file. I have not yet been able to export an FLA that allows me to edit the scripts effectively, and am wondering if there is a more effective way to use a decompiler in this case, or if there is another solution to the problem.
