[URL].. When I test my flash file, within flash it works properly. But when I upload it my content MCs at the bottom of the page are not showing up. Afghanistan content does show up, but the following countries do not.
I may have made a mistake in the method I tried using... I copied the content MCs into a new flash file, changed names and brought them back into the original file for the next country, to save time...or so I thought. Would that throw it off? I will continue to work on it.

I have images that I need to manage access to. I've come across osmf and rtmp streaming which are flash/adobe technologies and would require me to install a special server. Anyone knows of other ways to get the same effect with php.By "manage access to" I mean that the average user would not be able to save the page and save the image with it. If they want to view the image again, they would have to revisit, re-request it. Flash streaming server offers that, but are there non-flash/adobe solutions to compare it to.
"Give up" is not something you say to your employer who is a publisher and has legalrequirements to protect the IP other entities license to them. Sorry, but I don't make management decisions, and I'm not a lawyer. I work in the technical department and need to find the best technical solutions to what's being asked. If it still fails occassionally, I would say this is the best technology has now, and I've given it to you. I don't want to be found personally negligible when I should have done my best. Some people don't seem to have real jobs?

In code I use this before URLLoader (swf will be used with many different domains and this will be changing in time):
Security.allowDomain("*");
In http:[url]...., I have this for test:
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<cross-domain-policy>[code].........
I used [url].... to create access for any domain (for test) and copied it directly into file server and also test if [url].... is accessible. I checked flashlog.txt and found that [url].... is loaded but will be ignored because of its syntax error - its generated by crossdomainmaker website and also correct with specifications and examples over internet, so what can I do?

Is flash the best bet to keep images from being stolen? Is there any way to steal images from websites that use flash to display images. I heard that we can use firebug to download flash images. Is this correct?

I need to protect images embedded in a swf file. I've noticed Swf Encrypt scrambles the images, like so:
How is something like this achieved ? How does image scrambling work ? I've noticed the image is stored a bitmap. Not sure how information is stored.I imagine it would be possible to use something like AS3SWF to access the content of a swf, but what would I need to change for the image swf tags ? I don't know much about security/obfuscation/encryption, so any tips will be handy. The programming language for this shouldn't matter much.

I would like to protect my flash files. I would like to block any decompilers,protect actionscript and also protect graphics. Some time ago,I tried to decompile a swf and when I placed it inside a decompiler , it showed me a login form and no graphics.I believe that is the ultimate protection method.Do you have any idea what software can do that ?

I have used settings.xml file in my swf file. Now i am very sure, somebody can grab the swf file, decompile it and get the full path of the settings.xml file. If they can do that, they can see everything inside the settings.xml file which contains lots of thing. Now my question is how to protect that xml file from getting grabbed when typed the full URL. One solution is to ecrypt/obfuscate the swf file, but i don't trust them fully. If given a little time, I can myself decrypt the swf.

I have a Flash file in which I want to embed a font, but the licence terms for that font mean I can only embed it in a file if that file is security protected to be non-editable. Assuming this means I need to take some sort of precautions to prevent the file being decompiled and the font extracted, is there any way of enforcing this?
Note: I don't care about the code itself being public, I just don't want the font file to be available.

What is the best way to protect the source code in a .as file? Right now if you access the .as in a web browser the source code is displayed. The problem is that when the .swf file is loaded on the client's machine, so is the .as file.

I have a Flash projector (.exe) file which load some images from local hard drive and move them. This application is called by a VB app at the startup (so it runs when you turn on the system). Everything works fine but there is a terrible issue. Randomly it DOES NOT load all images. I try to figure it out with disabling "Hardware acceleration" in flash [URL] and also disable "fullscreen", but it happen randomly again!!

I have this project that requires opening pdf's in acrobat reader that needs to be burned on a CD ROM as a self contained EXE. So I am designing this in flash with buttons that will open pdf's, then I'm exporting this as a swf and importing that into Director and then exporting it as an exe. Why you ask... it seems when I export the flash file as an exe, it needs flash player installed to open the exe. This project needs to be burned on a cd rom and as a stand alone player that will open pdf's in reader.
So my question; Is there an easier way to do this? and How? 2nd, what is the code to open a pdf file from a flash swf/projector in (A.) Acrobat reader or (B.) explorer.

I am creating a Flash projector to work on a CD for a client to distribute. There has to be a listing of their PDF's in the flash program, that when clicked, will open the actual PDF in a separate window. I found one comment in this site to use "GetURL", but found out it is ONLY for HTML. There was mention of setting up the FSCommand to open another application, such as a PDF file, but how? I have the files in the same directory and tried putting the file name in the "GetURL" (the PDF file), but just freezes when trying to open. Also, is there a way they can drag and drop the PDF files to the desktop, that has the listings of the PDF's and save to the hard drive?

I have been asking a fair number of questions here recently and have been very pleased with the responses, so here is one more for you. Hopefully I can get another solution. :]
I have a flash project acting like a menu and being published as an .exe (projector). In this file, I have a button with the following code:button1.onRelease=function(){fscommand("exec", "openfiles.bat");}
I have an fscommand folder (in the same directory as my flash file) which contains the openfiles.bat, with one line: start myfile.txt
myfile.txt is also located in the fscommand folder. When I simply click on this batch file and run it, the text file opens as it should. However, when I click the button in my flash file, a command prompt window flashes too quickly to see with some sort of error message. It says something about not finding a certain directory and defaulting to the windows directory. I'm assuming it cannot find either my batch file or my text file. I am under the impression that as long as everything is in the fscommand folder it should work properly.

I have a flash projector file (.exe) that I need to add Code Signing to it so it does not say 'Unknown Publisher' in Vista. I read that for CS3 there is no authenticode signing. Was this added in CS4? I just want to check before I go ahead and purchase a 3rd party app like Juggler. Any software to add authenticode signature to a CS4 flash projector file? Jugglor is pretty old (2007) and I would like to know if there are more recent apps to package and sign projector files.

The powers that be have decided a project I'm working on shouldn't go on a website after all, but needs to be on a CD for Windows users instead and of course I only have a couple of days to made the "relevant tweaks" as they call them.It needs to run directly from the CD so I presume AIR isn't a good option.I've got all of it working by publishing to a Windows Projector executable. The bit I'm stuck with is allowing users to click buttons to open various directories which will be on the CD. These are source files for following tutorials from the main part of the CD. I've tried playing around with the various options in the FileReference class (namely browse() and download()), but they seem to be set up for use online only.

I'm using the FileReference to download a file (using a relative path). If I test it on the .swf on the browser it works. If I compile a .exe projector the download doesn't works.
