I've done some research but all I can find is help on how to fill the browser window.Does anyone know how to resize the browser window to fill the full screen - that works in both Mac and PC?I want to have an opening page in HTML and a button to open the .swf in full screen mode, centering the movie.
I have a problem with the following actionsctipt. what this actionscript does is to position the "mc_content" in the middle of page all the time, even the user trying to resize the window. but my problem is when you open the window "mc_content" is not align in the middle, but after you resize the browser it will adjust in the middle of the page.
I am working on a Flash app that is 900x700 pixels. When viewed in misc. browsers at 1024x768, the browser chrome causes robs too much of the vertical space and the app appears in a window with a vertical scrollbar. Unacceptable.
The flash app will be launched via a link emailed to the viewers.
I'd like to avoid resizing the flash app and am wondering if there's a way to do the following via javascript, with no clicks involved:maximize the current browser window remove current window address bar and tabs / switch browser to full screen view (equivalent to pressing F11).
An alternative would be to resize the flash app vertically to match the browser canvas height to avoid scrolling. This may cause the app to become unreadable, so not the best approach in my case.
UPDATE: Seems that browser resizing and autoswitch to full screen won't work and neither will the flash app auto resize. What is the best approach then? And, some users may have browsers with toolbars or open a small browser window.
The only idea I have is to use javascript and display a message to users with small browser windows to pres F11 manually. The audience is executes and some may not even know what an F11 means...
I'm working on a small flash site and I want the swf file to have "bleed" or to go to the very end of the window so that the swf isn't just ploped over top of a background. [URL]
I am working in Flash CS3 and Actionscript 3.0 My application resizes according to browser width and height. If the user first resizes the browser and then loads the flash application, I could not get the full browser width untill the user goes for full screen. Is there any way around, to get the full browser width before the user goes for full screen.
I'm building a course to be hosted on my LMS and am unsuccessful at resizing my external SWF files in my player.
My Flash HTML output contains:
HTML Code: <style> html, body {margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; height:100%; background-color: #ffffff;} body {margin:0; padding:0; overflow:hidden;}
[Code]....
When I launch introduction.swf in preview and resize my window, it all works great, but in the HTML page is does not scale the external SWF.
I have messed with various different solutions with now change in results.
I have a problem with the resizing of the background. This is the code i use bg_mc._x = 0; bg_mc._y = 0; bg_mc._width = Stage.width; bg_mc._height = Stage.height; How I can make this background to resize in full screen?
Im working on a full browser flash and i want to resize an xml loaded image to fit on it but i cant find the relation between proportions to set properly the x and y scale of the image container movie clip.
I am working on a custom AS3 video player and I can't find any information on modifying the skin when the player enters full screen mode. Take YouTube for example... When you enter full screen mode, the menu controls maintain their size with the exception of the scrubber bar, which widens to fit the width of the screen.Currently my player controls scale (width and height) in full screen mode and become very large.
Dear members and experts in Kirupa forum, first I apologize because I only join this forum just to ask this question . I already come across some flash forum but can't get the answer to my problem. If somebody from this forum come up with a solution, I may have myself a frequently visited forum. It works, of course... but that's not the problem.The problem occurs when I want to have button scrBtn that can toggle between Full Screen view and normal view.It is obvious that the image that I loaded in the movie clip will get pixelated.That's why when I click the scrBtn button here is the script:
I am developing for a project which I inherited, coded in Actionscript 2 but deployed for Flash 9 (I personally use CS4). Since this is AS2, there is no fullScreen option in the FLVPlayback component. The system I am working with uses multiple layers and movieclips in order to display an interface. Sometimes a video will be displayed as well; the video is published in a standalone SWF, using the FLVPlayback component which loads the FLV file.I created a button/movieclip combination which I would like to use to resize the FLVPlayback component to "full screen". What I do is this:
- read the browser window's available height and width using javascript - on the onRelease event for the button, resize the FLVPlayback to the maximum available size and place it at 0, 0. - on the other onRelease event for the button, resize the FLVPlayback back to its original dimension and place it back to its original coordinates.
My problem is twofold: the FLVPlayback skin disappears when I resize the FLVPlayback and it seems that the FLVPlayback is taking more space because I cannot see some of the content of the FLV itself.Does anyone have any experience with manually resizing FLVPlayback components?
But it doesn't work. No error, no warnings. So I don't know what is the problem. It works only in the flash player (Ctrl+Enter), maybe the HTML is wrong?
I have a full browser site and when it is resized smaller the elements will overlap each other. I'd like to stop them from overlapping by stopping the flash from resizing after a certain screen size is reached. [URL]
Code:
var w : Number = Stage.width; var h : Number = Stage.height; w = w < 800 ? 800 : w; h = h < 600 ? 600 : h;
I've tried this and it doesn't work for me...Here is the code that I am using to set the stage elements:
i have a question about resize listener for a full browser flash. OBJECTIVEto make some function like "initiateAll()" that will be triggered when Stage is resized.the function should "hide" all the elements and reposition/re initiate them when the resize is completedWHAT I HAVE NOWnow i am moving elements constantly using a function moveStuff() that you can see below.
Code: function moveStuff() { myBack._width = Stage.width;
I have a small snippet of code which stretches the swf to the size of the window... but it's only working if the window is resize and not on the initial load? I can't work out what's gone wrong?!
I have a swf that loads images from my server and resizes them to fit the 800x600 stage size. The original images are stored at 1024x768 max pixels. The user can press a button to go into fullscreen mode. What should I do to show the images at the best quality?
a) should I resize the loaded images to their max size (1024x768).
b) do I need to reload the entire image if it has been resized to 800x600 or is the original image still accessible and I can replace the 800x600 image with the original?
I am using AS2 and Flash 8 (but require users to have Flash Player 10 for fullscreen)
In ActionScript 2.0, I am trying to make my application resize to Full Screen mode (for Flash Player 9). It goes to full screen correctly, with the typical message "Press ESC to exit Full Screen mode".
What I need to do though is toggle a few elements' visibility on the stage.
It was designed in Flash MX 2004 on a mac. I need to make the site load full screen in the browser but with the content not to scale with the content to remain centered at all times if the screen size is larger than site. How do I do this? What publish settings does it need and do I use fscommand? Or does it need html code adjustment?
in fact i used fr-ode's full-browser image code. but i dont want to generate full browser images. i want to build a structure like [URL] as you see in site, photos scaling automatically when you resize the window. can anybody write me a statement for this? here is the fr-ode's code which distroyed by me
Just starting my first project using AS3 and using SWFObject to embed in HTML to get a full 100% width/height flash (photography site so needs to fill entire window, especially with widescreen).Is using SWFObject the best way, and what do you think the best width/height stage dimensions are?
I would like to launch a web site in a popup window wich adapt his size to the screen resolution of the visitor (fullscreen) what is the code that I have to place on the "launch" button ?
I'm trying to run my swf by going directly to it on my serer eg(www.example.com/mySWF.swf), later I will embed it using HTML or PHP, however Im wondering why it keeps getting resized to the window size, I want it to stay the size of the swf. In the publish settings I set dimension to Match Movie, and I set scale to No Scale in the HTML tab of publish settings, am I doing something wrong or can you not have it stay its original size without emedding it into html?
