ActionScript 2.0 :: Seek / Slider Bar - Scroll Back And Forth During Animation

I have successfully implemented a seek/slider bar into my Flash (Professional) 8 movie, but I'm having a small problem with it. On the stage, I have Movie Clip (instance name: MovieF) as well as this slider to control where you are in the MovieF clip. It let's you scroll back and forth during the animation, but unfortunately the dragger (the thing that indicates where you are on the seekbar timeline) does not move with the animation. From the start, it stays fixed. You can move it around with the mouse but, of course, when you release it, it stays where you left it instead of moving to the right side of the bar. What I can add to this to make the drager move along the bar at the same rate as the placed movie clip?

I've been toying around with this RepublicOfCode tutorial and changed a few things here and there.For example, I wanted a play/pause button in stead of seperate buttons. And I wanted a stop button so people can actually stop the music.Now here lies the problem, play/pause works BUT after I've stopped the music, the music will start again with the play button but it wont pause, it will just start the song again and again and again... On a side note, I wanna try to add a volume slider, seek bar, time remaining, and possible (if i can figure it out, probably also has to do with the XML) a playlist.[code]

I'm not able to create a working seek bar (or progress bar or timeline bar) to give the viewer complete control for where they want to play an animation. The animation is a .fla file, which moves frame-by-frame with motion tweens). There are 4446 total frames (at 12 fps), so I'd like the viewer to be able to skip ahead or back as they desire. The instructions I've found so far all have to do with FLV files instead of FLA.I've tried the following Actionscript, but I get errors(which are also listed below). As the seek bar object, I'm using the UIScrollBar (with a horizontal direction).[code]I'm more than willing to try a different Actionscript.

I'm trying to create a slider/scroll bar similar to the one at this site: kurtnoble.com. If you'll notice, the scroll bar can "bounce" of its perimeters. I'm not very experienced with actionscript at all. so any guidance, help, etc.

I Have a question regarding a dynamic XML driven image slide show.
I want the movie to slide continuessly from the left side automatically when it is loaded. Now it only loads when a mouse movement enters the screen.

Im trying to make a slider that when moved will scroll through the timeline. There is 5 snap intervals in the slider and 5 "key moments" in the movie. When the slider is snapped 2 one this will scroll to the first "key moment".

I'm having an issue with scroll bars. I used the scroll bar component in flash and have scroll bars set up for my text fields. I have all the target names correctly. It plays perfectly when I test it in flash, the scroll bars show up with the text. No errors. I uploaded it to my server to test it and the text shows up but I can't scroll it, the bar shows up but the slider inside doesn't. I don't get any error messages from my browser either.

If my flash movie is say, 800x1000 pixels long, so the movie is roughly 2 pages LONG, allowing the user to scroll downward. Then how do I use actionscript to "scroll" the user back up to the top of movie, if they press a button/etc.

when the video reaches 1 minute, a button appears. is there a way to hide the button again if the user uses the seek bar to go back to the 30 second (or any time before 1 minute) point?

I have 3 pictures and animated it using motion tween asusual.Now, I want to create a slider so that user can drag alongforward and backward so that the tweened animation movesaccordingly. Eg the whole motion ends in 10 secIf user drag slider to far right it goes to 10 sec frame andif it position to middle the movie go to 5th sec. etc.How to do this to associate the slider to frames ?

I am currently using the code below on a scroll that can go up and down depending on the ymouse. The problem I am having is that when the movie loads through html it will not scroll until you mouse over it. It's like the movie is paused. If I remove the onEnterFrame it scrolls fine without issue but the rest is broken and it basically does nothing but scroll. I do not have it checked to pause at start. It does preview fine within a flash preview.

I am having a problem incorperating some scrolling text as an external SWF. As it's own movie file, the scroller works fine, but one the file is exported and used as an external SWF with the container method, the scroller does not work.
The text shows up, but the up and down buttons do not work. Can anyone lend me a hand, show me a different way of scrolling that is legit and will work, or suggest another method to do this?

I have a layer called "home_movie" and on that later on the end frame is a movie clip that plays, what i want to happen at the end of the animation is it to send the user back to the frame above they started at. which is layer: home_movie, frame id: main_movieopt but its not working.

I have been trying to create a animation with horizontal scroll to begin on mouseOver. There are a set of 8-10 swfs movie, which I am calling though a xml file into the main scroll movie clip. I would like to animate and call the swfs in such a way that they drop into the screen and stay on a 800px width movie screen, on mouseOver the horizontal scroll should begin.I have seen a lot of threads for the sroll, in all the threads the movie is scrolling and on MouseOver it stops.

after i done all the animations and i want to paste it another fla. the movie clip animation positions not in the stage anymore, after i click on the timeline of the movie clip, it set path the movie clip to -8000+ X and Y. even i want to set to any number, it pop out invalid position. i have to use mouse drag the number back to position that i want. it's totally drive me crazy... really unstable.. sometimes i open back my fla, the movie clip position run too and i need to use transform tool double click set back to 0.

I have an MC "homeBtn" that I'm using as an animated button. The "homeBtn" is made of 2 mirroring MC's named "topMC" and "bottomMC" since they mirror and function the same I will be addressing only the "topMC" Inside "topMC" is the animation named "liquidMC" These are all MC properties. Below is the AS3 Code. Works well but when the mouse scrolls out the animation is stuck ie stops animating and not going back to frame 1

so suppose I have a long sound recording as part of a Flash presentation.Can I put on the presentation a scrollbar and start /stop/ pause/ resume buttons as in Media Player or Windows sound recorder that would allow me to scroll to basically jump to any moment in the sound recording? What I have is a map that you can click on points and it will zoom in, you can also click on a "plus/minus" buttons to zoom in and out (I even have the mouse wheel zooming in and out). The client wanted me to add a "zoom slider bar" to it so you know you could move it up and down to scale it. Everything is working except the slider, I can't seem to get it to work with the position of the slider. All of the zoom functionality is there but the slider is killing me.
I am putting up the fla file since there is a lot of code in there and I didn't want to put it all in the forum. if you look in the fla in frame ten on line 726 you can find the function that is supposed to handle the zooming when you move the slider. Up on line 74 you can find the slider onPress and onRelease functions, but those I believe should be fine.

I am trying to create a basic timeline, similar to the timeline we all use in flash (see attached).
I have a playhead slider, which when dragged, just drags within its startDrag() limits.
I also have horizontal window scroller which also when dragged, just drags within its startDrag() limits.
I am trying to work out how to get the horizontal window scroller to scroll when the playhead slider hits the left or right edge. I am using hittest for this collision.
I have the playHeadSlider scrolling along the top. When playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing I want mcContents to then move.
It kind of works.. mcContents moves when the playHeadSlider is in collision with the hittestThing.. but it just moves rather than 'drags' across. I have it set up so that mcContents is twice the width (approx) of mcScrollWindow.
I need to somehow update what I have so that if the playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing on the right, mcContents only moves to the right and if playHeadSlider collides with hittestThing2 on the left, mcContents only moves to the left.
