Flash :: Send The User Back At The End Of The Animation To The Frame Above They Started
May 9, 2011
I have a layer called "home_movie" and on that later on the end frame is a movie clip that plays, what i want to happen at the end of the animation is it to send the user back to the frame above they started at. which is layer: home_movie, frame id: main_movieopt but its not working.
I bought a flash intro, I dont want it to be an intro, I want to use it as a banner (995x200). I eventually managed to get all the elements right, I published it and preview it, it looked well and what I wanted. The problem is, when I added this new banner to my website and preview it, it still looked well,I got my website ready and published everything but the whole thing just reverted back to what I originally started with (800x600)
I have a project in Flash Mx 2004. On the first frame there is a menu with 4 menu items. When the user clicks an item, they are taken to another frame with some text and an exit button that takes them back to the menu. The forward button will not become active until all of the menu items have been viewed. There is no particular order for the items to be viewed, just that they all be viewed before the forward arrow is active and the user can continue. I tried puttin an action on the exit button to disable the related menu item, however, the item just resets back to enabled each time a user re-enters the frame.
I'm looking to send a list of variables (say 6 in total) from php to flash and for flash to pick a random one and send it back to php when clicking a button.
I would like it to appear in a dynamic text box. That randomly selected variable needs to be sent back to php on pressing a button.

I have multiple frames with stop-points and labels on my timeline and an action where if the user holds down the button for >1 sec it will go to one frame, if <1 sec it will "gotoAndPlay" a warning animation. after that animation plays i want them to be sent back to the initial frame that they were previously in.
I have an MC "homeBtn" that I'm using as an animated button. The "homeBtn" is made of 2 mirroring MC's named "topMC" and "bottomMC" since they mirror and function the same I will be addressing only the "topMC" Inside "topMC" is the animation named "liquidMC" These are all MC properties. Below is the AS3 Code. Works well but when the mouse scrolls out the animation is stuck ie stops animating and not going back to frame 1
My objective is to paste together several ( a lot, actually ) armature animations, each in a separate symbol.I have no idea how to do it, armature layers are a bit... strange. So i see only one solution: convert it to a regular layer.
I'm making an animation of a line drawing itself. I'm using a vector line that I drew in Illustrator, which I imported to the stage. I have been erasing a bit, inserting a new keyframe, erasing it a bit more, new keyframe etc. When i have finished this I intend to reverse the sequence so the line appears to be drawing itself. This process has been going really well, but at 1820 frames in a section of the line has started to shake/jitter (by which I mean from side to side very quickly). I deleted the frames and did them again, using the same process that I have for the rest of the line which is not jittering, but this small section is still jittering. It doesn't jitter or move when I move between frames, it only jitters when I play the movie by pressing Command + Enter or I export it as a Quicktime .mov file.
PS here is a YouTube video of the problem. The jitter starts around the bottom of South America. You may need to make it quite big on your screen to see it. You'll notice that that part of the line doesn't jitter most of the way along, but starts to jitter when it gets to that part.
I have a Flash website with 3 interfaces( 3 frames with movie clips inside). they have a button that goes to different loaded .html page(text). But once the back button is pushed on the web browser, it always goes back to the first frame instead of the actual last page, which might have been frame 2 or 3.
I am searching how to send variables from a php webpage to a flash animation that it will be integrated into anther webpage ... Little exmple : An user enter his name in an input in a php page then when he clicks submit button his name will be shown in a flash animation
Now I have 2 movieclip. Mc1 & mc2. I planned to to make mc2 do certain animation and user must input the key within the progress animation of the mc2 in order prevent something happen
I have a project that involves flash animation- almost movie like. I need some advice on how to do flash animation. I think I'll create the graphics in illustrator. Basically, the storyline is this:
- guy leaves house and walks to car
-starts engine, puts on shades and speeds off
-scenes of downtown chicago (nightlife)
-view license plate
What is the best way to do this? create graphics in illustrator for frame by frame? Should I use after effects? The client doesn't have a high budget so video is out of the question.
I'm using NetStream class to create p2p video conferension. Is it possible to add overlay pictures or animation into video captured from webcam and then send reencoded stream to other user?
after i done all the animations and i want to paste it another fla. the movie clip animation positions not in the stage anymore, after i click on the timeline of the movie clip, it set path the movie clip to -8000+ X and Y. even i want to set to any number, it pop out invalid position. i have to use mouse drag the number back to position that i want. it's totally drive me crazy... really unstable.. sometimes i open back my fla, the movie clip position run too and i need to use transform tool double click set back to 0.
I am but a lowly martial arts instructor who has 'foolishly' decided to try and do our website. I decided to use a flash template which has actually worked out ok (word to the wise - DON'T BUY FLASH TEMPLATES UNLESS YOU ARE WILLING TO KISS YOUR LIFE GOODBYE FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS).
Anyway, I wanted to put a news ticker on the site to display 'latest news' - I took an example that was kindly supplied from this site, and it works fine. However, I just cannot figure out how to create a link in the XML file that when clicked takes you back into another part of the flash site. I can get it to link to an external URL no problem at all but just cannot get the link to take it back to a section of the site I want it to go to.
I've got a bunch of movieclips lying on top of each other like a stack. When you click one, it slides out, and comes forward. When clciked again it goes back and slides back into the stack.inside the movieclips iv'e placed:
Code: this.swapDepths(1);
along the timeline at a spcific frame.I need to make it get the same depth value as it had before I clicked it when it goes back. Basicly:
I need to write actionscript for a code so that when I place two graphics on one another when I click them they go to the back, that way I can click them and they will alternate. How do I do this?
I've got some movieclips where everytime when you click on one, that movieclip has to be send to the back. Most logic solution is MovieClip.swapDepth(1), so you swap with the movie wich is at the lowest depth, but for one reason or another, this results in the movieclip jumping to the front. An examplefile is in attachment.this is my script:
I've developed a website and on the home page there is a series of css/ javascript dropdown hyperlinks. Some of these hyperlinks display a popup menu of further links on mousemover. Immediately below the hyperlinks is a small flash movie.
The problem is, when you mouseover the links and it displays the popup links, the flash movie appears OVER the drop links.
Is there a way I can either send the flash movie to the back using some kind of 'send to back' option like there is in dreamweaver? Surely I don't have to restructure my page to allow for this?
I've been using flash vars to send info (such as numbers) into a swf file. I need to send info back to the webpage. something as simple as a interger (maybe, send as a "GET", like in a forum) if you could give me some sample code, or some keywords to look up
I have a project that have lots of Scenes (50 or so with lots of buttons that link to movies, in most cases I have several buttons linking to the same movie) So..I created a scene called "movies".I have about 90 movies on each frame (90 blank keyframes) with a stop action , FLV Move Progressive download, and a back Button on each framewhen the user clicks on a that back button I want the program to go back where the user just was, Not the Previous Frame with in the timeline or scene.
