I have found and read about vibrating actionscript for single frame things but am wondering if it is the best thing to use for say 10 frames where I want to make an item "vibrate". I couldnt get the actionscript from the tutorials to work well for this - does anyone have any ideas or code that might be good to put over 10-20 frames and add a vibration?

Feb 8, 2010I followed a text base mouse trail tutorial and the random vibration tutorial (found here). The issue I am having is being able to use both at the same time. I can either have the text based mouse trail OR the random multiple vibrating circles, but not both. I think it has to do with the "MovieClip" name. Jun 5, 2004I have created this site with a expanding / collapsin menu. When a user selects a menu e.g. "hammers" then the menu is loaded and show the submenues. When the users closes the menu by moving the mouse away from the area the menu collapses. If the user expands the menu again the menu should have remember the last visit menu and show the menu.

The problem I'm experiencing is that when I update the dynamic text in the menu, it doesn't seem to go through. I know I am referencing the dynamic text correctly as when I run the swf for the first time, I briefly see the correct text for about half-a-second before it is replaced by the default dynamic text. There is something that is overwriting the new text with the default values but I cannot see what is causing it.
I am changing the dynamic menu text in _root although the dynamic text exists in nested movie clips i.e. '_main.menu_mc.menu_panel_1.menu_button_1_1.menu_b utton_text'.

I want to have 8 text buttons (hat, shirt, pants, etc) on the menu and when you click on the text button, the image of hat will appear on the figure, so I'm not asking drag and drop kind of effect.But I still want to be able to click on the hat and make it disapper,what's the actionscript I'll need to do this??

Linking URL Or Text To 8 Different Menu Items In A 3D Carousel
Nov 13, 2010I created a 3D carousel in CS5. It works wonderfully. For now, I have it set up so that if someone clicks one of the menu items, the output window say "commited suicide after being cyberbullied", what I want to do is either have different text (that shows in the window) for each of the eight menu items when clicked, or 8 different URL links for each of the menu items, when clicked.

<button>test</button>
<image>test</image>[code].....
it that would be easy to call with:
xmlInput.menu[i].button.text()etc.etc.etc .so i thought
<menu button="test" image="test" link="test"
</menu>
would do the same thing.but looks like it doesnt work the same way.does anybody know what i would have to write instead of xmlInput.menu[i].button.text();etc?

May 16, 2004My menu has 3 movieclip buttons, with text. I broke apart the text to change the color onMouseOver. Problem is the button only works when the mouse is pointed over the actual text, so it doesn't work properly, because the text is obviously very small. I can't put a "field" behind it, because it will become part of the MC, and thus will change color. Here's the example: [URL]
