My first scene which is a intro clip, containing motion tweens of text, works fine but when I click enter and get to my site as soon as I move the resizer on my browser my stage jumps far off the page and I can only see the bottom of it.
I'm still farely new to flash so this my be real easy i make my flash site stay centered in the browser no matter what size screen they are viewing it on....i like the look of a clean centered site not matter what size the screen you view it on.
View 5 Repliesi have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. How can i fix this without resizing the site. i want the users to see with the proportions that i have now.. ijust want a scroll on the browser.
View 2 Repliesthe flash4 published set of files, with a variety of skins tried, works well on the local drive, even when moved to a different folder structure. when index.html is opened on the remote web site, the browser (firefox3 and ie7) displays the player conrols and a rotating horizontal barber pole, green and black, but no flash video.some of the skins i've used are: SkinOverPlaySeekFullscreen.swf, nOverPlayStopSeekCaptionVol.swf and SkinUnderPlay.swf. all work locally but do not play the .flv file on the web site. no problem playing flv movies on the remote web site if the file set is created by dreamweaver.

The dimensions width and height are correct but the loaded drawing is not at 0,0.

I found the kirupa's tutorial Launching a Centered Pop-Up Window very suitable to what I want, but there is a problem. Only one link works. When I made the second link, an output error appear

I have been using code I recently found on Kirupa called Displaying a Centered Pop-Up Window.I have this feature attached to 6 buttons that pop up windows to different URL's. The window gets stuck on one size and completely ignores my attemps to change to a different size... like it's locked into my first code of 600 x 300. Once it moves to that point I would like zoom slider to zoom keeping that coordinate in the center of its zooming range. How do I import a .swf so that the entire thing--all 50 frames of it in the case of the animation I'm importing--is centered on the Flash Stage? (I am using CS5). When I import it now it's automatically positioned in the upper left corner of the stage. And when I try to select all frames and align it to the center in the properties manager it will only center one frame of the 50-frame .swf at a time.

The code is in 10 different buttons, each loading a different content for the same popup window. In Safari, if I click on the parent window and then click on another button, the popup window will come back on top of all other pages automatically, but it does not work with Firefox. In Firefox, the popup window will stay behind the parent window. I'd like for the popup window to be always centered on any screen.

Toggling, by first zooming in and then fighting to push and pull it the right way, is not only a pain and frustrating, but it also decreases the quality of the image. I know what it looks like when it's clear, but if I need to send it to someone else who doesn't have the program and only the flash player, they are not going to be able to view the image at it's best. I am having a problem trying to center a movieclip within an externally loaded swf. To test, I placed one instance of the movieclip on the first frame of the timeline on child.swf and centered it and the other is displayed using actionscript. They both align perfectly when I test the swf. The problem is that when I load this swf into another movie (parent.swf) they are no longer aligned with each other. I used this code to align the movieclip in child.swf. It works fine when I open child.swf on it's own but when I load child.swf into parent.swf the movieclips are not aligned.

I followed a tutorial here on kirupa on how to make a centered pup-up window. I kinda got it working. But when i test the movie out a blank page with the word "object" in the left corner appears behind the photo-gallery I have in the pop-up. When I upploaded it and tried if it would work "on the net" the button that brings up the pop-up does nothing.
