I am trying to centre my flash site I have used the following code:
stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_BORDER;
stage.align = StageAlign.TOP;
My first scene which is a intro clip, containing motion tweens of text, works fine but when I click enter and get to my site as soon as I move the resizer on my browser my stage jumps far off the page and I can only see the bottom of it.
I have my swf file, how do i set the alignment so its always centered in the browser at the top & in the middle, it keeps going top left corner, also how do make the page always fit to screen size?

View 5 RepliesI am loading a MovieClip using MovieClipLoader. When the MovieClip starts playing, it changes the alignment of my stage to LT, which incorrectly repositions all the other objects on my stage.
Is there anyway for me to:
Prevent the MovieClip from changing the alignment of my stage? Adding an event handler to an appropriate event, so that I can reset the stage alignment when it gets changed?
I have already tried resetting the stage alignment on the onLoadInit event of MovieClipLoader and the onEnterFrame event of MovieClip, but both seem to reset the alignment too soon.

I've ceated 18 buttons 1-18 on two rows and using the alignment tool made then all gapped the same and in line etc. I now want to centre the two rows of buttons on the stage. I've shift clicked to select all the buttons but no matter what option I pick in window alignment I can't get it to work.

View 2 RepliesHow do I import a .swf so that the entire thing--all 50 frames of it in the case of the animation I'm importing--is centered on the Flash Stage? (I am using CS5). When I import it now it's automatically positioned in the upper left corner of the stage. And when I try to select all frames and align it to the center in the properties manager it will only center one frame of the 50-frame .swf at a time.

View 1 Repliesi have made a site in flash. stage size 955x600 i have exported it as fullscreen with no scale. the problem is that if i browse the site with a resolution of 800x600 (760x420 if i'm not wrong), the browser dont' add scrolls and its impossible to see the complete site. I am new to Flash so this may be a basic question, but I have not been able to find anything in the help files or the forums. I have tried several times to change the size of my quicktime movies, from 550 pixels by 400 pixels to 480 pixels by 480 pixels, and I cannot seem to do it. I have used "Modify > Document" and tried every option I could find through this command. Each time I export I double check that the export settings match my desired size, and they do, but when I open the movie in quicktime, it has been stretched to fit 550 x 400 pixels. The preview movie looks exactl how I want, it is only the exported movie that is incorrect. Is it possible to make a quicktime movie of the size I would like, or is that a standard format that cannot be adjusted?
As a workaround, I have tried squeezing my 480x480 content into the 550x400 stage (while scaling it prportionally). but when I do this, the square of content is not centered in the background in quicktime. It is off center in the preview movie as well, and this commonly occurs after I have used "modify > document" to change the size of the document. The side to which it is aligned seems to be inconsistent. Is there a way to realign the video after I have modified the document size? Does changing the document size through "modify > document" affect the centering and alignment of my video? Is there a way to change it back?

View 4 RepliesI am a motion media designer trying to incorporate some of my work for a client into a website for her Christmas gift. I am trying to resize a .swf to match the browser size, as the fixed size is really messing with my otherwise-resizing layout. Every time I set the width/height of the .swf to "100%" or "auto", the movie gets cut off at the top and bottom under the div containers. When I change the size of the container to 100%, I get a long, thin movie. I've copied my code below, Feel free to criticize anything else about my code, too--I'm a CSS virgin.

View 16 RepliesI need a MC 'A' to play on stage when the site starts. When any of the 4 out of 5 MC buttons in navigation is clicked, another MC should show instead of MC 'A' on the stage. Only when 1 MC button is clicked anything other than MC 'A' should disappear and MC 'A' should play. I wat to achieve this and trying to figure out how to best do this.

But it doesn't work. No error, no warnings. So I don't know what is the problem. It works only in the flash player (Ctrl+Enter), maybe the HTML is wrong?
I have some people making a site that uses PHP and mysql. You will be logging in first to the PHP site, but the Flash based component of it requires to use the same log in and password. Do they have to log in twice??????
