some browser sizes it looks fine but at others because the mc uses the browser window width and heigth/2 to find the middle of the stage.But at some sizes the half of the browser windows becomes an uneven number, which is blurring the pixel fontthe pixel font is in the mcSite mc) How can I solve this?

I have a number of fixed field sizes I want my text to stay within but when the browser is expanded to full screen it changes the fonts so the text no longer fits in the text boxes and it forces scrolling.

On a few images I have a 1 pixel black frame so the images need to remain on whole pixel locations to remain crisp. Generally everything works well but sometimes when you resize the browser just right it somehow puts them in between pixels.
View 2 RepliesI've created a small pixel-font that I want to use in a Flash game. Each letter is 6 pixels tall, and 7 pixels wide. I've saved a PNG file with all the letters from A-Z lined up next to each other. Basically, I'd like to be able to have a system where I point to the PNG file and say "A is position (0,0) to (7,6), B is position (7,0) to (14, 6), etc" then render those individually on the screen as letters in my font.
I was inspired to do this by watching (the creator of Minecraft) Notch do it in a video of him making Megagun. So, has anyone done anything like this before? Is there a simple library that will let me do it already?
I'm still farely new to flash so this my be real easy i make my flash site stay centered in the browser no matter what size screen they are viewing it on....i like the look of a clean centered site not matter what size the screen you view it on.

I have gone through it all and it works great for the tutorial but I tried replacing the background with an image and when the browser is resized to full screen it distorts the image and stretches it out of proportion. Does anyone know how I can have the background image resized to the full screen and stay in proportion?

I've made a preloader that shows the percentage that is loaded with a pixel font. It is dynamic, can people without this font on their computer see it? If not, how can I create this preloader so everyone even without that font can see it?

If the user first resizes the browser and then loads the flash application, I could not get the full browser width untill the user goes for full screen. This SWF is non-resizable, and it is centered inside a browser window in such a manner, that both bottom AND TOP get cut off if the screen size is smaller than that of a flash file.Usually an embedded SWF would be tied to top left corner of the browser window in case of a smaller screen. In other words, top edge and left edge of a SWF file would always start at 0, 0 if the screen is too small. URL...Java script on the index page launches the full-screen browser window. View 4 RepliesI'm building a website here and It's a fullscreen flash site. Everything is grouped into an MC on the main timeline. This main MC has a Navigation MC with buttons in it and a Content MC. And I'm using this code on the MC to keep it all centered in the browser:

And when I run this swf in an html file, it doesn't center in the middle of the browser... It's way over to the right. It just wont stay in the center of the browser window like its supposed to...

View 3 RepliesIn order to use a pixel font in my textfields, I have created a font class in the Flash IDE. Then, I created a TextField instance with the font embedded with the anti aliasing set to bitmap. I export an SWC with all those things.I created a class with a nice API to be able to deal with this stuff easily.In FDT, I use class and this all works properly.
The issue here is that I now want to use one of these textfields as an input. I tried setting the textfield type to TextFieldType.INPUT, however the only thing that this does is allow me to select the text, I cannot type. I also created another asset with the type already set to input, does not work either.I tried with just the asset, not with my class, and then I can type ok.Is there something that prevents a textfield from being editable once it is part of a sprite? to open the page on default browser. Only problem is the browser window is opening at the size it was last used. I like to see it opens full screen.
