actually what i want is that

flash video fadeOut time should start after buffering completely.

I tried to search for tutorials here at Kirupa but it seems I keep on bumping on a dead end. I have a problem with a video clip I imported to my flash movie. When I am on the editing screen, I can see that there is a TOOL BAR below the movie. But when I publish it, it doesn't show anything at all in the browser. The movie then is not preloaded. And by the way, I placed a preloader at the beginning of the frame but it seems that the movie is not preloaded so it jitters as it plays frame by frame. [URL]

Ok, so I have tried and tried to figure this out. Of course in the test environment everything works beautifully, but when I test my swf on my site, thats when the sh*t hits the fan.

The problem is my buffer bar wont show up until the video is completly loaded. In flash however, it loads across as the video is downloaded, like it's supposed to.

Go to my site to see what I am talking about. The loader bar appears uder the progress bar, exactly like on youtube. www.blankensteincreations.com

Here is the code that controls it.

I have a combobox in a view that receives information about application state changes, and then is supposed to show or hide it's children based on the whole application state. It receives state change messages, it traces the correct values, it does what it's supposed to do, however, it just doesn't seem to work. Essentially, all it needs to do is hide a combobox during one state, and show it again during another state.[code]

I am creating a menu this way :

myMenu = Menu.createMenu( null, myMenuXMLListCollection, false );

and then showing it with :

myMenu.popup( 10, 10 );

but the menu doesn't disappear automatically when i click somewhere outside the menu.

Is there some way to make the menu disappear automatically when i click outside it ?

I am making a flash presentation I have buttons on the top presentation that will navigate to differnt slides.The question i have is for each button I have the behaviors set to show the screen I want and hide all of the other screens.I have to go to each button and do a hide each screen one by one, I have about 40 of them. Is there a easy way to do that in bulk. I.E. If i have button 1 I want it to show only screen 1 and hide screens 2-40. Button 2 will show only screen 2 and hide screens 1, 3-40

ActionScript 3.0 :: Android, Hide Virtual Keyboard But Screen Stays Shrunk?

In my AIR app, when the virtual keyboard shows up the screen height shrinks. The problem I am having is after the virtual keyboard hides, the screen size stays shrunk and you can see a big black gap under the bottom of the app. The only way to adjust it is to rotate to landscape then back to portrait.
 
This seems to be a glitch with the virtual keyboard and programmers shouldn't be responsible for handling the screen size after it hides.

These issues only appear on Safari and Firefox on Mac.I tested with Opera and Chrome and Windows (inc. IE), but they work fine.

I have this class set up as my document class and I pasted it below.It traces out loaded 100% and that everything is loaded so the functions are triggering.

The problem comes when I upload it anywhere, it won't display any of the loading information or the loading bar, it'll just stay a white screen till the title screen pops up.

Professional :: Project Doesn't Work In Full Screen

I´m working on a project for a presentation, but there is a weird bug...When I test the project in Flash, it works properly, but when I open the .exe or .swf file in my pc, it apparently does not work.The proyect is set to be in full screen, but while testing the .exe, if I press (ESC) to leave full screen mode, then it works perfect!
 
I need my proyect to be full screen, so removing that feature is not an option.The bug makes my proyect to stop in a frame, but if I press ESC, I can see that the project never stoped, and it's in the frame that it should be.I uploaded my proyect so you can download it if you want and help me. I have a small problem with a preloader in Flash MX. It seems to become stuck at "frame 0" instead of showing the preload bar, etc...and I didn't know there was a "frame 0"? When I test it with "show streaming", the screen is blank and the preloader doesn't show, then, when the movie is done loading, the preloader flashes up briefly. I have 2 frames on my main timeline. Frame 1 is the preloader, and frame 2 contains a clip which constitutes the main movie. Frame 2 has stop() and both are labelled correctly i.e. when the movie is finished loading gotoAndPlay("movie") (frame 2) is executed.

screen2 is the movieclip within screen1. They are movieclips and textfield1 is the textfield

I tested like

Then I can see the result of trace which have the text I wrote, but I cannot see anything on the screen.

why it is like this and how to modify then ?

I am developping a as3 project for a kiosk that should run in full screen mode.I am using eclipse for the programming and Flash CS4 to prepare all the swf library assets.Once I publish the swf, I open it in the flash player and export the file as a projector file.

When I open the projector file it doesn't go full screen automatically.
 
Where can I set the project to go full screen?In the code?Or is there a preference setting for the projector file?Or another way to publish the projector file that will allow me to set the full screen mode?I remember using fscommand in as2 but that doesn't seem to work anymore.

I'm working on a video player with full screen capabilities. I have the control bar set to tween in and out of the video screen with a mouse event. I'm also trying to position the control bar at the bottom of the screen when it's in full screen mode. My problem is that the control bar doesn't reposition when in full screen because of the tween functions. I'm thinking that whatever solution comes up that I might go in the if statement of the full screen code.

I've searched for almost a whole week to get this thing converted,I found a great tutorial for a scrollbar that was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something that didn't have up or down buttons, had a thin line for the track, and a circular dragger. However, it was written in AS2. I've tried to convert it myself, but I'm a complete beginner, and I know nothing about AS3 code, or AS2 for that matter. trying to create a character selection screen type thing works fine on my computer but when i load it to internet characters dont load up dont understand why characters and profile images are external image files so i think that reason why its not working is because the swf is trying to display the image before its properly loaded up

so im thinking perhaps if i add some sort of bytes total/bytes loaded script where its trying to load up and display the image it will check if the image is fully loaded before it tries to display the image think that will work ... if that's what the issue is
but not certain.

If I add Mouse.hide() to a preexisting script, I get the following error; line1 1061: Call to a possibly undefined method hide through a reference with static type Class. If I add Mouse.hide():void; to a preexisting script, I get the following error: line1 Label must be a simple identifier Once this has happened, if I then remove ALL lines of script from the file...but leave the Mouse.hide(); [or Mouse.hide():void;], and also remove all objects from the stage, when I run the file, I still get those same errors.

I have the following code which simply loads an external swf, puts it in the right place and should all be hunky dory.This works:

to set the dimensions of the loader so the external swf doesn't 'spill over', the result is a blank screen. No matter how high I set those dimensions it just doesn't display anything.

I have implemented an Augmented Reality application on Adobe Air for Android. When I publish my app on the android mobile phone (Nexus One) the 3D models that I have created don't appear on the screen.On flash CS5 it is working fine.I have used Away3DLite engine and I have imported a 3D collada object.I have also tried to publish some projects that I found online and I checked if the the 3D model appears on the screen but it doesn't show it either. how the 3D Models that I have imported in my project using Away3DLite can be visible when I publish the application on the android phone. Some extra stuff be usefull: I'm using GPU rendering.A also using a combination of the following softwares in order to create my AR application:

FLARToolkit
FLARManager
Away3DLite

I have created one 3D Model on 3DS MAX and another one on Maya 2010.

Buffer Slower Than Movie?

I have employed two different methods to embed an flv movie in webpage, but both result in studdering because the movie catches up to the buffer.   I can't figure out what is wrong... is the frame of 30fps rate too high?  is my method of embedding the files and playback wrong?  Or is it just a function of the viewer's internet speed?

Remove Any Buffer On Video?

I'm trying to figure out how to REMOVE any buffer on video. So imagine it like this. You have a live stream set up on a server, and a flash app plays that live stream. I need it to use rtsp as well.does anyone know how this is done in flash? or a way in flash to view/show live feeds?

Similar to using VLC Player, and upening up a rtsp feed, it plays in the player. I need that exactly, or very close to using flash.
