Anti-aliasing Of Images In Rotated Dynamically Loaded HTML?

May 25, 2009

I have some nasty issue. I need to display dynamically loaded HTML document with images but my designer wants the document to be presented in angular (slopy) manner rather than simply vertically placed on stage. HTML document is loaded inside a .htmlText property of a textField.

While the texts itself renders perfectly with embedded fonts and "AntiAlias for readability" I have a huge problem with images inside  HTML. For whatever reason they look nasty aliased - complete disaster:

Is there any way to get better quality in this case?

ActionScript 3.0 :: Bad Quality Dynamically Loaded Images In HTML TextField

Nov 11, 2008

I have images being dynamically loaded into a html textfield and they look very pixelated. I am able to getImageReference via an id attribute in the <img> tag, but I can't apply smoothing to this DisplayObject because I can't access it's content which is the bitmap. I know the image is loading and I know the reference is working because I can call the id name, I can scale, rotate change the alpha and apply filters. I have tried setting the stage quality to best, but that doesn't make a difference. If I do an addChild(loadedObject) as a test, the image is loaded (not in the text field) and looks beautiful no pixelation at all.

Here is the error I am getting:
1119: Access of possibly undefined property content through a reference with static type flash.display: DisplayObject.

Here is the code:
ActionScript Code:
var loadedObject:DisplayObject = testText_4.getImageReference('image_mc');
var myBitmapData:BitmapData = Bitmap(loadedObject.content).bitmapData.clone();

Html :: Create A Page Which Contain A Flash Can Be Add Text Dynamically

Mar 4, 2011

I have to create a web page which can be set to full screen(I mean the real full screen,not like press the F11),in the full screen there should be some words displaying.

Take the [URL]

Normally,it show its contents(the questions),but someday,maybe a VIP come to visit the page,so we want to replace the whole page with a welcome screen.

Of course we can replace the [URL] (suppose it is the index page) with the welcome text(welcome xxx to our site...) in the server side.

However this is not convenient,and the text can not be full screened.

So I thought the flash,I can add a controller button at the page,when required,I click this button,and set the welcome words,then a flash will start to play with the sepcified words in a full screen model. It would be better if the flash can show the text with a Animation.

I have never did the flash development,so I want to know if this is possible?

BTW,can all the clients change to flash with juse one click?

I mean I click the controller button,then all the client who is visit this page should see the contents replaced by the flash at the same time.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Separating Dynamically Loaded Text Possible?

May 7, 2003

Is it possible to call different data from a same text file? In the tutorial about the dynamically loaded text, the example was "kirupatext=" and the text was loaded from after that in the txt file. Is it possible to make it stop loading after a certain point?

For example,
" kirupatext=
Hello There!
I am an example of text that has been loaded from a separate location on kirupa's server. Best of all, notice that you can scroll the contents of the text up and down by clicking on the arrows. This is a nice, useful feature that you can use on your site."

How can I make it load only up to "Best of all"? Is it possible to break up the text into 2 parts so that they are loaded by different text boxes? i tried adding another marker like "kirupatext2=" at another point, but it just gets loaded along with the first "kirupatext=".

I've searched all over for a solution but as I said my understanding of action script is fairly limited.

ActionScript 2.0 :: Dynamically Change Whether Textboxes Render Text As Html?

Dec 28, 2005

I'm working on an interface with an option to enter html code, and then click a button to render what's in the text box as html, and if needed convert it back to plain text to edit the html code again.I know you can change whether text boxes render their contents as html using text.html = true/false but it doesn't do it if the text box contains anything and setting the contents to "" before changing it doesn't seem to work either. Does this make any sense? If so does anyone know how I can do it?

I have a set-up a movie to dynamically load text from a text file. Now I realize that I want to attach live links to some of the urls in the text file. My question is can you attach the links in a text file by putting html tags in there or is it better to turn the text file into an XML file with the tags in there?Also can you attach CSS styles to that text file.. for instance in addition to adding links to the text I would also like to change the color of the text.

//creating the loadVarsText function
loadText.onLoad = function() {
scroller.text = this.newstext;

I followed this tutorial [URL] but I need to be able to make links within this text. I'd like to be able to add other HTML code to the text (bold, underline, etc.) but just being able to make hyperlinks from the .txt file would be great.
