MP3 File Loaded Dynamically In Swf Embedded In Html Does Not Play In Firefox
Nov 23, 2009
I have made a presentation with voice over, in which the images and audio files are loaded externelly from the folder where the swf was placed. the voice over files are in MP3 format, loaded with the script follows
mysound = new Sound();
mysound.loadSound("voice1.mp3");
mysound.start(0,0);

I'm just wondering why my swf files won't play when I upload them along with my HTML file to the server.
The problem can be seen at the following [url]... Can't get my embedded swf files to play in HTML file
I inserted the swf in 'insert media' - 'shockwave' and the thing works when I press play to view it within dreamweaver. However, when I try to view it on a browser, either locally or remotely, it doesn't work.
I am using swfin to embed a swf object (video player) and it loads fine in all browsers, but in firefox it won't "start".I have to right click on the movie area and "start" is unchecked so I click on "start" and it will start just fine. Yet, in chrome and IE (haven't moved to a mac for testing yet) it fires up and starts just as I expected. I have tried swfobject instead of swfin and I have IE issues that I couldn't seem to correct. Hence moving to swfin.Here is the swfin code: ` var s = new swfIN("/Flash/video_player_playhead_overlays.swf", "flashMovie", "427", "280"); // s.hideSEO("div_seo"); s.addVar("video_file", "/DownloadableWork/Boardwalk.flv");[code]....
i have a text box in flash which has text loaded dynamically from a .txt file. and its html enabled.. the text file has a variable name. notes but it doesnt have an instant name.... the problem i have is. that when i snap a flash mx scroll bar component. it gives it an instant name but the scroll bar doesnt work.
I have made a html file in which a swf is embedded with swf object. this swf contain dynamically loaded audio files. It works fine in offline but when it is uploaded it does not show the movie(swf is not playing) I see only empty space. i thought that it may take time to load, but even after waiting for long time the swf did not play and it shows blank white space. Why?..........following is the code[code].....
swf that is at 30fps. So by default, it plays at 30fps. Is there any way using code I can slow down this subswf to play at 12fps...and not automatically go to the default of the root swf's fps?
On the homepage [URL] I had a previously installed .swf that works fine on IE, Firefox etc...I added a new .swf "testimonials" on the page on right hand side but it will only work in IE?
The player is meant to retrieve the mp3 file from the server through the path address that is stored in MySQL. It does this in Explorer but not in Firefox. By the way the swf file of the player and the database is stored on the same server so there should be no problem with that.
This code works perfect when testing, and it works perfect viewing the SWF, but when you view the HTML file with the SWF embedded, it doesn't display the text file content.
i have created a photo gallery using AS3 in Flash CS5. I have used prevFrame() and nextFrame() actions for "previous photo" and "next photo" buttons as well as for "previous thumbnails" and "next thumbnails" buttons.
All the buttons work fine when i run the swf files as well as when i run the swf files in Firefox 8.0 and IE9. However, once I insert this swf file into my html file using Dreamweaver CS5->Insert->Media->swf, the "previous" buttons dont work in Firefox 8.0! the previous image button works sometimes whereas the previous thumbnails button does not work at all They work fine in IE9. The next buttons also work fine in every browser. Heres my code:
I have embedded an automatic slideshow as a swf file into a website I'm designing for my parents. When I test the swf file, it performs exactly as expected but when I embed it into the html, it just sits there and doesn't run/animate/whatever.
The slideshow (should) automatically run through a group of 7 photos, with a fade transition and was all done with actionscript, loading the external jpeg files into alternate movieclip containers etc etc.
The web page where it doesn't work is here: [URL] - you can see that the swf just sits there, doing absolutely nothing.
The location of the swf file is: [URL] - as you can see, it works fine on its own!!
Situation: Got a flash object with an icon bar (div with pngs) on top of it. Works on all browsers except Firefox 3.6 on Ubuntu 8. Example: http://ListAndPlay.com
Problem: Icons suddenly disappear after the flash is being loaded. See this screenshot: http:[url]...What I've tried: Setting z-index, recoding the JQuery behind it, nothing works.

Right now it is making the space behind the .swf file clickable for the link, but the Flash element is not clickable.
If the right thing to do is to edit the .swf file somehow, I don't consider myself a Flash developer, but are there any resources on where to get started or how to do something this basic with an existing .swf file?
I have a Flash site that has two separate areas of navigation: "root.swf" is the main file and by default loads "welcome.swf". If you click on one of three other links in "root", it takes you to one of those three pages.
I need to have various .flv files play individually on command from the timeline (when separate buttons are clicked), but I need those to load externally but appear as though they are a part of "welcome.swf". [code]...
I keep on running into weird formatting problems when working with external text files loaded in dynamic text boxes. the latest is with the attached txt file. It stops displaying the text right before the first href HTML tag...
I have a movie, called box.swf that I'm loading into controller.swf.I have two buttons on the stage called pause_btn and play_btn that I'd like to use to control the timeline of box.swf.[code]
I have a dynamically loaded movieclip. Inside of that, I have a movieclip (with a menu in it) that I want to play when the user clicks a button. I can't seem to get it to work.
I have been searching the web and all of the codes I have found are to play external swf files that have a timeline. The file that I am trying to load does not have a timeline. I am using the Flixel framework for this project and the file that I want to play is also made in Flixel(don't have the source file just the swf file).Most of the code I have is from a cutscene template that I found on the Flixel forum. Here is what I have so far:
When I run this I get this error: Type Coercion failed: cannot convert SponsorsState_SwfClass@fb5161 to flash.display.MovieClip., all I want to do is play the swf file for a set frame count then move onto the next state.
I need to load contents of an external html document through AJAX. The problem is the external page has some Flash application embedded. Now I need to show this html with the embedded flash in my own webpage.
I have some nasty issue. I need to display dynamically loaded HTML document with images but my designer wants the document to be presented in angular (slopy) manner rather than simply vertically placed on stage. HTML document is loaded inside a .htmlText property of a textField.
While the texts itself renders perfectly with embedded fonts and "AntiAlias for readability" I have a huge problem with images inside HTML. For whatever reason they look nasty aliased - complete disaster:
Is there any way to get better quality in this case?
I have images being dynamically loaded into a html textfield and they look very pixelated. I am able to getImageReference via an id attribute in the <img> tag, but I can't apply smoothing to this DisplayObject because I can't access it's content which is the bitmap. I know the image is loading and I know the reference is working because I can call the id name, I can scale, rotate change the alpha and apply filters. I have tried setting the stage quality to best, but that doesn't make a difference. If I do an addChild(loadedObject) as a test, the image is loaded (not in the text field) and looks beautiful no pixelation at all.
Here is the error I am getting: 1119: Access of possibly undefined property content through a reference with static type flash.display: DisplayObject.
Here is the code: ActionScript Code: var loadedObject:DisplayObject = testText_4.getImageReference('image_mc'); var myBitmapData:BitmapData = Bitmap(loadedObject.content).bitmapData.clone();
I have loaded a HTML file dynamically into Flash. As you know, if I have a link like <a href="URL">TEXT</a> when the users click TEXT the broswer will load URL on the same window. However, what do I do so that the URL can be opened on a new window. This problem only occurs in firefox...
I used Dreamweaver to embed my flash file into an html file, using "Insert-->Media-->Flash".When I preview the file, everything works fine, but when I upload the file to the web, the external links to my blog and e-mail will not work. Before, I just had the flash file up, with no html, and it worked fine.Url...
I got my HTML embedded in my flash file, finally!But now I want some parts of the text that is in the HTML file to link to a specific label in flash itself.What variable can I use for this? or even a Href link?
i got a swf, which i've dynamically loaded into an mc called pitch_mc . After loading it want flash to stop the file from automatically playing, then have play and stop buttons that trigger the movie.
I can load movies fine, but i havent used transport buttons yet :S

Looking at the attached file, why does bottomScrollV give me the wrong value when the text is dynamically embedded and correct when manually embedded?
Here's the code: ActionScript Code: var loader:URLLoader = new URLLoader(); loader.addEventListener(Event.COMPLETE, onLoad); loader.load( new URLRequest("info.xml") );
I have a situation where I am loading an SWF (using URL as source) using the SWFLoader component in Flex 4, and now I need to implement Pause/Play and Stop functionality.
