Professional :: Can't Get My Embedded Swf Files To Play In HTML File

I'm just wondering why my swf files won't play when I upload them along with my HTML file to the server.
The problem can be seen at the following [url]... Can't get my embedded swf files to play in HTML file
I inserted the swf in 'insert media' - 'shockwave' and the thing works when I press play to view it within dreamweaver. However, when I try to view it on a browser, either locally or remotely, it doesn't work.

I have a Flash site that has two separate areas of navigation: "root.swf" is the main file and by default loads "welcome.swf". If you click on one of three other links in "root", it takes you to one of those three pages.

I have made a presentation with voice over, in which the images and audio files are loaded externelly from the folder where the swf was placed. the voice over files are in MP3 format, loaded with the script follows
mysound = new Sound();
mysound.loadSound("voice1.mp3");
mysound.start(0,0);
It works well in IE but not in Firefox.

I'm trying to get a .swf (a game, with three total .swf files: main, title, game) onto my site and am having a problem. I understand how to actually do it and make it run (publish as HTML, copy/paste code in Dreamweaver, etc..), but my problem is having multiples .swf files and them not loading. When I embed code for one of the files, the page will play that .swf file and won't load the next .swf file (Main just contains a loader that loads title, Title will load the game .swf when prompted, Game will run). If I just 2x click the .swf files in my folder it will work, as will an .exe, but can I make it so each .swf file will play in HTML?

I am trying to embedded a SWF file into dreamweaver. It plays fine in dreamweaver and when you preview it in Firefox or Safari, But when I upload my HTML files and SWF files it does not play and displays the following message "content on this page requires a newer version of Adobe Flash Player". Using Flash CS4 and having the Flash plug-in ver 10 on my PC, the generated html file will not play the swf in the browser.I noticed that the active-x javascript is now included in the header as well as the javascript portion in the body tag.But it won't play. I get the typical blank window in IE with the "X" in the upper left corner.I don't have this problem with Flash CS3.

I created a flash file that contains a flv file inside. After I published it on my Mac in both html and swf format and it played well. But when I copied all this folder include the swf, html and the source flv to test on a pc it played well but the video part (flv) was blank. So I copied the .fla file to pc and published again, then it works fine (including the flv video part) on both pc and Mac. All the settings were same while publishing.So I wonder what's wrong with publish from Mac side? I work with Mac and so it's very inconvenient to publish my work on PC.

I made a 'movie' in Premiere and exported as FLV., Its suppose to be a banner on the top of a web page. The site was made with Dreamweaver. When played locally, the banner does great. When I put it on the server, thats a different story. I can tell thats something is there because it loads the background color of the flash file but it doesn't play the FLV.

It works fine in offline but when it is uploaded it does not show the movie(swf is not playing) I see only empty space. i thought that it may take time to load, but even after waiting for long time the swf did not play and it shows blank white space. I have got 3 swf files scene1, scene2 and scene3. Out of which scene2 and scene3 are embedded inside html files named scene2.html and scene3.html. I also want to include pre-loader at every intervals between the scenes, since the total file size including images and scripts is around 4mb.

I have a .mov movie that I want to play on my website. In years past, I would use Adobe Video Encoder CS3 (I believe that's what it was called) and would turn the file into a .flv. Then, I believe I would use swfobject and it would display with the typical play and expand to full size buttons as well as the timeline.
I downloaded the latest version of swfobject (2.2) but this only seems to play swf files.

I have embedded an automatic slideshow as a swf file into a website I'm designing for my parents. When I test the swf file, it performs exactly as expected but when I embed it into the html, it just sits there and doesn't run/animate/whatever.
The slideshow (should) automatically run through a group of 7 photos, with a fade transition and was all done with actionscript, loading the external jpeg files into alternate movieclip containers etc etc.
The web page where it doesn't work is here: [URL] - you can see that the swf just sits there, doing absolutely nothing.

So i've made my .swf files. The only thing is they all play at full screen when i play them using my web browser. I need them to play at 548 x 408. when i open the .fla and go to properties it says the size IS at 548 x 410 but it can't be if its playing full screen.

I want to make it so that when I click anywhere on the embedded Flash element, it takes me to a destination URL.
Here is my current code, which does not produce the desired effect:

Right now it is making the space behind the .swf file clickable for the link, but the Flash element is not clickable.
If the right thing to do is to edit the .swf file somehow, I don't consider myself a Flash developer, but are there any resources on where to get started or how to do something this basic with an existing .swf file?

i have a textfield, i embedded fonts and assigned htmlText, i.e.
txt.embedFonts = true;
txt.htmlText = '<b>my text </b>';
but it doesnt aplly html tags because of embedFonts... i tried to make style using css but didnt work is there any way to accomplish this?

Yes, this is a newbie question and I'm a little surprised I can't find any mention of this anywhere. I have a flash banner that replays when my page posts back. I there a trick to this or do I have to resort to something heavy handed, like replacing the flash with the jpg on postback or writing some sort of javascript to check for postpack and setting the play attribute to false.

I took a .flv and placed it in a .swf in Flash Professional CS5 (for smoother playback on my website), and I used Dreamweaver to embed the .swf on one of my webpages. The video plays back fine, but there are no playback controls. In Dreamweaver, I set "PLAY" and "LOOP" to false, so in order to play my video, I have to right-click it and press "Play." That seems odd and possibly confusing/inconvenient for anyone viewing my website (particular potential employers, because this is my online portfolio). how to add playback controls? I don't want to use any external players (like Flowplayer), as I am trying hard to avoid watermarks and having to pay for anything extra.
Interesting note: when I used Dreamweaver to insert the .flv, I had the option to select from a list of playback controls. However, the .flv did not play smoothly on my website, and I found the solution to place the .flv in an .swf for nicer playback.

I have been searching the web and all of the codes I have found are to play external swf files that have a timeline. The file that I am trying to load does not have a timeline. I am using the Flixel framework for this project and the file that I want to play is also made in Flixel(don't have the source file just the swf file).Most of the code I have is from a cutscene template that I found on the Flixel forum. I made a .swf that loads a .xml file from a directory called "xml".That file lists the images that are to be loaded into the .swf.The .swf is embedded into an html file.The issue we are seeing is that if you don't include "www" in the url, the images don't get loaded (??!).But the .swf is running, and all the html and css works.If you use "www" in the url, everything works perfectly.[code]
