I made this small shop that uses Flash to collect data from the user (and what they want to buy) and PHP to mail the data in a confirmation e-mail. it's not working

I'm having a little difficulty with parsing some information from a variable in flash.When a user has completed a form I can get a mailto command to open a mail application and post the answers into an email.I am struggling with posting same information to be handled via a php mail script.Here is the action script code

Iam Jennifer, Iam having a doubt in Flash, I hope that you are going to solve my problem, Iam taking 3 Static text fields as Name, Age and Country and besides each and every static text fields i have taken 3 input text fields with different instance names, when i enter my Name, Age and Country details in the input text fields and after entering those details if user clicks the submit button the data should be send to some mail address, is it possible?

It seems that when I test my PHP mail in flash it works perfectly fine, but when I export it and try it in a browser it doesn't. Whats the deal, is it server-side?
View 7 RepliesI am trying to create a simple form using Actionscript 3 that will collect data from a form, then pass that data to an asp file. I have attached the following code to the submit button,but this is not working.I'm not sure if I have to add anything else and I don't understand why this is not working. I'm trying to load all the variable info into one variable called email form.

Where is it that I have to add the link to have the e-mail work? Is it in the action script or the up over down hit?
View 6 RepliesThis php mail form is not working in the Yahoo Server though otherwise worked in other Server. I talked with one Yahoo Service Representative for my Server and they stated that everything is fine with the Server and that the only issue they can see is you coded the script in PHP 5 because Yahoo only supports version PHP version 4.

i am looking for some kind of library which does CRUD easily using PHP and MYSQL.My goal is to make some app in flash AS3.0 , where i will be receiving some data from user and storing in data base , and perform CRUD opertaions. I dont want to be so much involved in writing php and sl query.My scenario is:

add under data types 1 to many fields with various types..
Database tables and realtions etc should be done by my DREAM library, then user when select a Dtat Type, he is presented with related fields to fill up data.
I will be using Flash AS3.0 ( Builder or IDE ) to perform .If only i can find some php library i think AMFPHP can connect flash with php
I have only two fields Name and Email in a Order form and a PayPal button for payment at PayPal ( into my account).I can do the mail portion but have no idea about PayPal code, however on search here I found one code and after pasting this one to the PayPal button it redirects to my PayPal account.But the question is anybody can post a message and leave the site without paying me. How can I do this thing so that the user will forced to pay before posting the mail form.
View 1 RepliesI want to set up mail in my Flash site. The only thing I can figure out is to have someone fill out a form and click button for it to open in their email browser with forms filled out.
I purchased my site name from GoDaddy and am using a free server to host. GoDaddy provided me with one email address. I would like to send the data to this email account with the click of the button instead of opening someones email browser. An even bigger "dream" would be the ability to attach a file to the email from my form.[code]...
I am just wondering if its at all possible to send e-mails in Flash without using PHP/ASP to achieve this as the application im using does not like loading external files.I have managed to do this but Flash requires the PC in question to have an e-mail client installed on the machine (used the getURL) is there anyways I can cut this out and get Flash to send the e-mail?

All of the variables are set in the flash website, I actually used the one from kirupa's site. It works great and everything comes through in my email.I want to add more than just one $message to the email body. Say I want more of their information to come through.... right now I have (name, email, and message) obviously..
I would like to add "library" and "address" to the body of the email, the variables are allready created in the website. Also can I have something in front of each 'answer', I have seen it in code but I can't seem to get it working for myself. For example my email would come in and in the body would be;
Library: (then what they filled in for their library)
Address: (what they filled in.."
Message: (their message)
This is one way I thought it would work but did not....(without the 'title' infront of each..

I also tried, but did not work..(with titles)

I'm having an issue with Flash CS4 and Actionscript 2.
I've got a contact form on my contact page, with a few text boxes set to input text.
Example:
Text box of type Input Text and name = contactName. Do I need to set the Variable field too?
Here's the Actionscript for the button I have on the form:

Basically, the e-mail that gets sent has 'UNDEFINED' in it instead of the value I enter in the contactName field.
I'm trying to send out flash variables using a GET method however, it's not working as it should.my button code looks like this:

When I declare values on my actions layer, it comes out like this

Real crap, not even PHP, AS, CGI, ... nothing. So now what do I do to create a mail form without PHP, AS, Perl, CGI, ... ? I have no idea at all, all those forms use PHP.
