I'm trying to duplicate this site. I haven't been able to find anything on depth scale, z depth etc. [URL] was wondering figure this out and point me to the right direction or keword or any scripts.
I'm making a flash game and I've come to a halt in my code. This is how the game works: Where ever the mouse is clicked, the player will run towards thats spot. It's on a field. The problem is, I want the player's size to decrease as he gets higher up on the field(as the y gets closer to 0), giving the illusion of depth. But for the life of me I cant get it working! Im quite new to AS3 so im not sure about all it's tricks, but here was my go at it.

When I run the code, my character's size stays the same when I go up and down, but goes all wobbly when i go at angles without any real order. Clearly it's not working.

I am working with the web template located at the following URL: [URL] If you look you will see the "Contacts" page has a form with text (i.e. "Name", "Phone", "E-Mail", etc.) that vanishes when each text box is clicked. After editing the contact information above the form the effect was lost somehow.
I am trying to get a ' Typewritter effect ' on a dynamic text field that imports txt from external txt file. Trying to decipher some code I found in an example that created typewritter effect but text was declared in strings and not reading from external txt file. So I am trying to adapt it some. The effect works but when it runs it only displays my text field instance name and not the actual text from the txt file.

I really like the text effect Pom used in the footer contest, and would like to use the same grid-type method of creating mc letters but with a different effect. i understand how to change the parameters and shapes of the letters, but can't seem to figure out which piece of code is purely for the explosion effect. basically, i want the letters but with the 'Repel' effect from[URL] here is Pom's AS:

It's a bit of decoration to go behind a logo. When the dMove var is commented out I get the appropriate line of squares fading in and out at random spots along the x = 78 axis, but when introduced nothing appears at all...

I want to make a search button on my site. I have a bunch of pdf files in a specific location on my site. I want to create a search field where the end user inputs text into a field and flash locates and opens the corresponding pdf file.

Trying to get a text field in my Flash MX movie to pull from and XML file with CDATA tags to show as HTML. I've checked the box to render as HTML for the text data field... but I'm having problems with the Actionscripting.

I am trying to use the date field component to control another field... I need the user to select a date from the date field componet this date will display in the field and an additional date in another field will then display with 280 days added. This action will also control the timeline by displaying a graphic overlay at the appropriate frame.

You can refer to the attached excel file. my boss wanted me to make a replica of it in flash. the problem is I don't kno how to do it. In the excel file he wanted some cells - in orange - be available for user to input data at same time display the data. I find it difficult to do. I don't know if it is possible to display output in an input field.
I want to be able to make a movie clip (that acts as a button) so the roll over effect finishes before the roll off effect is triggered. Like if a marker circles a button, i want the circling animation to stop before the roll off effects happens. Anyone know how to do this.
i'm workin with some "self created windows" in my flash app. how can i put the window i click on front of the others? I found smth about swapDepth, but there is no swapDepth in as3.
i have this drag and drop thing basically when i drop the item on top of its slot i want it to do a hittest to set the depth to a number assigned to it. so lets say I drag an item called Item to a spot called slot i want it to do like item on hit test to slot set depth(2) lets say.
