ActionScript 2.0 :: Resize Swf Width And Height To The Browser Size?
Dec 14, 2010
I have been trying to resize my swf width and height to the browser size for the past 10 days...this is what I was able to get so far
looked at numerous tutorials online...but no luck with my swf I would like my images to fill the entire browser without the white background on the side and I would like to do it so that my images will not look distorted...
I would like to know how to make flash size (width and height) full size in the browser? the real size of flash is w:955px h:600px I tried to make w:100% and h:100%, it makes pictures pixelate.
I am building a xml driven website in flash an my client want the website should fit the browser of the costumer and when they scale browser the website must adjust accordingly but he also ask me to the website must not be smaller than 850 height and 1000 width, and must not be bigger than 1100 hight and 1440 width. Please help me because i never done such project coz i am fairly new to actionscript and flash design, i am graphics design trun flash developer.
i have different size (wxh) swf files, and i have to load different swf in one SWf file(say name sample.swf) now what my problem is when i load different swf in my sample.swf either it crop disply if bigger swf load or it leave space if it small..
I understand how to resize the stage to 100% x 100%, but it seems exceptionally difficult trying to keep a footer MC/Sprite/Shape 20px high yet 100% wide.
I can use EXACT_FIT, but if the browser shrinks or expands the movie clip changes size. Keeping that height static is a pain at the moment!
So, basically I'm just looking for direction. The liquid layout tutorials seem to work for elements NOT stretched 100%...
I want to set width and height of the stage during resize of that swf..I do it in resize event handling..but doesn't work..any other way to achieve this?[code]
I want the background to resize the width to the stage and height but it stays at 150 x when the stage resize and scale the contents according to the xscale and yscale of the background . http:[url].....
I have the following: var win:Window = new Window(); PopUpManager.addPopUp(win,this,true); PopUpManager.centerPopUp(win); What about if I want the popup window to be stretched and be 80% width and height from the parent? How do I achieve that?
I have code here that allows a user to load an image from their local machine to the SWF (using FileRerence). The movieclip is 500x400 in size and I need the width of the selected image to resize to 500, and crop off any height beyond 400.
I have a video object and would like to size it to the width of my document. In order not to distord it, I would like to size the height in relationship. I can't seem to wrap my head around the math for that. How is that done?
I have a movieclip (containter_mc) , which i then load a .jpg image into with actionscript. but when i try to set the height and width (setProperty(containter_mc,_width,200) it changes the image size, but does not make it to the specified size...
I want to develop a flash website. I have some background images. I want them to be filled the whole screen and also in center while seeing in the browser. I am able to make it into the whole screen. But while resizing the browser it is not holding into the center.
I built out a scrolling Flash application that currently resizes the browser to whatever the full-screen res of the user's monitor is... I'm kind of indifferent about it.Anyhow, I'd like to be able to set the browser size to a specific height / width instead of taking up 100% of the user's screen real-estate.
I have a basic framework for my code, but I am not sure how to just get the icons I have to grow and shrink. Right now I can only get it to snap to +10 width and height.
var grow:Number = 10; var shrink:Number = 10; resiSplash_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, resiClick) resiSplash_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OVE R, resiGrow) resiSplash_mc.addEventListener(MouseEvent.ROLL_OUT , resiShrink) function resiClick(event:MouseEvent):void { [Code] .....
when i create stage and make its width and height in pixels Web Browsers show it with pixels too. so i want to make a stage which width and height would be 100% in web browsers. i just want to place buttons and some stuffs on the top and right of the web browser.
I've been trying to find the answer for about 3 days now.. I'm not even sure if it is possible to do but I've seen a lot of full browser flash's I'm just wondering if its possible to limit it to a certain height but have it go any browser width while keeping the content in the center and not scaling it down to any size..
I have a Fla with many movieclips arranged on it. I've figured out how to reposition them dynamically in AS 2 using a listener (i.e. nav stays at bottom, main content in center regardless of user changing window size, etc.).
Now I want to add another movieclip ("vid_bg" is the instance name) which always resizes to be the width and height of the browser. Think of it as a movieclip background under the other content that stretches to fill the browser.
How to open a browser window at a specified width and height. I want the window to be say 300 x 300. I am using actionscript and this is my code. I am using flash 8. on (press) { getURL("E-Mail List.html","_blank"); This then opens a page in dreamweaver. I suspect I have to use some javascript in the dreamweaver page.
How can I limit the size of a child container with percentage width/height of 100%?
Example:
<mx:HBox id="container" width="100%" height="100%"> <mx:HBox id="scrollContainer" width="100%" height="100%"> <!-- keep this content limited to the size of "container" -->
[Code]....
Apparently I can get the desired behavior if I change HBox to Canvas but I would still like to know how to accomplish this with a HBox and why it differs from Canvas.
I am trying to reference to top level (stage) width and height of the main stage for the placement of something located inside a movieclip on the stage.
My code is: Code: my_loader.x = (stage.stageWidth - my_loader.width)/2; my_loader.y = (stage.stageHeight - my_loader.height)/2;
But this seems to just relate to the width/height of the mc that my_loader is nested in...
