So how can I do this so it gives the pop up window of save to disc option?
This may be an ASP.NET issue too?

Dec 9, 2011I am using alivePDF to generate pdfs from my flex application. When I click on the save pdf button on my flex application, a "save as" window pops up which allows me to browse to the location where I want to save the pdf file. Its the same window that pops up when we try to save any file in notepad, word, etc. I want to programatically close this window if the user is idle for a given amount of time. The code that I am using for saving the pdf is as follows.

May 7, 2011At my college, they have CS4 (master suite) and at home I've got CS5 (design premium). I can save files in CS5 as CS4 so they can be read at college (by Flash) but I have to do it via the "save as" every time I save. After a couple of times, it get rather irritating. Is it possible for me to save in the usual way (as if it was a CS5 document) without the save as dialog every time I save my work?

Nov 9, 2010I am trying to save the text in the chat window from sky poker. A standard select all and copy then paste will only extract the text visible at the time. It is not possible to scroll and select all the text.It is possible to view all the chat box text that has taken place while you have the window open.I guess that what is happening is you are simply viewing what exists on the chat log of the server via the poker window.What I would like to do is either:
i) get the chat text (I expect this is only possible if it is saved on my pc)
ii) harvest the text as it happens.

Dec 11, 2009step1- I got an xml that is locally loaded(works fine)
step2- the content goes into a datagrid that is displayed (works fine)
step3- In AS3 I dynamically add some lines to this xml file(works fine)
step4- I save it locally (works fine)
step5-and want the datagrid to be updated..(works not-so-well)
So, in step 4, the data is saved into the xml file, but in order to finish the save, the user has to click on the "Save as" windows in order to have the file updated of course.. and that's where's my problem, how can i tell flash to wait till the user actually saves the file, before reload the xml file in the datagrid ? here's the code :

another thing: When im doing a video and work with things that are outside of my white document (in the gray area) for instance things that are to be faded into the document and so on. These things also show up in outside of my video when i view it in my browser.

Problem:When saving the file, the "Save As Filetype" drop down is empty and end users can accidentally delete the swf file extension in the filename.How can we lock down the extension so it will always have SWF in the extension?
Technique 1? Set "Save As Filetype" to SWF by default.
Technique 2? Click "Publish as Flash". User specifies the filename. File is saved on the server. User presented with prompt to download file. File is downloaded from the server using the traditional browser windows explorer dialog box (the same dialog box if I downloaded a program from cnet's downloads.com)
