I have followed a tutorial to built a simple music player with play stop and mute buttons and only one track loaded. And it's working fine when i try the site on my computer, but when i upload the flash site on altervista and test it online the track file isn't loading

Oct 19, 2009I threw together a fla to spike some code. At some point, it's lost it's fidelity. It was telling me I couldn't debug the file because it didn't contain AS3. It did.Then, I found that there was an extra dot in my code, which was not caught during auto-format or syntax checking.I removed the extra dot, and then I started to notice bugs. I got runtime errors that a var was 21, when it is clearly set to 22. I also changed the datatype of a Vector to an Array and all of a sudden the compiler acts as if the array doesn't exist.Like I said, I was just spiking some code, and could have made some errors in there somewhere, but this is getting out of hand.[Update: I can't upload an FLA to the official Flash support site.

Jan 15, 2012getting this here Flash website to work. It is an .swf that has four different buttons in it. Each different button uploads a different video thumbnail with a play-button over it. When you click on that thumbnail with the play-button over it, it goes to the thumbnailed video which automatically plays. Here is the link:

There are no bells and whistles with the html, it's just tagged and uploaded with the Fullscreen-true so that you can make the video go full-screen.
But see, when I upload the thing, the buttons no longer navigate to the different videos unless the play-button over the thumbnail is already pressed and its video is already playing. I need them to work anyways.

Sep 9, 2009Okay, so I am calling my scripts from the folder "php/" Thus, my FileReference calls "php/upload.php" to upload. However, my uploads are in "uploads/" and not in "php/uploads". When the PHP script is called, it apparently ignores the caller (the SWF file) and looks for uploads in its own directory (the "php/" folder). It may be a PHP question, but how do I reference the uploads folder as being in the parent directory of the php files in my PHP script?

....can get out of synch. It doesn't cause me any real problems but is this bad form? Or am I better to upload one file the wait for the PHP to return success before uploading the next one?
Published Files Work On Local Site But Not On Remote Site?
Nov 4, 2009the flash4 published set of files, with a variety of skins tried, works well on the local drive, even when moved to a different folder structure. when index.html is opened on the remote web site, the browser (firefox3 and ie7) displays the player conrols and a rotating horizontal barber pole, green and black, but no flash video.some of the skins i've used are: SkinOverPlaySeekFullscreen.swf, nOverPlayStopSeekCaptionVol.swf and SkinUnderPlay.swf. all work locally but do not play the .flv file on the web site. no problem playing flv movies on the remote web site if the file set is created by dreamweaver.

Aug 31, 2010my listener.onComplete = function(selectedFile:FileReference) is fired without any file in the upload dir. if the file is small and I wait a bit I can see the file (through FTP) coming up on the server, but most of the times the "onComplete" if fired without any file being saved.

Jul 14, 2010I have an app that uploads pictures to the server. When I upgraded Firefox 3.6.6 FP to flash player 10.1 the uploaded stopped working. It still works perfect in other browsers. It works fine in Firefox 3.6.6 but different Flash player version. I did some debugging and noticed that it works fine when I run it in my development environment (Localhost). In the production server it returns I/o Exception but it doesnt make sense because it works for other players and also the file is there. I changed the permissions on the file to 777, the allowScriptAccess to always, tried to make the php path absolute also and no luck. The php file does not use sessions or cookies.
