ActionScript 3.0 :: Creating And Uploading Email Attachments?

In the past I have created a flash contact form online which used PHP to send emails which worked perfectly.My new project wants to be able to upload a file (PDF only) and then use PHP to email it to me as an attchment. I cannot do this yet but there seems to be enough resources online to figure it out.
My main question is that along with the attchment, I'd like flash to generate anothger attachment which would contain information the user had entered (many fileds including address and file info etc) - possibly in XML. When I get this attchment, I would like somehow to use a different flash program locally to import this xml file to its own database.
Is there a smart way of doing this other than manually dragging the xml file from the email into a folder and then locating it through flash to import it? Maybe running a BAT dos program to move/copy/launch things?

Something conflicting with Adobe Flash that won't allow email attachments in gmail I have been speaking with senior techs in the google forum, and they suggested I post here. There is something about my computer settings or security software is conflicting with Adobe Flash. I did a clean install of both Flash 10 and Firefox 3.5.7 (I uninstalled the previous versions). The problem is with gmail. I get the error message when attaching files: "Attachment failed. This may be due to a proxy or firewall."

Im trying to create a button which will have a link to download a pdf to the users desktop - Im a new user, so I have picked up this code:
on(release){
getURL("LODGE INVITE PAGE 2.pdf", "_blank");
}
which doesn't work! I just put this in on assuming that flash would pick up the pdf on my desktop but it cannot open the pdf when you click on the link.

Trying to create a email form and link it to a php file; however when I test it, I click send and it does not send. Here is the action script that I added to the send button:

I went through the tutorial on creating the email form with php. I followed it and made my own movie, uploaded it to my webserver and tried it. I havent recieved and emails. Then I downloaded his source file and changed the email address in the php and uploaded it and Its still not working.

I'm working in AS 2.0, Flash CS3. I want to make a contact form that allows a user to select the appropriate e-mail address from a combo box. I have made a working contact form that send to one e-mail address using PHP.

I have created an empty movieclip to which I've attached two mc's. Now I want to duplicate this movieclip. But all it seems to be doing is copying the empty mc without its attached mc's.

I am creating an order form for my flash site. I have never done this before in flash but I have in visual basic. I have a few questions:
1. Is assigning variable names to checkboxes and radio buttons the same as in visual basic? I mean i know that you probably assign them in the properties. ex..say i name a radio button 'radio1', to run a check in my actionscript whether radio1 was checked or not would it be something like if(radio1){}
2. After the person fills out the form I would like to have the results of the order sent to a pre-specified email adress in a certain format. What would be a good way to do this?

I don't know if this is too much to ask but could someone give me a quick overview on how to create an email form that actually sends the information to my email? I have the form created, and I'll post the .fla file (I allow a laugh at my elementary flash movie. This is just a final project for an intro to flash class), and I understand I'll need the .asp file from GoDaddy setup on my hosted space.

I have used the kirupa tutorial on a flash email form and it works GREAT! The only thing is I want to have required fields that need to be entered in for the form to send. If the user doesn't enter anything, it will ask them to in order to send the email.how I can do this or adapt it to the kirupa tutorial code?

I've created a form in flash to for customers to send email from the website. I'm using action script 3 - (mailto: ) There are two problems.
1) It doesn't send. A blank email form comes up that the user has to fill out - doesn't work with their email client.
2) How can I get it to validate?

here is the issue I am having: I have a button in my main movie and after it is pressed i want for it to open a pop up window right next to this button with some information in it. I'll make it short: is it possible to get the user's facebook email adress (or a hashed email adress), so I can let's say compare his facebook email with his email in my database? I'm trying to get a FacebookUser and then use facebookUser.email_hash but that returns nothing.

I'm currently using Macromedia Flash 8. I'm doing up a website purely on Flash, in of the page it involves a "Contact Us" where there is a Form. I built an application in AS3 a while back that allowed users to select 1 or more files and upload them to a server (not using AMFPHP at the time). That works fine.
I am building a new application that is using AMFPHP and am wondering how I could upload files using it? Any example classes out there?
