ActionScript 3.0 :: Error #2112: Provided Parameter LoaderContext.ApplicationDomain Is From A Disallowed Domain
Sep 29, 2010
So with the help of others, I figured out the runtime font loading issue, and all was working great.Until we moved to the live environment, where apparently Flash is freaking out if I load my swfs from [URL]..
Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this? Here's the error:
Code:SecurityError: Error #2112: Provided parameter LoaderContext.ApplicationDomain is from a disallowed domain. In short, here's the structure. A Wrapper swf is embedded on a page.The Wrapper loads a child Player swf into a separate Application Domain, and then calls a public init() function in the Player to get things rolling, passing into the Player swf a reference to that newly-created ApplicationDomain the player was loaded into.At some point the Player decides whether or not it needs to load an external font Library swf for embedding subtitle fonts. It loads the font(s) as needed into the same ApplicationDomain that was passed into it (should be the same one it was loaded in itself, no?).
Once again, I've tried all sorts of combinations of code changes, but nothing seems to be fixing it. It all comes down to whether or not the original Wrapper swf is embedded via "www.domain.com" or "domain.com".
FYI, I have a crossdomain.xml file set up allowing both combinations of the domain name, and in each loaded swf (the Player and the font Libraries) I have a Security.allowDomain(); set with both combinations of the domain name as well. I resolved a similar security error similarly (a different externally-loaded swf), but that doesn't seem to be working for this.
I have developed a player in AS3. It is working if i provide the IP of the website. But, it is not working when i provide the full domain name. Even, i provide the crossdomain.xml for global access.
I am trying to emulate (in a limited way) the behavior of JavaScript's XMLHttpRequest object through Flash/ActionScript 3, in order to overcome the same-domain limitation. But I'm discovering that ActionScript has its own limitations in that regard. I admit that I might be mistaken, but from what I understand it is theoretically still possible to do this sort of cross-domain scripting using ActionScript, so long as you get all the permissions right. And that's where I'm running into trouble.
First, I borrowed some open-source code for a class called AjaxRequest, which I have saved as /ajax/AjaxRequest.as. I then created a Flash file called /jsajax.fla which exports to the final SWF file, /jsajax.swf. Now, here's the ActionScript code that comprises the first and only frame of the Flash file:
This is the only case I could not get working, and this is the case I need to get working. The first two were really just test scenarios to see if the script was working at all. When I try to run my jsAjax function here, I wind up with an error that shows up twice in Firebug:
uncaught exception: Error calling method on NPObject! [plugin exception: Error in Actionscript. Use a try/catch block to find error.]. uncaught exception: Error calling method on NPObject! [plugin exception: Error in Actionscript. Use a try/catch block to find error.].
Code is working but i am getting the following error and it is driving me insane:
TypeError: Error #2007: Parameter hitTestObject must be non-null. at flash.display:isplayObject/_hitTest() at flash.display:isplayObject/hitTestObject() at PlatformGame/checkCollisions() at PlatformGame/gameLoop()
Here is my Frankenstein code...i just need it working. Error happens when I remove the numOfKeys-- where I examine the level. Had to remove some code because of length when posting here on FK.
I'm trying to load an AS2 swf into an AS3 and pass it a flashVar, here is my code:
ActionScript Code: var myLoader:Loader = new Loader() var _request:URLRequest = new URLRequest("loader.swf"); var context:LoaderContext = new LoaderContext();
[Code].....
But I get the error which is the title of the thread. I found two different pages from adobe on the LoaderContext class, one lists paramaters as a public property and one does not, I can't for the life of me tho figure out what's the difference or how I can use the class which allows me to use paramaters.
I have a question about a TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed: error. I'm loading a SWF into my application into a child domain of the parent SWF. I thought this was supposed to allow the 2 SWF's to share the class definitions?[code]...
I'm fine as long as I don't create the child domain, or what I think is the child domain. It's obviously the same class definition just with the "@23dr3" after it. I can load correctly if I set the context to the current domain or don't specify it at all.
This is my first entry in this forum but I already found a lot of answers by browsing it.However, altough many references seem to solve the problem I'm hurting on, it doesn't seem to work for me...Now, here's the case:I made a flash web site that will be hosted on an external web server (let's call it serverMy flash needs to get some info from my internal server don't have access to the root, only to the folder «myfolder» so my website reads like this
I'm trying a simple tutorial of retrieving RSS feeds from yahoo and keep getting this error: RPC Fault faultString="Security error accessing url" faultCode="Channel.Security.Error" faultDetail="Destination: DefaultHTTP" I've seen some articles that say I need a crossdomain.xml file, but I don't really know how to set this file up and how to use it from the Flex SDK compiler (mxmlc).
I have a SWF file which is on suppose [URL] and I have an cross domain file
[Code]...
I dont know that happend. When I user Firebug, the swf is looking for [URL] it is present there. But [URL] is not there(I can't put any corssdomain file there, because I dont have any access). The issue is image from (SESSION 1) is resizing and image from (SESSION 2) is not resizing on the COMPLETE Event.
PLAYER.SWF -- contains flv player and controls. cross-domain-policy.xml -- that allows everything. www.yoursite.com[code].....
If I have all the files on the same domain, everything works. The swf is designed to look for the prefs.xml file at whatever location where the html page is. I can have the swf in a location like[url]... and have everything else in some other funky location on that domain. If I try to have the html page and prefs and stuff on another domain, it can't read from the prefs.xml, and I get the Error #2048. From my research, this is a cross-domain issue, but I have cross-domain policies all over the place and it's still doing it.
I'd never used FileReference on a domain protected by htaccess and htpasswd. I'm getting I/O and Stream errors when my SWF is hitting those PHP scripts. I know I can host the PHP on an unprotected domain, but I'd prefer not to do that.

We have a Flash application that is running within an HTML file.For one page we call a legacy reporting system in ASP.NET that is within an IFRAME. This page then communicates back to the Flash application using cross-domain scripting (document.domain = "domain" is set in both pages. Now the kicker. Flash has history tracking enabled.This loads the history.js file that created a div tag to store page changes so the back and forward buttons work in the browser.Which works for Firefox and Chrome as they create a div tag.In Internet Explorer, history.js creates another IFRAME (instead of a DIV) called ie_historyFrame.When the ScriptResource.axd code attempts to access this with:[code]At my wit's end on this one.We have users who need to use IE to access this site. They are big clients who we cannot tell to just use Firefox.
post the code for a working cross-domain securityfile that allows access only from the same domain as all the flashfiles and xml files are in?used to be easy in as2 but i think i dont know what i need to know about it in as3..
My application currently contains a number of Widgets that are managed by a Widget Manager. When the user clicks on a widget (e.g. a Helper widget), the Widget Manager loads the widget into a separate sibling application domain with the following line of code:
However, I am unable to use the widget's variables and functions later on. I attempt to find the Helper widget from the Widget Manager's list of widgets, and I do successfully. But when I try to caste the Helper Widget from type IBaseWidget (the interface all widgets share) to type HelperWidget, I receive the following error:
TypeError: Error #1034: Type Coercion failed.....
This is because the application domain of the class trying to use the Helper widget is different from the application domain of the Helper Widget. I tried to fix this by loading all widgets into the same application domain as the loader:
We are running FMS3 on Windows 2003 Server. Videos stream and play fine when inside our domain, but outside the domain the videos take anywhere from 20 or more seconds before playing.
After analizing the connections it was determined that the player is randomly trying to access ports until it gets to the one that works, but this is ONLY happening from people trying to view videos from outside our domain.
I have moved a web application from old domain to new domain. I cannot get Flash to engage. I have changed the domain in flash_images.php file to the new domain. I have a flash_box.swf file and I have a js file these are the only flash components that I see--old domain is e.g. www.example.com new domain is [URL]..I am not a flash developer, how do I get flash to work on the new domain?
I am building a shoppin cart in flash and I am having a problem getting the purchase items list to work. Each item which gets added to the cart gets put into a movie clip and added into a purchased items moveClip which is on the stage. Each child item has a remove button attached to it. So if the user wants to remove the item they can. The problem is when I remove some of the items on the list I get a "Error: Parameter child must be non-null." Here is the code aswell:
//The cart_array is where I want to store incoming items in. var cart_array:Array = new Array();
//The items_array is where I want to store the "purchased_mc" MovieClips inside once they have been put on the stage. var items_array:Array;[code]...........
I am working as a teacher in Singapore and I am currently doing a project for our school. I am using the Adobe CS4 Design Premium. I am using Adobe Flash CS4 for the project I am doing. Adobe Flash CS4 crash often and after the latest crash and when I open up my project i got an error which is "parameter is incorrect" and when I press ctrl+enter, it didn't pulish the file and I have noticed that the swf file that was created before is gone after I press CTRL+enter.
I am trying to lay some items out on the stage using a timerEvent, out side of the "timerHandler" function the items lay out just fine. My question is...why am i getting this error when running the timer and the function. The code is below...
ActionScript Code: // dragDropItemNum = xmlData.dd_setup.dragItems.dragItem.length(); var tmr:Timer = new Timer(1000,dragDropItemNum);
I created some game and would like to let the users play it only on my domain, so to forbid to play it offline or put on some other site. Is there a way to do it? Somehow check domain or so?
This error comes up every single time I try to run a simple AS3 tutorial flash file on my website..Things I did:-server php support check was run. (success!)-using html to call php for a simple registration form.(success!)-ANY flash file to do a two way communication with a php file ( FAILS!)I tried maybe 10 different swf files and php files that go with them.
We are getting ready to start trying to convert our older content to AS3.To this end, I have been trying to develop what I though would be a relatively simple. It just an attempt at an adaptable mc button class that my animators and designers can kind of "plug and play" so I can spread out some of the workload.I keep getting "Error 2007 Parameter listener must be non-null". I understand why its throwing an error. simplified block:
i have the following script , and its giving me this error...this occured after i wrote the last line... which will unload the about section if home is pressed...
var imageRequest:URLRequest = new URLRequest("home.swf");var imageLoader:Loader = new Loader();imageLoader.load(imageRequest);addChild(imageLoader); imageLoader.x = 0;imageLoader.y = 140;
The slideshow its referring to is a something I purchased online and is embedded into my movie.Does it mean I need to put and onComplete function on the page thats loading this? Is it for the xml or the slideshow movie?
Error #2007: Parameter listener must be non-null. at flash.events::EventDispatcher/addEventListener() at slideshow_fla::TheWholeSlideshow_1/xmlLoaded() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete()
I'll try to be as thorough as possible so there isn't any question as to what is going on or what it is I'm trying to acheive. I've been asked to build a digital catalog for my company's products in Flash.The program is simply an organized way to view files that will be contained with in the same folder as the swf file. The program consists of one scene with five buttons that control the timeline, and each different part of the timeline has a movieclip containing the buttons that open the different files. There are only two of these types of buttons: one is bu_video and the other is bu_brochure. They both have several button instances differentiating between different products. For example: Product A has two buttons: bu_video (instance name videoA) and bu_brochure (instance name brochureA). Here is the code I'm using to get the desired effect.
