I'm currently writing a client in ActionScript 3 that talks to a Red5 application/media server via a NetConnection object. The server sends the client multiple types of data over this connection including video, audio and remote procedure calls. After an indeterminate amount of time (sometimes 10 seconds, sometimes 10 minutes) I see the following error in a popup window from my Debug version of the Flash client:"Error: Error #2030: End of file was encountered."
I'm in the process of trying to figure out what's causing this error and the thing that's really driving me nuts is that I can't seem to catch it. I realize that the error probably indicates some low-level network read failing, but the fact that it generates a popup window in the debug flash player implies that I should be able to catch it.Since the error has no associated stack trace, I went so far as to add the an uncaught exception handler on my base Sprite object:

My uncaught exception handler will get called properly if I purposely throw in some errors, but it never gets called when this Error #2030 happens.How the heck can I catch this "End of file was encountered" error and deal with it in code? If I can't catch it, are there any thoughts on what's causing it and how I fix that? I've narrowed it down to having to do with RPC calls being made from my server to my client because when I disable those, but leave audio & video, I don't see the issue. Unfortunately, I don't yet have any good ideas beyond that.

In the 4th line in the code above i am getting "Error: Error #2030: End of file was encountered." I checked the length of the pixels object which is 4 times the width*height of the rect object. Given that setPixels() functions reads unsigned int from bytearray and sets that value to pixels, I think it should work.
But I have no clue why this wont work. The pixels object is filled after RLE decoding of the data which i get from a server.
Is there any work around or any other method which I could try to use. The loader class wont work as the data that I get from the server is not in any of the recognized format.
I was testing out some applications written in AS3 and it worked fine untill I encountered one app when I got the Flash10i.ocx error message. I uninstalled and re-installed the flash player and this time when I run the application I got the Flash10k.ocx error. I am using IE 7 and Flash CS5 and my OS is Win XP professional. I am trying to go through the code to see if there is any issue. Meantime I am posting the code here, if anyone is able to spot any issue with the coding do share with me. I'm making a system to upload photos to a gallery. I'm using filereference, and it's working alright. I can upload like 20 files fine sometimes.. but when I do like 50, it starts giving me errors on over half the files.
The error is: Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2038: File I/O Error.
This may be a php error, or server error, I'm not sure. Because the file isn't even uploading at all.

which everything seems fine, but when i implement a slider on a page inside a folder in the root (i.e. aboutus/index.aspx) i get that error when the slider is trying to call the images.I have similar slider animations in pages located in the root folder and in those i get no problem at all, seems it only happens when the page is located inside a folder.The website is done using main.master on asp, maybe the cache or rendering of the website is missing something, hope someone has had something similar or know how to get around this.

i have gotten ZendAMF working, i just want to know how i can make error handling better, so that as an example can use PHP to tell flash that no results were found, or that the typed text was invalid. Is it better to use AS3 to check if the field was filled properly?
in Flex I'm able to load a Image into an Image component (mx:Image) via a URL and it will display it, however in Flash if I try to load the same image via URL I get an unknown file type error. If I browse to the URL in a broswer, I can view the image.

What I need from this code is the following:
a. to pick up the mic activity level, read it, and based on the number put out a line
b. it to be kept to a minute, after the minute the screen is cleared and it plays back the lines and sounds that had been generated.
c. that nothing appears when the mic.activityLevel is 0
d.that when lines hit each other, a sound is made
I don't care if there is no playback, but right now I can't even get the lines to appear and I need the sounds to play when the lines hit each other.
I have an swf that sends info to a PHP file which in turn gets a SWF to FLV converter running. If I try this with a small 1kb swf file it works great and returns the results with in 5 seconds.However now that I step it up to convert the files in which it was intended, files ranging around 2 mbs, I get this error..

I have a Android Actionscript project that I am trying to incorporate sound in, but having a problem that I cannot figure out. I have the sound file in the same directory as my class file and my .xfl file. I am trying to start the music file as soon as the application starts via class reference, but am getting the same error everytime:
