I've googled these days to find a panoramic viewer for large horizontal pictures. Well I didn't find my pleasure, and I would like to know if you are aware of actionscript 3 versions of that kind of projects so that I could learn how it's coded?

im going to set a cenario with three pictures. The first one, the background, and two others, smaller.
Id like to make each one of the images to move slightly as the mouse moves, but each of the images must move in differect speeds and distance, making a pseudo 3d/panoramic illusion.
I'm currently learning Flash (CS4, AS3) and am creating a game. I have currently 1 flv file with 4 scenes, I then move from left to right and then to scene 2 and go from left to right. This is the game where items pop up that need to be clicked on and you get points.
Is there any way I can combine these onto 1 scene? Flash only allows you to have a maximum of 2880px wide.The reason for this is the transition between the scenes is RUBBISH and that my AS is not working correctly in between scenes (it loses values).
I've asked collegues and others, noone seems to have an answer to this.
I'm making a site that uses the Parallax Scroll effect, that is, when mouse moves and the movie scrolls, different layers move with different speeds - making it appear a bit 3-D.
Thing is, the original "world" which I import from Photoshop is very large, more than 9000 pixels wide, I don't know if this actually is the problem, but here it goes:
It skips, or hitches, from time to time. I of course want it to run smoothly.

I'm having two problems. First of all, the gallery loads all pictures at once. The more pictures in the XML file, the slower they all load. Secondly, I wanted the pictures to scroll in its _y coordinate, similar to Sugar Rhyme's website portfolio (see url]...).

View 2 RepliesWhen I try to scroll it using my custom buttons, it will only show up to a certain point (my guess is around 4000 or so), and then the canvas goes black (the background color set for the stage).My guess is that there is a limitation on the size of the objects (in this case an image) that we can use on flash, but I can't believe that there is no workaround other than breaking the image into a bunch of smaller images and loading them as one scrolls.I'm even repositioning the MC that holds the image before it is loaded, so that the image is centered, so that I'm not forcing one side of the workarea to handle most of the image, but only near half of it. After trying this, the image is not showing at all.
View 4 RepliesI have a few 180 panoramic images in pan.xml and firstly I want to load the first image (width=2737) onto stage, then adjust its size (according to the stage size) with adjustScale function and finally tween it with slidePanorama function. The problem is that first image tweens to the initial position (x=-2737/2) and not to the new position (-scaled width/2), so there's some empty space left on the right of the screen... I tried putting that adjustScale function everywhere, it doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? The second thing I want to do is to be able to navigate between other panoramas e.g. clicked on a button, load another panorama and repeat the same process as explained above..

Each room I have made on separate scenes, some rooms are on more than one scene (diff view points) and some room have a panoramic effect (these are the ones causing the problems). To achieve the panoramic scrolling I have made the room as a mC. Inside the mC I have buttons which should link to other scenes... 'enter the problem'. How do I link to another scene from in there? I have tried :

I'm a graphist ( french, sorry for the grammatical mistakes in the post ) and I just don't get I want to make an infinite panoramic controlled by mouse cursor position ( left et right ), with active zone in it.

Then be able to rotate, scale etc the resulting model.The coordinates aren't from a 3d drawing package but rather measured - therefore each point is literally assigned three numbers, in a tab delimited file. With a large number of points (i.e. over 100) is there a way to load in the file and then generate the resulting model?

Currently, it opens to the first image in the set. I think it would be better if it opened to the first page of the thumbnail browser instead, to let people that are clicking on it know that there are more images in the set than just the one. Otherwise, they would have to know to click on the little "additional guides" icon in the lower right corner.
I just need some help on quite a basic topic. Essentially I want a very simple image viewer. There are small thumbnails on the right, when one of them is clicked, a enlarged version of that image shows up next to all the thumbnails. View 1 RepliesI created a swf animation in Flash.The size is 1024x768.When playing the SWF file, if I change the size of the window, it doesn't keep the artwork size.As result when increasing or decreading window size, it shows what it is outside the 1024x768 and I don't want.Ex. The footer line that goes from left border to right border is now foating in the middle, not touching the border anymore.Is there a way to freeze it. I am on Flash MX Pro 2004, so I'm not sure what version this lines up with? I can also send you the file I've been working on if that would help. View 0 RepliesI followed the XML gallery tutorial on the main site, no problems there. But for this project I'd like to have multiple of those viewers on the cd-rom.
So what I did was I made 7 different viewer movieclips, 7 different XML files and 1 folder containing all the images.
How ever when I play my file what ever button I click it only links to 2 different XML files.
