ActionScript 3.0 :: Play Two Videos Simultaneously And Load Progressive

I am busy with a project where two videos have to play on top of each other. One video is really small and the other rather large (more than 20 MB). Because the large video has to be aligned in the center of the screen and the small video has to have a fixed position, the videos must be played separated.
Because of the large filesize I cannot embed the videos in the swf. It will become too large. Therefore the video's must be loaded in progressive mode. But because the smaller video will be loaded much earlier, the video's will not play in sync.
I have 4 live f4vs that I'm using with interactive server 3.5. Thus they are running in dvr. I'm trying to find a way to control all 4 videos so that when you go back on one video all 4 videos go back to the same time. This is very important with camera 4 as it is the only one with sound.I have tried putting all 4 videos in one swf file and I have tried putting each video as its own swf.
I have set the Progressive-Download video instead of Streaming-Video (because my webserver provider "aruba.it" doesn't offer streaming videos), in Flash CS4 Professional, and exported to Dreamweaver CS4. I have also inserted the HTML code in Dreamweaver CS4 to enable FullScreen Playback of Flash .flv Videos.Now I have a problem:
- When the webpage loads into Internet Explorer 7, it take much time to load all the videos at same time!
Thus I want this:
- I want that the videos start to load just when I press the Play button, individually, not at same time.- I don't not want that start the load immediately when the webpage opens in IE7. - I want that the videos start to load content in the same manner of YouTube videos, just when I press play.
How can I do? What is the HTML code that I should insert into DreamweaverCS4? I have seen this help page: [URL]
At Chapter "Public Methods" I have seen this "load" function:"Begins loading the FLV file and provides a shortcut for setting the autoPlay property to false and setting the source, totalTime, and isLive properties, if given..."
Has anyone seen a Flash video player out there that will load and play two videos at the same time, such as for comparing videos? A potential client is looking for something along the lines of this. I've not been able to locate anything out there,and I'm wondering if there's a usability reason for this...Obviously, you wouldn't want the audio playing for both at the same time, and the bandwidth issue for something like this might be a concern too. My feeling is that you wouldn't want to restrict a user to just playing both videos at once, but give them the option to play them separately or at the same time, with controls for each audio and playback.
I am creating a flash "video jockey" station. I have 9 videos that are different parts of a song. Each video is loaded upon the loading of the swf with a volume of 0 . When the buttons given are pressed, they unmute and expose the video. I have it set to a 36 second loop. I have coded in a rewind for each video. When I export it for html, the rewind and play no longer matches up. I feel like there may be a simpler way to code what I am doing, and a way to say that all videos should match up based on their location within their 36 second play time. I have included the actionscript3 I have written for two of the videos. Imagine this with 9 total videos and background music all having the same rewind function.

I am trying to load video in to flash. using progressive download... From what i googled It was said to follow the below procedure Import video -> select already deployed on a web server -> add video url it creates a FLVPlayback component Is this the right way? I have done video loading using NetStream a lot of time considering this method as streaming, though i am not sure if what this type of loading is called..
I am trying to make a swf with one FLV playback player and 6 buttons. I've got 6 different videofiles that I want to have linked to this swf. Some of the videos are quit large.When starting the Swf, the first video has to start, after playing it, it has to stop. Then you must be able to choose which video to play by clicking one of the buttons. I don't want to have small thumbnails of the video, just plain and simple buttons.I have to have all my files, both fla, swf and xml files in the same directory (I cannot have them stored in different folders, since I have to upload this to a cms system which has limited upload properties).
I've tried to find the right script on the internet, I'm not very good at scripting myselve, actually rather poor educated there.It seems to me that I have to make an xml file with a list of all my videos, I have my default swf ready, with a FLVplayback and buttons.Now there's just the coding part....
Imagine this scenario:The application is a Game, where the enemy characters can 'attack' the player, and each time they attack the 'Attack.mp3 file is played from the libraryNow my question is, if I have to create a new instance of the MP3 file in the memory, each time playing it, or can i use a 'master' Sound instance ,that I can play multiple times simultaneously.(similarly I can use one 'enemy.jpg' bitmapdata, that I can then copy to the screen with copyPixels, and only having it in the memory just once )IE if i have 50 'Enemy' characters running around the game
Just for tweak purposes. Is it a good idea to load Images simultaneously? Why would i wanna load images sequentially or simultaneously? What are the advantages and disadvantages of the 2 approaches?
Can a html webpage load multiple flash simultaneously which uses FLVplayback component ? Because I am trying to create a webpage then loads and play multiple videos in flv format simultaneously and was thinking of using 3 or more flash file to play the videos.
Okay so I am trying to load external swfs which load videos dynamically.
I can load the swfs into the parent fla fine (if I remove all the code and just place a circle or something on the stage of the swf), and the swfs are also loading their respective videos correctly. But when I try to load the external swfs, if they contain any casting related code in them, I'm getting an error
[AS]TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference. at swf1_fla::MainTimeline/frame1()[/AS]
Is there some specific method to casting within external swfs?

If I create a .swf video and then embed it in my webiste the video doesn't play. The placeholder for the flash player is blank on the screen. But if I load a .swf file that is a slideshow or has animation then it plays in the flash player just fine. I am creating in an ASP.net environment using Visual Studio 2008. I have tried everything. I've published using Flash CS4, I've tried using the SWFObject, I ve tried javascript and its all the same. Videos just don't play but any other .swf file will.
I have 1 flv with only 12 seconds of audio. another flv that is 10 seconds with only video another flv that is 2 seconds with only video Lets assume both video files are as long as my audio file. Which actionscript commands should I look further into to: 1. play audio simultaneously with video 2. play the 2 second video smoothly/seamlessly after the 10 second video is over as if it were a 12 second vide 3. if my audio or video were mp3/wma instead of flv would I run into trouble 4. I had to reinstall my flash cs3. I have downloaded all the updates. But applications I made prior to my reinstall that were playing mp4 videos will no longer work. how to play videos randomly? For example, if I have 5 videos in a flash file, how can I make the player play the 5 videos randomly on every page refresh?

I have a file that uses buttons to play a series of videos. I want to have the button for the currently playing video to stay in the 'down' state while it plays but I don't know how to do it.
So, I've got my videos set up on the server structure right. I've got them referenced properly in the Flash playback component.But some of the videos on the server stream and some don't.The ones that don't still show up as connections in the Administrator, though
I'm looking for a solution to play HD videos on a multimonitor OSX environment for a projector/desktop application. It could be one huge video, or a video split in parts.So far I've been using Flash StageVideo successfully to play 1080p and 720p on single monitors. This works great with flash projectors. The problem with flash projectors is you can't span multiple monitors, or multiple windows. I still haven't tried opening multiple projectors, because I wouldn't know how to position each projector in a different monitor consistently.
In Adobe AIR you can have multiple windows and control their position, but AFAIK you can't use StageVideo to decode videos with the GPU... and using the classic Video class is really out of the question.
With C++ there are multiple frameworks (cinder/openFrameworks) but AFAIK opening multiple windows, or spaning multiple monitors is not such a good idea because of bad performance. I stil haven't figured out if it's possible or even a good idea to open one app per monitor and control it's position.
I have a mov file that's 157 megabytes. I try running it on my page within a javascript scroller animation and the animation is very choppy and in fact I used css to simulate a mask but the thing doesn't get masked, probably do to the sluggishness of whole page, the page never fully loads, and the movie file makes it nearly impossible to scroll through the page. The file is just too huge. I currently have it embedded as such:
1) Should I convert the mov to swf - that is, is swf a more compatible and appropriate format for seamless integration in html web page?
2) Whichever I choose, how do I reduce the file size - like on youtube where the videos run seamlessly? I plan on using javascript to scroll through a gallery of videos, so I need the videos to not bog down the page.
3) Also, a lot of sites with galleries of videos have an icon that indicates "click to play". Is that part of the video itself or can I just create an image and then when clicked on, the video plays?
I do have Adobe Flash CS4 Professional, if that matters. And if mov file is more suitable, then how can I reduce its file size?

I'm working on a website template that includes a video component. I'm assuming I need to use the video object and it only plays actual video files. What if I want to play videos from Youtube? Would I have to download the video and put the video file somewhere where Flash can access it? Like on my computer or uploaded on a server?
