View 4 RepliesI have a problem... i wanted to loop a service call so that it can dynamically populate my array..this is my sampple code
var i:Number = new Number();
{
for(i=0;i<facilityIDArray.length;i++){
[code].....
I'm using FlashDevelop as IDE and I'm trying to connect to AMF3 service (amfphp) and get user details.I can connect to AMF service with this code in AMFinit() function...
private function AMFinit():void{
AMFService.objectEncoding = ObjectEncoding.AMF3;
AMFService.connect(AMFServiceURL);
AMFService.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netStatusHandler);
[code]....
But to use outside the AMF_MyUserInfo() function I want to copy that "res" object to another object. I tried with specifing an object in Class and set res to this object in AMF_MyuserInfo() function with "this.myobject = res" but it didn't work.
I also tried "this.myobject.username = res.username" but it didn't work also. how can I use this res object globally or in AMFinit() function?
i wanted to loop a service call so that it can dynamically populate my array..this is my sampple code
var i:Number = new Number();
{
for(i=0;i<facilityIDArray.length;i++){
getEventsFromFacilityIDResult.token = currenteventService.getEventsFromFacilityID(facilityIDArray.getItemAt(i));
getEventsFromFacilityIDResult.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT,toShowArray);
}
then this is the function that is called by the service call
{
public function toShowArray(event:ResultEvent):void
{
var i:Number = new Number();
[code]....
the main thing that is happening here is only the last call will be added to showArray the other calls are disregarded..
i want to write responder in fms 3.5 here is my code but is not working
clientCount = function(AppClient)
{
AppClient.call("fmsping",myResponderSuccess); // fmsping is the function at client side which returns true boolean variable
[Code].....
why this is not working.I have an application with a new class I just created. The class loads, but will not call it's own internal function.
package com.parkerandkent.components.classic.photogallery {
import caurina.transitions.Tweener;
import flash.display.MovieClip;[code]....
"Test 2" will not fire here.And I get this error message:
CallTag.as , Line 10 1180: Call to a possibly undefined method init.
I feel like I must be doing this wrong. I've got a function that is supposed to construct a query based on an API's description of available fields. Here's what I've got:
var query_fields = getQueryFieldsFor(sobject_name); Need query fields for the next statement, which actually does the query
public function getQueryFieldsFor(sObject:String):String{
//helper function to get queryfields for given sobject
var queryFields:String = '';
[Code]...
I know this doesn't work, and I think I understand why. However, I keep running into this type of issue and I believe I'm just thinking about it/designing it wrong. So what's a better pattern here?
I have created a NetConnection to a Coldfusion component and the responder is tracing the fact that I have some data being returned.
My question is: How do I access the data that is contained within the responder?The coldfusion component is returning a recordset and with actionscript 3, I have no idea how to get to the data contained within the reposnse.
i have a flash based site and on the contact page of the site... when some one enters thier info on the contact page... they get a auto responder email... i mean whatever the user's email address is... an email is sent to that email address... and i wanna change that one![URL]the form is on contact page!
there is a file form.php and it has contents
<?php
$sendTo = "schristmasvillabeverlykoziar@koziarge.com";$subject = "KOZIAR'S CHRISTMAS VILLAGE CONTACT FORM";
$headers = "From: " . $_POST["Name"]. "<" . $_POST["Email"] . ">
"; $headers .= "Reply-To: " . $_POST["Email"] . "
"; $headers .= "Return-Path: " . $_POST["Email"];

say an application has panel and panel has button and textField or textArea. we click on a button to hit a service say via cairngorm framework.
The Events lifecycle follows the capture-target-bubble cycle in the display hierarchy like the MouseClick event on button will call the handlers for the listeners attached to button and/or panel and/or application and/or stage since the flow moves in this direction.
How do the event on non hierarchy works e.g the result from the service fires a custom event DataRecieved. we have a listener attached to the panel/button for this dataRecieved event. How do this listener gets the information? how the event lifecycle comes into this picture?
I have a question to invoke the responder method defined in a flash client within an asynchronous function defined in a flash media server.[code]
View 1 RepliesI have a perfectly working form on my site where users input their email and it goes straight into my email inbox. However, I would like them to recieve an autoresponder message when they input an email. Although the(my) email to which user's email is sent to has an autoresponder active, my server administrator explained that when an email is recieved, an autoresponder is sent to the form/site and not the user's email address. He said I would require a code to put in my form to facilitate sending the autoresponder to the user who inputs his email in my site.
View 2 RepliesI am having a problem using ExternalInterface.call to a javascript function. I have used this method many times in many places and at some point during this project, it was working, but now it stalls my Flash file when executed. I have the function: var initialize=function(){ExternalInterface.call("SCOInitialize");statusTxt.text="initializing"; } On my html page, there is a SCOInitialize function that works perfectly if I call it via the html page: <body onLoad="SCOInitialize()"> ... </body> When I make the call using flash... initialize(); ...the Flash file just gets hung up and it actually wont execute the second line of code in the function: statusTxt.text="initializing"; What is the deal? I can't for the life of me figure out why it won't
View 7 RepliesWhy is the function not working?This is my function:
function add_controll_pannel() {
this.attachMovie("controll_pannel","controll_panne lMC",10);
controll_pannelMC._x="157";
controll_pannelMC._y="186";
}
And this is my function call:
add_controll_pannel;
Nothing happens.
Can someone create a working ExternalInterface.call example?Just a simple alert function call, with the javascript function on the html page?I've been searching for 2 days, and even samples that people have posted on blog tutorials are not workingURL...
View 9 RepliesBelow is a link to an example web service that I'm hoping you guys can tell me what I'm doing wrong. I have this dictionary app that works great when I'm in flash and preview it, but when I publish it and view it on the web, it simply doesn't work. I'm not sure what I'm missing. The link below has links to the project in CS5 and CS4.
View 1 RepliesIn Wordpress I have put the following javascript code in my HEAD section:
Code:
<script type="text/javascript">
function helloWorld() {
alert('Hello World');
}
</script>
[Code]...
I've got a very basic test file that just fires a Javascript function with an alert() in it (i.e. alert("You clicked a button."). In IE this works just fine, but in Firefox it wasn't doing a thing. I finally realised it might be SWFObject, so I published the HTML file straight from Flash and all of sudden my ExternalInterface call works perfectly in Firefox as well.
Here's my SWFObject embed code:
PHP Code:
<script type="text/javascript">var params = {};
var flashvars = {};
var attributes = {id:"testTool", name:"testTool"}
params.allowscriptaccess = "always";
params.bgcolor = "#B0E3DE";
[Code] .....
I've been googling this for about 4 hours and there are lots of mentions of the SWFObject requiring an ID attribute for addCallBack calls (hence the attributes object), and I've been through a whole bunch of posts in various forums but can't pinpoint a single solution for ExternalInterface.call() not working with SWFObject in Firefox.
I have a main MovieClip that creates a new instance of an imported class which is a page in the application. This class tries to call a function on the main MovieClip and it's not finding it. I've done this in the past without any problems with separate swf files and loaders, and with movieclips in a library. I'm at a loss on how to resolve this. Here's what I'm doing (simplified for posting):
[Code]....
I am writing a small program which can simulate mouse clicks at specified positions. Using the Win32 API call mouse_event like so:
[DllImport("user32.dll", CharSet = CharSet.Auto, CallingConvention = CallingConvention.StdCall)]
public static extern void mouse_event(uint dwFlags, uint dx, uint dy, uint dwData, UIntPtr dwExtraInfo);
[Code].....
Works perfectly fine, except when the mouse cursor is over a Flash application. Flash seems to ignore the simulated mouse click.
The structure of my site is as follows:
mainPage.html contains - menu.swf & iframe1
iframe1 contains - subpage.html
subpage.html contains - subMenu.swf & contentpage.html
The way it works is that when menu.swf is clicked it changes the .src of iframe1 to load the appropriate subpage.html. Then when you click the subMenu.swf it changes the .src of iframe2 to load the appropriate contentpage.html[URL]..
It all works perfectly in Firefox but in IE the ExternalInterface call from the subMenu never reaches the container page to change the .src of the iframe.It seems as though it's something to do with the .swf being inside the iframe because I am still able to call a javascript function from within the iframe using an html button.
I've put together a slideshow in AS3. When the user clicks on an image in the slideshow, I'm using FlashLightboxInjector to bring up a Lightbox version of the image they just clicked on. In my AS3, each time I add a thumbnail into the slideshow, ExternalInterface.call is supposed to call a function within FlashLightboxInjector that appends the image onto a <div>. The div is used as a reference to Lightbox to know what the image path/title are.
Code:
public function buildPicArray():void
{
for each(var pic:XML in picXML.photo)
[Code].....
This works fine when I don't use a background-image in the body css. However, when I do use a background image, none of the myFlashLightboxInjector.append() functions are called or the appends aren't functioning correctly because they don't show up in Firebug, there is just an empty div. So, when I click on a thumbnail, no Lightbox image comes up.
i need a wey without knowing the index value of spacific client in the application clients array to identify this user for use: application.clients[this client id].call to him only. in addobe halp its says: "Do not use the index value of the clients array to identify users between calls, because the array is compacted when users disconnect and the slots are reused by other Client objects" but it do not say what to use??... i try this 4 ways none working - last 2 throw error:
[Code]....
I'm hitting a brick wall here, and it's driving me mad. Used to use ExternalInterface to call Flash functions from Javascript all the time, and now under CS5 (and the way it uses object id's instead of embed in html) it's stopped working for me in certain browsers. I put together a really simple program that has the person click a link in the browser that activates a javascript function that simply sends some text in to Flash to display in a TextArea. Here's the as3 code:
[Code]....
My main movie calls loadMovieNum("projects/index.swf", 1); . Therein, the movie index.swf calls loadText.load("projects/projects.html");.
Is there a way to change the working directory so that index.swf can simply call projects.html, without referencing the projects directory? This is particularly useful bc the text file calls a number of links.
i have some actionscript that makes a
ExternalInterface.call('someFunction');
call.is it possible to reference the html object that made the call to someFunction directly using the ExternalInterface.call call?
Assume that the object that makes the call also has some Callbacks (via ExternalInterface.addCallback) that are accessible via javascript.
Currently:
Actionscript source
ExternalInterface.call("someFunction");
ExternalInterface.addCallback("someCallback",someASfunction);
[code]....
I'm trying to use ExternalInterface.Call to call a JavaScript function to launch a lightbox window. So far I have this:
AS3:
flash.external.ExternalInterface.call("launchLB", "" + aUrl + "");
JavaScript:
function launchLB(url) {
alert(url);
[Code]....
I get the alert but I can't get the lightbox window to display. When my as code makes the ExternalInterface call I get what looks like a page refresh and a blank browser window.
I'm trying to get the AS3 Flash remoting example found here: [URL]. and I keep getting this error: Code: Select allError #2044: Unhandled NetStatusEvent:. level=error, code=NetConnection.Call.BadVersion at amfphp1_fla::MainTimeline/frame1() Here's the code I'm trying:
[Code]....
I'm having trouble simulating a click call to a button(displayObject) thats generated via an API call( youtube as3 API). I have not seen any mention of security reasons as to why I can not simulate a click as long as something is registered with a click handler. Basically I checked to make sure the button made is listening to a mouse click event with:
trace(generatedButton.hasEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK)) which returns true
I proceed to than call this:
generatedButton.dispatchEvent( new MouseEvent(MouseEvent.CLICK, true) );
And nothing happens yet if I physically click the button it works. Is there some security measure that prevents something from being fake clicked unless its origin is strictly from the system mouse?
I even set a timeout call on the click function and moved my cursor over the button and let it fire in case it was an issue of the mouse having to over the object but still nothing. I am kind of stumped at this point.
I have an enterFrame action that I use on a graphic:
[Code]....
Because I want to use the above code more than a few times, I tried to make it a function.
[Code]....
But for some reason the function call does not work when I call it via an action on a graphic where initially the code worked when it was explicitly written and not called as a function.
Code:
onClipEvent (enterFrame) {
fadeOut();
}
