ActionScript 3.0 :: Retrieve Query Results From ASP.NET Web Service?

I located a code example to reference my ASP.NET web service and have saved it as MainDocument.as. I have a combo box cbRentalType that has entries of Party (value=3), Sale (value=1) and All (value = All). I have a combo box cbCatSelect that allows the user to select Product Categories. I have a text input field txtSearch where the user enters their search string.
What I need to do:
1. Submit a query with RentalType=1 or 3 or Blank, Category = dbCatSelect.selectedvalue and Product Keyword = txtSearch to my web service.
2. The ASP.NET web service returns all database entries from MS Access query named ProductDetailsAll. These query results need to be populated in individual rectangle objects with dynamic text fields for Product Name, Image, Description and Price. How do I set these dynamic fields to populate data from my query?
3. The Flash movie clip contains 16 rectangles, or can house up to 16 product results from the web service. If more than 16 results are returned, how do I populate a new page of product details in my movie clip?
4. How do I reference the outgoing variables in Actionscript 3.0 pertaining to CategoryID, RentalType and search string? How/where do I store the incoming variables for Product Name, Description, Image and Price?
I've made a query in PHP, and I'm trying to send the results back into Flash via AS3, but it's throwing up this error...
Error: Error #2101: The String passed to URLVariables.decode() must be a URL-encoded query string containing name/value pairs. at Error$/throwError() at flash.net::URLVariables/decode() at flash.net::URLVariables() at flash.net::URLLoader/onComplete()
Here is the relevant part of the PHP and AS3 code, including the query. I'm building Flex 3 application and I have a geocoding service (http://.../GeocodeServer) on a ArcGIS server (ESRI). I'm trying to execute a query on this service in order to retrieve some informations.
Unfortunately, when I execute the query, I get this error : [RPC Fault faultString="" faultCode="400" faultDetail="Invalid URL"]
It's definitely not the URL that is invalid since my locator uses it without any problem.
I need to run a query and convert the results to an XML string. I *think* I need to do all of this in PHP but I wanted to get some guidance as sometimes I make things more difficult than necessary.
Do I have 2 scripts... one to query and one to process the results to XML? Or can I put them both in the same script. To do the latter is not proper OOP practice, correct?
Once that is done, I can get the data into Flash. I need it to be XML though because the same data is being used elsewhere outside of Flash.
Is this the proper, most efficient way of handling this task?
this seems like it should be simple but for some reason i can't figure out how to get the value of a variable out of a URL query string. if this is in my location bar: [URL] and i just want the value of "chosenCLIP" to use in my loaded SWF file, how do i do it in AS3?
i am using Flash CS4 (AS3) + AMFPHP + MySQL to do own flash frontend for Wordpress CMS. Everything is going fine but i`ve got one problem. Problem with properly display of result of query in AS3 by using ArrayCollection.
When i check my service in "amfphp/browser/" in web browser i`ve got this (with all needed data):
I know that "result" is an ArrayCollection type but i don`t know how to get rows and columns from this. I know that my data is there but i have no idea how to get it.
how to get to Arrays and simple data variables which are in ArrayCollection.
P.S. I tried also change query type in service.PHP for mysql_fetch_query but in that case i`ve got only one row (not all data).
When I test my deployed app in a browser the popup window continues to be displayed even after it should be closed. Everything works as expected when debugged in Flash Builder 4.
Following is currently what's happening: the request is sent to my restful web service, which processes the request, (seemingly) the ResultEvent is called which in turn dispatches the profileEvt dynamic event that changes the view state. However, the popup window does not get closed and the applet gets 'stuck.'

I am trying to read data from the java web service from flex mxml/action script, seems like the call i.e request/response is successfully but when unable to read the value from the response[code]...
I am querying to server through flex,first time its show the result but when I insert a new record and query next time,its shows previous results only(problem facing in IE but not in chrome).
I'm having some trouble getting around a security restriction of flex. Saving a file is apparently an action that can only be invoked upon user interaction. The problem is that after my user clicks on the save button, I need to perform a database query to get the data for the file I want to save.
Because Flex works asynchronous, I have to make the database call and then catch the ResultEvent in a different function. In that function, I no longer have the user's mouseclick event. How am I then supposed to save this file?
I'm using the xml connector to retrieve the results then bound the items array to the dataprovider No problem to access the items but my question is how to access to var1 and var2 in actionscript. Could i bound it to a var?
Using the web services panel, I've connected to a web service, but all the method calls will only show the param structures/types - not the result structures/types. To the best of my knowledge, I'm sending the right parameters, in the right structure, but always I get an empty response.The web services panel:

I have a dropdown box that is used to select a Category. I need the Flash Application to send the value of Category plus the search string in my textbox to my Access query and return results for each product meeting selection criteria. The Flash Application is calling an ASP.NET web service which in turn queries an MS Access database.
To start, how do I define the category ID and search value in my Actionscript 3 code?I've placed a series of 12 or so objects that will be populated with the product description, title and price. How do I setup each field to be dynamic text associated with the title description and price from my query results? If there are more than 12 products returned by the query, how do I add an additional page of objects to house more than 12 query results?
I am refactoring some code. I have a PHP page that contains a MySQL query and stores the result in a PHP variable $my_result. This result is then echoed to a Flash SWF during embedding with SWFObject. I now want to call this PHP page that makes the query from a javascript function like so - one change I have made to the PHP is that instead of storing the result in a variable $my_result I am echoing the result. I'm trying to run a sqlite query in flex to count the total number of records I believe its working fine but I just can't figure out how to display the results - all I get back is [object Object].

I am experiencing a strange problem when I want to bind a service to a button or something else:

I can add the services to the Data Services panel but I have two strange things:
1) when I want to configure the return type he doesn't let me create a new ValueObject type, I only get the bottom datagrid which states: Properties returned by the operation: Property: country_Id, provence_Id, city_Id, id_cdpc, district_Id with the related values on the right side. Why can't I create a new data type on the top?
2) When I accept this and want to add the service call to a button (drag&drop) I get the following error: Error occurred while generating code. Make sure that there are no compiler eroors and try again after reopening the file. Componentn type services.cdpc.CDPC not found... (ps: When I perform a Test Operation everything seems to be ok, I get the expected output values)
server the scripts it has to load from the server, but if i call it like it will not load and will get stuck. i remember there was a parameter for the player about allowing it to read only local scripts or something like that, and i plan to test it with this (or if according to the problem description, somebody else has a different theory, all is welcome), but at least in dreamweaver it does not appear the parameter for flash objects, and i dont remember where i saw that parameter or what was its name, what is the parameter to allow a flash movie to read scripts from different servers (even though the situation is kinda weird, since dnses are pointed correctly, or it would not load at all with my and how do i edit the parameters value? do i have to edit it by hand in all pages, in all occurrences?

I recently made a drag and drop game that gets users to rate a word 1 - 5, nothing fancy just event listeners that have many (many) if statements that push the selection into an array at an index.However now that I have this preference list im kinda stuck as I dont know what to do with it now.In java I could save it to a file but from everything ive read there are things to stop flash/as3 from accessing your hard drive(security issues)Basically im trying to find a a way to put this array into some sort of use such as saving them to a file on my hard drive.Also as an aside if there any good tutorials on how to make a scoreboard?ay if a player gets 3 of them 'right' they'd get 3 points and be placed accordingly.
I building a website with Ruby on Rails framework.The site will contain a flash application that will interact with the rails application using web service.My partner builds the flash application and he told me that the flash application interacts through WSDL file.

I also have an actionscript, in which I have ingArr:Array of ingredient strings.Now, I would like to realize the following queries here:
1) Select (all fields) one recipe which has the most of ingredients from the array. If more than one record have the same amount of matches, then divide the number of matches by total number of ingredients in recipe and return the one with the highest ratio. If there are no matches return nothing.
2) As above, but return 10 recipes with the most matches and do not perform check for equal number of matches. Sort the results by the number of matches.
