Jan 13, 2005Im trying to make a furniture dragging utility on these floor plans and i'm kind of stuck. I will have more than one piece of furniture (if u look in the library there is more) that i want to drag instances of from spots on the right onto the floor plan. the problem i'm having is that my dragging functions arent working/duplicating the clips properly. after the clips has been dragged on to the floor plan (duplicated and dragged there), it needs to still be draggable so if they decide to move it they can drag the duplicated instance anywhere they want it. the right side is like a "key" lets say, of available furniture and by clicking and dragging one out it puts it on the floor plan but the default instance still stays on the right.
i will also be adding a rotate function later for the dragged out furniture, i can figure stuff out later where is houdl be putting the rotation code.

the problem is that the hit becomes true when the object isn't hitting anything for instance if the object was moving across the screen the hit randomly becomes true.I have another hitest in the same project which works fine.

I am displaying a graph with 10 random values and based on the values i am trying to change the itemrenderer values like CandlestickItemRenderer and BoxItemRenderer. Now my requirement was, if the values are > 10 i want to show my chart with CandlestickItemRenderer else i want to show the remaining spots as BoxItemRenderer. I am failing to do this. Either i am getting all the shapes as BoxItemRenderer or CandlestickItemRenderer. i am sending the code as a text file along with this.

May 25, 2010I imported an avi video to flash, converted it to flv with Adobe media encoder, and did some symbol animation on top of it.How do I export an avi video so that the video I imported is actually playing, and not just to see the skin and flv icon? When I test the video it makes it in swf form and I'd rather not convert it any further and mess up it's quality.Is it possible to view the video in work space while animating symbols over it (I kinda did it by heart)?

Dec 10, 2010I am currently working on a flash website that has several flv videos on it. Since the website layout has a slight tilt, I have had to transform the videos to slightly tilt as well. The problem that I am having is that when I do this the image becomes very pixelated and the edges of the video become jagged. I have somewhat fixed the edges issue by making a mask around it but i really dont know how to make the resolution better, or what causes it to loose resolution when slightly transformed. The size of the videos is the same as encoded. All I do is tilt them upwards on the right side a bit.

The only thing I have left to do is to have the main timeline move onto frame 2 once the external video reaches its end. I am using actionscript 3 and flash cs 5.5.

Apr 29, 2011Looking into HTML5 video tag, and researching which browsers support which video file types, and my initial thought is things just got harder than just using flash. I am wondering if there is some skeleton code (combined with development approach for videos) that someone has figured out to do the following: If flash is available, use it If not, try html5 video ogg format If that doesn't work, try html5 video h.264 format If that doesn't work, try html5 video webM format Based on what I am seeing, am I correct in thinking that now, in order to accommodate all users on all browsers, a video needs to be published in 4 formats? If so, this HTML5 video thing is an epic fail!

Media Server :: FLV Video Freezes After Camera Switched On But Video 'is' In File
Aug 12, 2009I had an flv recording from a webcam.It mostly recorded fine, but there's one point where I paused the broadcast for an intermission.A few minutes later the broadcast started again but the video doesn't play beyond that point, only audio plays.A few minutes later in the recording the broadcast switched to another camera and the video starts playing again just fine from there.I can't seek past the frozen point either to skip a couple of seconds ahead.The freeze is at about 9:00.If I seek to 9:01 it jumps ahead 8 minutes to where the camera switches.What's strange in this is that the video is *definitely* in the file.Using Moyea's FLV Editor Pro I converted the FLV to an MPEG and the whole video is there, so it's not that the camera stopped transmitting, it's just that the playback isn't working.

Sep 9, 2010I'm porting in an .flv to Flash for the first time. I created the .flv from an .MP4 using Media Encoder CS5, and then opened a new Actionscript 3 .fla in Flash Professional CS5, clicked File > Import > Import Video. Then selected 'Load external video with playback component'. Everything seems to have imported fine, but when I publish the SWF and import it via Dreamweaver CS5 and preview the page, the video is there, but the controls are not. There's just a white box where the controls should be. Also, the video is out of sync with the audio, which I believe is a problem with Media Encoder, not Flash.

Mar 28, 2011I'm currently working on a website design. The idea is a big chromakeyed interactive video in Flash. The size of the video is 1080 (width) x 1500 (height) pixels.I've exported the video in After Effects with the standard settings for flash (File>Export>Adobe Flash Player(SWF)). Now when I import the video in Flash and preview the file, the video plays in a slower speed and it's not playing smooth at all...Is the video too big? Is there a maximum video-size to keep the video running correct in Flash? Is it something else that causes this problem..?
