ActionScript 3.0 :: Change Size Of Mc When Dragged Over An Object?
Jul 21, 2011
I'm doing a little drag and drop work and I'm wondering if it's possible to change the size of an object when it is dragged over another object on the stage..
For example I would like to drag a square movieclip around, but when it is dragged over a certain object it either play the movieclip and 'morph' into a rectangle or simply become rectangular (using a frame label or something) !
Is it possible to do this sort of thing with hitTestObject or hitTestPoint or dropTarget without contiuously checking if the objects are in contact ?
i created a flash website but the problem is the size is to large to fit on screen i have imbeded buttons, Movies clips, masks, and about 7 different scenes in this 13 mb movie what do i do to make the physicle size of the objects on screen so i can view it on my sceen?
I am trying to simulate onpress and onrelease functions but using onMouseDown and onMouseUp.squareContainer can be dragged around but squareBack, which is inside squareContainer changes colour when clicked. These both work.But.. when I drag squareContainer around, if the mouse is on squareBack (back) it changes colour as it sees it as onMouseDown. In the mouseUp, if squareContainer has changed position then it has been dragged. Then, using this I somehow want to say in mouseDown that if squareContainer is being dragged then dont change colour.. but it doesnt work!!![code]
I'm dragging a movieclip that has the visibility set to false. I can trace the x and y of the clip and it is definitely where the mouse is. However, when I toggle the visibility to true, occassionaly it flashes on at the last location it was visible, just for a brief instance, before teleporting to the mouse location.
how to determine if there's a dragged object. Is there a way to do this?
I know if you start another drag on the other object it will stop the current dragged object. Maybe there's a public function that will query about this?
I'm trying to code the snap to grid functionality. The dragged object should snap to the grid if the distance between the object bounds and a grid line is less than 5px. I found a way to do it if the object's rotation is 0 but it doesn't work if I rotate the object. I need a different approach. Can you point me into the right direction with the algorythm or any source code?
I'm using AS3. I have a timeline with 12 labeled frames (page 1...page12). On frames 1 to 10, I have 3 objects that users can drag and drop onto matching places. There is a timer (60 seconds) and a counter. Users should match 15 objects correctly. If so, they go to frame 12 (congratulations!). If not, they go to frame 11 (Sorry, try again), which returns them to frame 1 (page 1).
ISSUE When users drag an object (mouseDown) and don't release it when time is over, the dragged object remains on the screen. When users go to frame 11 and game starts over, the object remains throughout the entire game.
How can I get rid of the dragged object that isn't dropped when the time is over?
ActionScript Code: // // TIMER var time1:int=60; var myTimer1:Timer = new Timer(1000, time1);
When you click and drag with the mouse, it gets dragged along, constrained to the x axis (left and right only).When the mouse button is the released the object keeps going at that speed and direction, the slows to a stop. If the unpressed mouse is the moved, the object DOES NOT change direction to follow the mouse.The object does not respond to or in any way follow the unpressed mouse; all it does it come to a stop when the mouse is released, as described above.
I use something like this code to detect the speed of the movement of a dragged object
PHP Code:
if (!go) { this["position_"+i] = this._y; i++;[code]....
This way I can find in what direction the mouse vertically has moved and at what speed. The problem is that every once in a while the speed will be in the opposite direction. What do people use to detect the direction of the movement of the mouse?
I want to reduce the size of Swf using the size mentioned in the object tag of html. Same swf file size can be different for different request.
The problem is this if we reduce the size all control in swf reduced according to the change in swf size. But we want the buttons and one more graphics remain same size for any change in size of swf file. How can we make it ..
I'm trying to get an object to increase in size the lower it goes down the stage, and decrease in size the high it moves up the stage.
It only needs to increase or decrease by a small amount. Basically, it's for a game character. To ad realism to his movements, it would be nice to have this feature.
i want to know how did the creator of otradesign accomplish the effect in his site like the menu and the main contents change size and the menu position according to the size of main contents.
I'm wondering whether it's possible to change the size of a flash application at runtime?
I know I can scale the SWF with HTML/JavaScript, but I'm not talking about scaling here. I want to change the actual size, not just enlarge it visually. Let's say my SWF is 400x300 pixels. At runtime, I want to change it to 500x400. All the elements inside the SWF (buttons or whatever) should remain the same size. It's the Stage itself that should change.
i mean..i dont want my user to maximize or minimize the file..like u ppl must have seen the softwares setups..their window file size cannot be changed.
I have a flash file with the stage size 800x600Now I change the stage size to 1024x768 but all the constant ( movie clip, images, buttons..) do not fit with the new stage size.
I have problems in my flash project. I cant duplicete some pictures or "group items" , when I copy/paste them and when I start to edit that one that I copyed it automacly edit the original version...I cant duplicate this object on picture ( http:[url]....)... what ever I do..it always start to change the oroginal object...
So I was doing my usual work with flash when I switched to my brush. Wanted about an 25 or so but i couldn't change the stroke size. It doesn't say anything it just won't let me drag it. Its really irritating..
How can I change the size of the document dynamically? The document has a fixed size and when I use the Movieclip(root).width/height I change the size of the movieclip but not of the document. How can I access the width/height of the document?
I'm trying to work with a very long image that scrolls through a page. Piecing it together, it's roughly 12000 pixels wide. I can't view the image because the pasteboard seems to only be around 3000 pixels. Is there a way to increase pasteboard size?
So I was making one of my first flash animations in Flash Pro CS5.5 and... when I select the brush tool the "Stroke" is greyed out, it's there, but I can't move it. The strange thing is I can change the fill colour and change the stroke size on the pencil, but why can't I change the stroke on the brush?
How to change the size of cursor in flash,when we use dynamic text box or input text box the cursor is covering the whole height of the text box.is there any way to reduce the size of cursor
In my movie, I have a dynamic textfield on the timeline starting the first frame and going to the end. At various points during the movie, I change the text in the textfield (and that works just fine), but I also want to change the font-size when I do that. I've tried using setTextFormat to a different TextFormat object, but that doesn't seem to work. Maybe someone has a better idea?
