i am taking video input directly input from the webcam, what i want to do is to chroma key the input and run it over another swf, but the problem is i am getting a white background after chroma keying. i have been reading many blogs about how to get it done using bitmap/pixels.but i am just an interaction designer and very bad at coding and stuff

I would like the video to have a black and white filter added to it. I've found a few tutorials on how to do it using fl.motion.Color, but I'm using Flex SDK to do the compiling. I do not own Flash. I have some experience with FMS and Red5 development for simple online video publishing application, I am not sure if FMS is viable for my new application). Here is the requirement
1. I need record real-time video to disk file from a 8-way video-capture-card.(the card is supported by FMS). The recording procedure starts just after the system startup without any manul operation by user. In another words, I need the recording procedure start with the Windows automatically without interaction
2. If the answer to my first question is YES, then: If the FMS record videos from a 8-way video-capture-card, with 640pxX480px each way. What is the minimal requirement on the hardware? A machine with 2.0GHz CPU with 512MB, is it enough?

I recently was sent the source to a set of Actionscript classes and libraries which allows flash devs to track faces in Flash by use of a computer's webcam. This is pre-written source that I am wanting to embed into a game I am designing so that when the person leans left or right, the character on screen will move left or right respectively.
Here's the problem, the face-tracking is working, but the video that is being pulled in from the webcam is reversed...it is not a true mirrored image. I'm assuming that there's a line of Actionscript in my code that needs to be modified so that the video is mirrored rather than be displayed reversed.I did some research and found a few solutions, but I haven't been able to successfully implement them...I don't know how. I've tried but I'm guessing I've inserted these lines of Actionscript into the wrong spot within my Main class. Here's the couple examples I've found:

The thing is, I have no clue how to get my flash animations onto a DVD.I have Flash MX, and I have been told to go to publish settings > convert in Flash 5 mode and to choose quicktime on the publishing list. But so far, this doesn't make a real video- it seems to still be a flash movie.
So please, how do I convert flash movies to video? And then to DVD. What free programs can make a full quality convertion? It goes without saying I need to get this done before a deadline,

What I would like to do is have it show a webcam image on screen (yup, i can do this bit), then when the user clicks a button, the video and audio from the camera is recorded and saved to their local machine (eg. the desktop). I'd prefer it to be an flv or f4v file, but any video format would do for now. I've seen examples of video being recorded only (basically grabbing a jpeg/png of each frame and using these, but this has no audio!) I've also seen mention off flash media server, but as this app will be going on over 100 pc's with no network/server connection - I cant see how the cost would work!! (100 x licences -
