I need to get the webcam input in my web app through web browser, encode it to h264 and stream it to our server. The flash client app works fine before the encoding problems involved. It seems that I could not access the video data from the camera object in flash actionscripts. could I? If not, Then I will try to write some browser plugin to do the quest. I will try activeX in IE but I'm new to it, are there some tutorials or sample code for the webcam input process in activeX?
How do i get the font to change when the user types encode in the Input box then presses enter and then it changes the font in the Output box (which is dynamic) and also embed the font in the output box. So when they type inteh input box the font changes in the Output box.
On (keyPress ("Enter") { if (_parent.Input.text == "encode") { tf = new TextFormat();
For an internal project we would like to play with building a video conferencing system.We are able to decide the browser that the user has to use and can install plugins. The only requirement is that the browser and plugins must be free and work over Linux and Mac.(Don't care about Windows)What is the best way to do access the webcam and mic stream from a user for sending to a server? Ideally I would like to do this plugin free but I can see no implementation of the devices tag in HTML5 in any browser yet, unless someone knows different.If its flash/silverlight, any quick examples of capture and sending to a server?lso any examples of streaming video from a server to a client would be useful, so we can stick it all together. This I know we can do in HTML5 so this would be a preference.
The client connection part is all I would need as we are building the server, this is the internal challenge.Basically I'm looking for good examples and best practices for sending and receiving this information.Edit: As I have discovered from some groups the device tag is no where near completion. So answers will have to be flash/silverlight (does that work on linux??).
I want to create a web application (I am quite good with PHP) that captures webcam shots every 1 minute from different persons that open the application page and sends it via smthng to the web/ftp server.I mean PC1, PC2 and PC3 opens the web aplication, their webcam it's opened and it captures images every 1 minute so PCSERVER should be able to see the persons behind the webcam "realtime".I read about Flash Video Server (hope I am quite around the words) but it's purchasable solution and I want to redistribute the application freely.
i'm developing a web site, and i'm trying to let the user record some video from his webcam. I'm using actionscript and flash media server. I got it work in my delevoper enviroment, but when i deployed it to the production server, the webcam can't get connected to the FMS. I'm afraid this is because of port blocking from the firewall. Does anyone knows wich ports are userd for recording from a browser by the Flash Media Server? I open the 1935 port in the Flas Media Server, but it still doesn't work.
What is the best (and simplest!) way to record video from a webcam to the local filesystem--all from a browser? Ideally the video would be recorded in HD and then we could use ffmpeg later to convert it into the formats and sizes needed.
Here are some things we've looked into:
Use Flash to stream to a local Red5 server. But we've had issues with video quality here. A Java applet using JMF (can we even write to the filesystem from an applet?). We've heard this might not be very efficient though. Can it handle HD? Write a custom Firefox plugin. Would this be very difficult?
Basically the hardest thing here is that the controls need to be embeddable into a browser. All we need is a box where the webcam frame is displayed to the user, and then some Javascript hooks so we can code start/stop buttons within the HTML page.
The computer is fully controlled (it's a kiosk) and we can do just about anything to it. We just need a solution that runs in the browser. Our current app is run in Firefox in kiosk mode and the webcam recording is just a part.
What I want to do is have control over the streams so I can send them wherever I want, have it interface w/a mic and cam, and the ability to capture and record them. At this point I don't have any specific specs or limitations. It will be used in a commercial project so the license must allow for that. Free and OSS is preferably, but commercial and proprietary is not out of the question if it's worth it.
I don't see html5 as a viable solution at this point so I'm assuming it's going to rely on flash which is fine, but I do not know actionscript. I'm not opposed to learning it, and assume I could pick it up fine within a week, but keep that in mind. If I have to build something myself from the actionscript libraries (I assume they provide enough functionality) I can do so, but I'm hoping for a quicker solution than that.
i am taking video input directly input from the webcam, what i want to do is to chroma key the input and run it over another swf, but the problem is i am getting a white background after chroma keying. i have been reading many blogs about how to get it done using bitmap/pixels.but i am just an interaction designer and very bad at coding and stuff
I am trying to publish the video of a webcam to a Flash Media Server 2.My code is working in the Flash standalone player (tested with 10.0 and 10.2), but not in the browser plugin (tested with 10.2, both in IE and Opera.The connection to my FMS is working successfully, but after the publish, nothing happens, I never get the NetStream.Publish.Start Event. On the server I can see the connection in the management console, even the stream in the streams tab. But I cannot connect to that strea.[code]
I want my site's users to be able to record videos straight from their webcams into my site. Videowhisper is one such tool which seems to work fine - [URL] But I'm looking for opinions on better / more scalable / reliable solutions. Paid solutions are fine.
We are going to be hosting some videos that will be streamed (not progressive download). Which is recommended? CBR (constant bit rate) or VBR (variable bit rate) encoding?
I'm trying to generate an embeded flash widget on a page with Python using a dynamic parameter. Here's the code I currently have.[code]...
The {{query}} parameter is passed through as a URL parameter. I'm not very technical, but I think the query value needs to be encoded for the flash to work. How do I encode the flash parameter?
Is it possible to record video through Flash's "Webcam" facility and receive encoded video on server side without any further processing (i.e. just saving the stream to a file)? Or is server side software always needed to encode the input? If server side software is necessary, are there free / Open Source solutions available?
I'm using AS3 to base64 encode a JPG and pass it to Javascript. I'm attempting to use AJAX to pass that base64 encoded string to PHP and have PHP decode it. (I know I could send it back to Flash and Flash could decode it and send it to PHP, but I'm trying to eliminate the need for Flash on the decoding end).It appears that AS3's encodeToBase64String() function and and PHP's base64_decode() function do not use the same algorithm, as PHP evaluates it as a base64 encoded object, but does not seem to output it properly
I have an AIR app that saves JPEG files to the hard drive. Currently, the jpegs are in RGB colorspace, but I am wanting them to be saved as CMYK jpegs. Is this possible in flash? If so, does anyone know of any libraries or examples that can help me with such a task?
I have an Adobe Air Flash, Action script 3.0 application. I need to save the webcam (or rather a series of bitmap as frames) to a video file. The video file needs to be compressed and needs to save as the frames go.
Is there an easy way in flash to HTML Encode a string? NOT URL Encode, has to be html encoded. Searched all over the shop, can't find any solutions to this problem on here, google or anywhere else.
I'm having a bit of trouble with flash cs3 video encoder. I'd like to encode some mpeg files to flv but I keep getting errors when trying to encode. The mpeg files are raw imported from my dvd video cam. I'm guessing they are mpeg-2 720 by 480 res. Quicktime files encode fine but I haven't tried any other video types. I thought it was a codec problem as all I use is vlc for video. So I tried k-lite codec pack nut no success, same errors. Just wondering if anyone had any advice. I suppose I could encode my mpeg files to mov first? But what encoder would I use to keep high quality?
We need send h264 from flash to Wowza and after to vlc by RTSP protocol. But if we send sound in Speex codec, we not listens sound. what it is possible to make?
I am trying to encode and stream live video. I have downloaded both the Flash Media Encoder and Flash Media Server. The problem i have now is, i can't able to connect to Flash Media Server. The FMS url is as default: rtmp://localhost/live. Do i have to purchase a FMS url? How do i make sure that my FMS is running/ activated?
I'm currently working on an image editor in Flash Player, and I need to be able to export CMYK images to my server. I'm completely new to color profiles and the like, and I was wondering how I could accomplish this. I am pretty sure all images in Flash Player are ARGB, so is there a way to convert the values properly?
I want to update a twitter status from a textbox in flash and use a button CLICK to pass the status to twitter. It goes like this:
[Code]...
The problem is in my languages we have 3 extra characters called. So in twitter I get this error message: Invalid Unicode value in one or more parameters So the problem is that I have to pass my String as utf-8, I think so at least. Is it a way to URL encode a String in as3?
I'm trying to build a fahrenheit to celsius convertor in AS3. How can I test to see whether what is input into a text input box (flash component) is not a number? This isn't correct but you can get an idea of what i'm trying to do:
if (celsius_txt.text == NaN || fahrenheit_txt.text == NaN) { //do something; }
i have an one input text box, first i type text into it and press space bar at this it will become empty and ready to accept next input from starting position, i make the text box empty by
textbox.text = "";
but the cursor not set to initial position in text box it consider "" as "space" and cursor will display after one space only, i need that cursor again move to starting position..
