Php :: Multiple Webcam Surveillance Within A Browser?
Aug 17, 2011
I want to create a web application (I am quite good with PHP) that captures webcam shots every 1 minute from different persons that open the application page and sends it via smthng to the web/ftp server.I mean PC1, PC2 and PC3 opens the web aplication, their webcam it's opened and it captures images every 1 minute so PCSERVER should be able to see the persons behind the webcam "realtime".I read about Flash Video Server (hope I am quite around the words) but it's purchasable solution and I want to redistribute the application freely.
For an internal project we would like to play with building a video conferencing system. We are able to decide the browser that the user has to use and can install plugins. The only requirement is that the browser and plugins must be free and work over Linux and Mac.(Don't care about Windows)What is the best way to do access the webcam and mic stream from a user for sending to a server? Ideally I would like to do this plugin free but I can see no implementation of the devices tag in HTML5 in any browser yet, unless someone knows different. If its flash/silverlight, any quick examples of capture and sending to a server?lso any examples of streaming video from a server to a client would be useful, so we can stick it all together. This I know we can do in HTML5 so this would be a preference.
The client connection part is all I would need as we are building the server, this is the internal challenge.Basically I'm looking for good examples and best practices for sending and receiving this information.Edit: As I have discovered from some groups the device tag is no where near completion. So answers will have to be flash/silverlight (does that work on linux??).
I need to get the webcam input in my web app through web browser, encode it to h264 and stream it to our server. The flash client app works fine before the encoding problems involved. It seems that I could not access the video data from the camera object in flash actionscripts. could I? If not, Then I will try to write some browser plugin to do the quest. I will try activeX in IE but I'm new to it, are there some tutorials or sample code for the webcam input process in activeX?
i'm developing a web site, and i'm trying to let the user record some video from his webcam. I'm using actionscript and flash media server. I got it work in my delevoper enviroment, but when i deployed it to the production server, the webcam can't get connected to the FMS. I'm afraid this is because of port blocking from the firewall. Does anyone knows wich ports are userd for recording from a browser by the Flash Media Server? I open the 1935 port in the Flas Media Server, but it still doesn't work.
What is the best (and simplest!) way to record video from a webcam to the local filesystem--all from a browser? Ideally the video would be recorded in HD and then we could use ffmpeg later to convert it into the formats and sizes needed.
Here are some things we've looked into:
Use Flash to stream to a local Red5 server. But we've had issues with video quality here. A Java applet using JMF (can we even write to the filesystem from an applet?). We've heard this might not be very efficient though. Can it handle HD? Write a custom Firefox plugin. Would this be very difficult?
Basically the hardest thing here is that the controls need to be embeddable into a browser. All we need is a box where the webcam frame is displayed to the user, and then some Javascript hooks so we can code start/stop buttons within the HTML page.
The computer is fully controlled (it's a kiosk) and we can do just about anything to it. We just need a solution that runs in the browser. Our current app is run in Firefox in kiosk mode and the webcam recording is just a part.
What I want to do is have control over the streams so I can send them wherever I want, have it interface w/a mic and cam, and the ability to capture and record them. At this point I don't have any specific specs or limitations. It will be used in a commercial project so the license must allow for that. Free and OSS is preferably, but commercial and proprietary is not out of the question if it's worth it.
I don't see html5 as a viable solution at this point so I'm assuming it's going to rely on flash which is fine, but I do not know actionscript. I'm not opposed to learning it, and assume I could pick it up fine within a week, but keep that in mind. If I have to build something myself from the actionscript libraries (I assume they provide enough functionality) I can do so, but I'm hoping for a quicker solution than that.
I am trying to publish the video of a webcam to a Flash Media Server 2.My code is working in the Flash standalone player (tested with 10.0 and 10.2), but not in the browser plugin (tested with 10.2, both in IE and Opera. The connection to my FMS is working successfully, but after the publish, nothing happens, I never get the NetStream.Publish.Start Event. On the server I can see the connection in the management console, even the stream in the streams tab. But I cannot connect to that strea.[code]
How do I download multiple files at once from a browser without combining them into single file? I found all kinds of multiple file uploaders, but downloaders are missing. There is only JUpload, but it's old and became buggy recently. I believe both Java and Flash can do this: select a folder at client's HD and download everything there.
Here's a simple problem I am having. I have a website made up from multiple swfs. Which open up over the index swf.
What I need to do is load 4 swf files into the memory so the transition between the page loads is smooth. The swfs are only a few kb in size but the delay in loading these (1 second) makes the transitions look very untidy. Once i've clicked on every section then the flashplayer has them stored in the cache so they run smooth, is there anyway just to load these in before the start page has loaded.
I have an external SWF which i load into my main SWF with URLloader.... that external SWF includes several FLV-movies. I´m not sure how they have been imported to that SWF, probably with FLV component.... but I´m not sure and I don´t have any idea of possible instance names either.....
My question is that can I still create a preloader that would load all used FLV-files into a cache, my goal is that user could start watching videos directly after pushing play button, without need to wait any buffering...
I know all the names and URLs of those FLV-files if that helps..I´m looking for actionscript 3 solution for my main SWF but if someone knows the way to do it with html-wrapper, that would do as well (I´m using SWFobject for html-wrapper)
I want my site's users to be able to record videos straight from their webcams into my site. Videowhisper is one such tool which seems to work fine - [URL] But I'm looking for opinions on better / more scalable / reliable solutions. Paid solutions are fine.
I made a game as the same site URL..Anyone knows how to prevent user open and play game on multiple browser windows at a time?I used flash control to embed flash into aspx page and connect to sql server
in other words, suppose I want to send data, like text, programmatically from a Windows app (such as a browser plugin) to a Flash app running in the browser. Well, conceptually, an example of this might be a Flash instant messenger with a textbox and button "Send"; so let's say I want to be able to programmatically paste the text and press Send or otherwise activate it. That's NOT what I am trying to do here in reality (i.e., no,I am not trying to spam other people's chat rooms or anything)but just an illustration of a similar situation.I can include in it whatever widget or hack that may be necessary. The reason why this problem is arising for me is that AFAIK the SDK that is providing me the data I want cannot be directly accessed from Flash, so I need a way to pipe the data from a regular app into Flash. can I have the Flash app interact with other apps through localhost IP? Or are there draconian restrictions on which server Flash in browser can and cannot interact?
I have a PHP mailer form on my site which needs to be published in action script2 to work, but I also have a script set up to open browser windows of a certain size & location which needs actionscript 1 to work? The PHP mailer form has a "Name" field, "Email" field & "Message" field, theses can all be reset with a button. The button clears off any text in the 3 boxes to wipe them clean. The script on the reset button is:
This works fine with section script 2 but not with as1. Does anyone know of a script that resets the .text field on as1 Alternatively is there any way of opening browser windows from a flash movie with browser win controls, eg. centre win, no scrollbars.
Trying to detect a browser close event and send some data to the database when the user closes the browser window...but can't seem to get it to work.[code]
I have looked around for this and haven't found a way that clearly explains how to do this. More often than not the button will close the browser window in one but not another browser.
Is the a simple way of closing a browser window in all types of browser ( Or mainly Firefox, IE and safari on both Mac and PC ) with actionscript?
I created a photo album viewer which grabs an XML file from my web site, and then parses the XML to get the paths to all the photos to be displayed by the album viewer. The code makes use of the URLLoader class to fetch the XML. The problem, though, is that in google Chrome it works-- but in IE8, it doesn't work. For example, the XML code and the image fetching code work seemlessly on Chrome. But in IE8 and in IE6, it seems to not be able to fetch such information.
I've read somewhere that you need a crossdomain.xml file at the root directory of your server. But I'm not crossing any domains! It's all coming from my server where the swf is being hosted!
[URL].. Anyone know the AS to make it automatically check the size of the browser for the listeners_notice when you resize the browser it works perfectly...but not when it first loads up.
often than not the button will close the browser window in one but not another browser. Is the a simple way of closing a browser window in all types of browser( Or mainly Firefox, IE and safari on both Mac and PC ) with actionscript?
To clarify when I ask about browser to browser communication I mean without a server in between forwarding message. I would like to implement something like this for a game. If p2p in websockets isn't possible are there similar alternatives?
I noticed I can't see my webcam anymore when I publish an exe file. There comes no dialog and I can't see the webcam picture. I even can't click the Preferences menu in the context menu.
I don't have my own Flash Media Server. I can however use the Highwinds CDN. They run FMS on their CDN. When you schedule a live event, Highwinds gives you two urls: the "server" and "stream name". Examples:
Is this possible to stream two webcam at same time in flash !?I want to use one to track a person from top and one for face detection ?!I just wonder am i able to use two webcam at same time in as3 or as2 !?
I'm trying to allow users to take pictures with their webcams and save it. How can this be done? I am looking for something similar to Facebook or dailybooth in terms of their UI. I know smoe PHP/jQuery but I'm also wondering how I could save the pictures once "taken"?
