I'm interested if it's possible to load 2 websites in the same flash page. For example in the left of the page we have [URL] and on the right side we have [URL]. And we can navigate on both of them simultaneously.
View 2 RepliesI have a an unobtrusive flash video looping in the background of a website, it is not essential to navigation - it is purely cosmetic.The flash video loops every 30 seconds.As this video is on all pages, it jumps back to the start when a new page is loaded.Is there an actionscript / javascript way to get it to remember the position it got to on the old page so it can start there on the new page?I do know that this can be accomplished by loading the flash movie in a frame as well as by having the subsequent pages load the contents in AJAX but I was hoping not to go down this route.I have seen other people ask the question and allude to the solution but they only posted that they got it to work without saying how.
View 1 RepliesIm working on a website for school, and im doing it through flash. The server ive been given is being taken up by thousands of pages, so its slow. Instead of loading each page through HTML, ive decided i could do a seperate frame for each page. However, to reach the menu at the bottom, you have to scroll down. Is there any way to make it so that when you click a button to load a different page for the flash player to scroll up all the way to the top of the page itself?

View 2 RepliesI have been seeking for months to try to put my flash animations in myspace blog but I haven't succeeded in doing that. I have tried to put the code source of the html document but it doesn't work . When I saw the animations pre-maded in websites for myspace , it's exactly the same code as I have saw in the code source of my html page. Why it doesn't work? I have tried to convert to anothers format, to put them in youtube , but it wasn't very good.

As you navigate through the site the url changes to reflect where you are in the swf.

View 9 RepliesI am very new to flash ads and we are on a new platform after a website redesign. I'm having trouble with flash display settings I'm guessing since the ad displays fine in IE, but not fine in Firefox and Chrome. Images to follow (for the curious it is a YWCA ad):

I know it's a pretty simple thing to do with Adobe Flash, but I'm kinda trying to get into the whole "HTML5 scene" so I thought I could try building it without using flash at all. But what I want that the first page will go up and the second page will come from the bottom as if the first page disappears to the top and the second page arrived from the bottom. View 2 RepliesI have 20 different flash files that i need to play randomly when a user enters a zip code. I am done with the project, but the way I have done it is I think could have been done a lot better. I have 20 different aspx files that have the flash object. I redirect users to different aspx files based on the random number using Random class. Is there a way to just have one aspx file where the param value and data could be passed using a variable. That way, its easier to maintain and i don't have to go to 20 different aspx files to update anything. Here is what the flash object looks like.

Is it neccesary to know HTML todesign complete flash based websites ?Ofcourse i know simple things like the index.html and adjusting borders etc within the html code. But i dont know exclusively how to make HTML standalone pages. Im basically a video edit guy and dont have much time to spend on learning HTML webdesigning.I propose to further study and polish my skills only in flash and stick to that area of specialization, ie.designing websites purely based on Flash. Is this OK. Are there designers like this who only specialize in flash websites without venturing into HTML ?
View 8 RepliesI am trying to include my Adobe Flash CS3 movies on my HTML websites. The website is validated XHTML 1.0 strict. It works fine in IE and is valid. (IE uses the OBJECT tag) In Firefox, I cannot have my movie since the EMBED tag is depreciated-If I do have the Flash movie included to work in Firefox, it will not validate since the EMBED tag is depreciated. Is there any way to have it work in FireFox and be XHTML 1.0 Strict valid? My URL is:(Flash on top)
