Feb 15, 2011I've made a website, [URL]. the stage size is 1000x590. this is big enough for most screens. but some small ones or if they have large amounts of toolbars, cut off the top and bottom of the stage. so what I want to do is, if some parts get cut off, I want scroll bars to appear so you can scroll and see all of the site. it seems to have been done on the [URL] website.

May 5, 2004I was wondering if its possible to make a website fall asleep when the focus is shifted away from the entire window.... so something like onBlur. I've seen this on a few websites and I got thinking how they did it. I'm guessing they have some kind of JavaScript code in their HTML page that can detect an onBlur or killFocus or whatever you call it - then the flash movie picks up on this and takes the appropriate action - like pauses a movie or displays a message "please come back" or things to that effect.
EXAMPLE: Go to [URL] and go to the WANDER AWAY section and click his links. Provided you have enough "money" (you can earn "money" by navigating around) you'll be taken to pixel ranger etc. Now click on the [URL] window and you'll see its been greyed out and is "asleep". You have to click the movie to awaken the site.

Feb 12, 2010I recently bought a flash template to use for my photography business. I really like it except the scroll behavior is absolutely terrible on monitors under 27 inches. It just goes straight to the bottom then snaps back up to the top, making it impossible to really view and click on the images in the bottom and center rows. The website is hereI emailed the company to ask them foron fixing this problem, but they've only said "We're investigating the problem" and its been nearly a week now. I would like to get it so the scroll is slower and is only activated at the edges of the window. Mar 27, 2009I am having trouble with the scroll bar component with a text field on a website. I made a text field and am dynamically loading html text into the field. On one page I have a single text field with a single html document loaded into it. On another page I have a single text field that has buttons to swap out the html documents to view different docs. When test the movie in Flash everything works fine. When the files are uploaded online the text scroll bars disappear on both pages for the single doc and the other page with multiple docs, and I can't scroll them.

Jun 3, 2011I am loading a different external SWF into each one using Load External SWF behavior.Although each SWF is a different file, they are exact copies of each other (have exact same functionality); all 3 are text boxes with both scrollbar scrolling and mousewheel scrolling.Problem is, when on the stage at the same time, they all three respond to mousewheel scroll at the same time. I need them each to respond to users' mousewheel scroll only if the mouse is over the respective area (so that way they don't all scroll at the same time).The file was developed for me and the developer is not available at this time.

Apr 20, 2009I wrote a short AS program to create a tileList and it functions fine, but I need to be able to scroll the list of pics according to the position of the mouse with out actually moving the scroll bar.... example of what I mean: the farther to the right mouseX is on stage, the faster my tileList scrolls to the right, if mouseX moves to the left of the stage, so does the scroll bar...Here`s my code so far:

I found several tutorials on creating the custom scrollBar, however, they don't include the buttons and I'm unable to find a tutorial on how to create a button scroller (I figured I could link them both to my "info_txt" after creating them separately).

Apr 14, 2010scroll pane loads scroll bars for the movie clip as soon as it loads the movie clip, so there is no scroll bars the movies height and width are one, but after its loaded it changes its size to bigger than the scroll pane, but the scroll bars dont show up because of the size of the movie clip when it was first loaded, can anyone help?
