Aug 28, 2009I have a problem with Flash Player 9. I have developed a flash application (projector) in Flash CS3 using AS2 . I can compile it into Flash 9 projector, but when I do that, it will not run FSCOMMAND("FULLSCREEN", true); anymore. I wonder why this is as such.
When I read through some help resources, somewhere it says that FSCOMMAND is not supported in FP9 because of some security reasons and it says that I should use External Interface API instead.
If I have to use External Interface whatever remember that I am working with flash projector (exe), not in a browser. I use "trapallkeys" to stop people from pressing ESC and CTRL-F to quit fullscreen mode. However, ESC and CTRL-F still work if I put "trapallkeys" above "fullscreen".
So the problem is, I only able to use either one, not both. This is really strange.
I could not make "showmenu", "false" to work either.

Jun 20, 2011I am trying to use the Flash + Set the browser to a desktop agent on the Galaxy Tab.

mWebview.getSettings().setPluginsEnabled(true);
So the issues is, when the UserAgentString param is enabled, flash player wont load as many websites like Iplayer don't recognise the browser in the WebView.
This may be a bug in the Samsung browser. Anyone have any desktop agents that the WebView will accept whilst enabling flash?

Nov 5, 2009The project is a keyframe based presentation and I'm an actionscript novice. It is to run, full screen, as an executable off a CD ROM and there are 4 .flvs in the executable. Here is my code for the first frame which contains opening video, and it works fine (sadly a simple fscommand fullscreen from as2 won't work). Problem is, I get black screens & weirdness when I try to use stageDisplayState and fullScreenTakeOver's on the frames that contain the other 3 videos.

Sep 6, 2007I normally do a CD for a convention twice a year, and this year was different. As usual things gets down to the very last minute with changes, but normally we don't encounter any problems with the opening of powerpoint presentations from within a flash, with the fscommand, as long as all the presentations and software are on the fscommand folder.
But yesterday I just couldn't make it work. I thought at first that was a vista thing, that wont let you run a cmd.exe window from flash, but then I realized it was happening, even after burning the CD in almost any enviroment. I tried changing the publishing parameters to flash player 7, 8 and 9, and try to publish it with action script 1 and action script 2 in all the possible combinations. Then i got smart and republished one I knew that worked, and it stop working.

Aug 23, 2011I prepared a footer for a website and have the following issue:There are two buttons on footer bar that interests us. One is fullscreen - clicked activates fscommand function. But fscommand works only when I debug my fla. Otherwise, nothing happens. There's an additional variable that shows if fullscreen is active - nothing happens.There's also a "coder" info. I wanted to use navigateToURL function for "mailto:..." adress, but nothing happens, even if if changed it to [URL] adress. I got 2 questions, first, this works good when i drag and stopdrag correctly(the requirements in the if are fullfilled). but if the requirements are not fullfilled i get an error saying that the place i'm referring to cant be null. I know that the problem lies after the || part but dont know how to resolve it. 2nd, isnt there a shorter way of doing these checks? Atm i'm going through alot of parents and getchildats and was wondering if there was another way.

Aug 15, 2006i got an image gallery that reads data from an xml file. this xml formatted data is from a php file. when i open the gallery it loads the 1st image; when i click next it loads the 2nd and so forth... but as soon as it has loaded all the images once, it gets stuck. i dont know what to do. when i had the gallery read directly from an .xml file things were working fine but as soon as it was data from a php file that was xml formatted this problem started to occur.

I have it setup so that when my (home-brewed) server receives "<policy-file-request/>" I send back the xml data, which worked perfectly with Flash Player 9, but does not work with 10.Does the policy file itself need to be changed or can I no longer send it the way I am (and instead use that port 843 method) ?

Mar 29, 2010I have a weather applet using Flash and XML, its works great, but for some reason when i use a LoadMovie action to pull the SWF into my flash movie, it doesnt work. When i view the Weather.swf on my webserver it works just right. but when i pull Weather.Swf into Home.Swf it doesnt work.[code]i have a MC container on my stage called weather.i think for some reason when embedded its not reading the XML, any ideas?

Jul 14, 2010i am developing a game with flash.. the data for this game is saved in sharedobject.. in my computer it runs ok, but when i gave it into my friend, first it run ok, but later after i make some changes (the saving code is the same) it cant save anymore, as if the sharedobject can't be flushed. but it run fine in my computer. later on i check "global storage setting" for my friend flash player, actually it has allocate 100kb for local.
