ActionScript 3.0 :: Fullscreen Doesn't Work - Fscommand Works Only When Debug Fla
Aug 23, 2011
I prepared a footer for a website and have the following issue:There are two buttons on footer bar that interests us. One is fullscreen - clicked activates fscommand function. But fscommand works only when I debug my fla. Otherwise, nothing happens. There's an additional variable that shows if fullscreen is active - nothing happens. There's also a "coder" info. I wanted to use navigateToURL function for "mailto:..." adress, but nothing happens, even if if changed it to [URL] adress. Also debugger doesn't activate it.I tested it in browser, completely nothing happens. There's the code, works without any "addons":
The project is a keyframe based presentation and I'm an actionscript novice. It is to run, full screen, as an executable off a CD ROM and there are 4 .flvs in the executable. Here is my code for the first frame which contains opening video, and it works fine (sadly a simple fscommand fullscreen from as2 won't work). Problem is, I get black screens & weirdness when I try to use stageDisplayState and fullScreenTakeOver's on the frames that contain the other 3 videos.
I have a problem with Flash Player 9. I have developed a flash application (projector) in Flash CS3 using AS2 . I can compile it into Flash 9 projector, but when I do that, it will not run FSCOMMAND("FULLSCREEN", true); anymore. I wonder why this is as such.
When I read through some help resources, somewhere it says that FSCOMMAND is not supported in FP9 because of some security reasons and it says that I should use External Interface API instead.
If I have to use External Interface whatever remember that I am working with flash projector (exe), not in a browser. I use "trapallkeys" to stop people from pressing ESC and CTRL-F to quit fullscreen mode. However, ESC and CTRL-F still work if I put "trapallkeys" above "fullscreen".
So the problem is, I only able to use either one, not both. This is really strange.
I could not make "showmenu", "false" to work either.
I normally do a CD for a convention twice a year, and this year was different. As usual things gets down to the very last minute with changes, but normally we don't encounter any problems with the opening of powerpoint presentations from within a flash, with the fscommand, as long as all the presentations and software are on the fscommand folder.
But yesterday I just couldn't make it work. I thought at first that was a vista thing, that wont let you run a cmd.exe window from flash, but then I realized it was happening, even after burning the CD in almost any enviroment. I tried changing the publishing parameters to flash player 7, 8 and 9, and try to publish it with action script 1 and action script 2 in all the possible combinations. Then i got smart and republished one I knew that worked, and it stop working.
But my proublem is that I have a flash presentation. The defalt for moving the slide screens back and forth are left and right arrows. It works fine when tested or even the .swf fileBut then the left and right buttons don't respond when I go to fullscreen.
in the 2nd i read the XML and send to the 3rd frame and play a FLV movie. when the FLV movie ends, if goes back to the 2nd frame to "know" what is the next movie and goes again to the 3rd frame.
When i export everything is OK, when i publish and use the Mac Projector it is ok. But if i use the Fullscreen Mode, when the movie end's the Movie doesnt go back to the 2nd frame...
The following problem occured when I tried to view my flash project in full screen mode: When I applied a glowfilter to an movie object it didn't show when I run it, so I tried to do this with actionscript. It worked when I watched my flashmovie as swf in normal screen mode. But when I wanted to watch it full screen, the glow-script didn't seem to work anymore?
I have a box ("bg_box") that I resize and move up and down using the tween class based on what button you select. Once it is resized the text ("textBox") for that box fades on. It works fine on all the other buttons except for one! I added in a scrollpane with a strip of photos ("gross_scroll") on the button that doesn't seem to want to work. It is just a basic _alpha tween so I am not sure why that would cause a problem.
The weirdest thing is that it only has an issue the first time the button is clicked. It skips the tween and just jumps right to the size and position it should be. Once you click on another button and click on the troublemaker again, it works just fine.
Here is my code:
Code: easeType = mx.transitions.easing.Strong.easeOut; var box_start = bg_box._yscale; var box_end = 100;
I have a presentation with two set of buttons.Clicking on the set which is on the Frame (2) Should redirect to the set of buttons Frame (3),(4),(5),(6),(7)As you can see in the image, the (2) gives the order to go to the next (3) and it works. But when it goes from (2) to (5) or (6) or (7) then the second set of buttons don't work anymore.[URL]
I'm making a flash movie project, the stage size is 600x800. When I use fscommand to make the flash projector fullscreen it shows everything, including out of stage things. How do I get the projector to only show the stage Fullscreen? PS: An answer in AS 3.0 would be fine to! As 2 is preferable!
trying to create a character selection screen type thing works fine on my computer but when i load it to internet characters dont load up dont understand why characters and profile images are external image files so i think that reason why its not working is because the swf is trying to display the image before its properly loaded up
so im thinking perhaps if i add some sort of bytes total/bytes loaded script where its trying to load up and display the image it will check if the image is fully loaded before it tries to display the image think that will work ... if that's what the issue is but not certain.
What happen is that i have a quit button and when it is clicked: fscommand("quit"); will execute. However for some reason, it only works sometime and at other time, it has no effect.
So, anyway, this is the code: In the menu: package { import flash.display.MovieClip; import flash.display.SimpleButton; import flash.events.MouseEvent; import flash.ui.Mouse; [Code] .....
i just installed an ati radeon7000 32 bit graphics card into my G4 tower so i can run 2 monitors--what i want to do is have my small monitor serve as the desktop where i can control what is being viewed on the second monitor: when the small monitor is set in the control panel as being the menu bar, then when a .swf or projector set to 'fullscreen' launches, it fills the screen on the small monitor but not the second monitor.
how can i set it so that whatever is launched from the small screen will appear in the second/larger monitor? (i want the menu bar and dock to be on the small monitor, so that it is hidden from view on the second monitor) i know i can do this in javascript, but i'd like to keep it on the desktop without having to use a browser-- using the fscommand to set the xy coords, or somehow target the second monitor?
I have an FLVPlayback component instance on my stage, into which I load videos based on button presses. When I create a .swf of my project though, if I use
I get unexpected behavior. What should happen is the file loads, everything is centered, and the area around the project is whatever the background color is.This sort of works .. until the first FLV is played. The FLV gets scaled to 100% (fullscreen)and if I hit "esc" I go back to the "normal" sized player, but if I then maximize the window (almost the same as fullscreen), the entire flash player now decides to scale, not just the FLV playback component
I'd like to be able to have my windows projector file to take up the entire screen when it's loaded (without being scaled), but this doesn't seem possible. Any ideas what's going on? Regarding the FLVPlayback component, I've tried everything to make it fit and not scale ....set height, width, set scale to "noScale", set registrationHeight, registrationWidth, etc. Nothing works.
I could succesfully open a external pdf with the following command in Flash cs3 on a Mac: fscommand("exec", "test.app");test.app (inside an fscommand folder) is an apple script that opens the pdf inside the fscommand folder, to make it work I needed to copy the fscommand folder into the MacOs Folder of the Mac Projector File. The same steps don't seem to work with Flash cs5. I can't downgrade my cs5 project to cs3.Is this problem a bug in Flash cs5?
Is there any way to debug fullscreen mode? I Ctrl+enter and I see the swf but the fullscreen button never works, like when I forgot the allowFullScreen param in my HTML code.Do I have to add some parameter to the CS5 properties?
I use Flash debug local and remote without any problem.Today I update Flex and I deselected the options "update flash 9".Then I go to debug a project in Flash CS4.But now debug doesn't works.I reinstall flashplayer_10_ax_debug.exe and nothing change. When I run in browser the menu option "Debugger"(right-click) doesn't appears.
When the loader finishes, it send the data to a plotter function. the plotter function clears the graphics in a shape called graphLine. It then draws a line from one plot point to another using the lineTo function.Basically ever 3 second it makes this request and redraws the screen and updates the value of a textfield to the current y value. In flex builder 3, it works great in debug mode. The screen updates just fine. However, when I make the release build and test it out in a browser, it loads the data fine, but will not draw it until I stop the graphing process. Here's the code for the graphing function
Code: public function graphData(data:Array):void {
I have simple navigation code setup to step through frames (I'm using Flash instead PowerPoint--too many pictures that are PSDs and illustrations that are AIs to do the conversions over to something PowerPoint understands).[code]When I test it using the debug (Ctrl+Shift+Enter) it works fine. When I publish it, the up and down arrows work but the Home and End keys do not work. They do nothing, no error messages, nothing.Using Flash CS4 Pro 10.0.2 ActionScript 3. Windows 7 64-bit.
My Flex application is successfully calling functions in a JavaScript file through the ExternalInterface class when these are in the bin-debug folder and the JS file is located in the same directory as the Flex app.But when I test the Flex app on the server, it is not interacting with the JavaScript. The only difference I can find is that on the remote server the JS file is being pulled in from a URL, instead of locally. The JS file URL is in the same domain as the Flex application, therefore I don't think this is a cross-domain issue. What am I missing?
I created a swf movie which contains a button with this action:
[Code]...
then i published this movie to an *.exe program (projector). In it's folder i've created another folder named 'extra', which contains program 'start1.exe'. but program 'start1.exe' doesn't load, when i click the button.. is there something i don't know?
I've just stumbled upon a case when Flash app freezes in production Flash Player and works smoothly in a debug version. It doesn't throw any errors or exceptions. Has anyone ever encountered anything like this? Why is it happening or how one is supposed to debug in such case? And a side question - what exactly is different in debug version from internal point of view? Any good writeup on the topic?
UPDATE:I didn't mention, but the trouble is with Flash Player 11, it probably matters, cause Flash Player 10 doesn't have any problems with the same code.
I have firefox 3.6.15 with flash debug version 10.3. whenever an error occurs a popups comes up with the error and a stack trace but it does not line numbers of each leaf in the stack trace which makes it more difficult to debug. how to configure it to actually show line numbers ?
I think it may relate to how I compile my flash application. (i think!) i use eclipse FDT 4.2 to compile and i added the following compiler flags: -debug=true -compiler.verbose-stacktraces i think these parameters should be enough but I may be wrong.
I decided to try to use setInterval for myanimation, which is just a mouse trail. However, I'm trying to get teh mouse trail to be a dynamic mask.In my previous swf this was achieved by using a holder mc with the animation inside and then using this as the mask. But this time I just canpt seem to hit on the right way to get it to work. The code I am using for the mouse trail is:
Code: var i:Number = 0; var myInt:Number; var t:MovieClip;[code].....
in the function, but now the trail doesn't resize and the mask still doesn't work.
I have a button object that I need to scale to align with the variable width of an array of images. However, when I set the width in code, the button does not actually become that width. Tracing out the width gives me the correct value, but on screen.. it's off.
I've proved it to myself by scaling the same button object manually in the properties pane and visually comparing. Both of the buttons below have a width of 410.
