ActionScript 3.0 :: Use One Html Page To Load Multiple Swf Files?
Apr 7, 2011
I'm trying to use one html page to load multiple swf files and I can't figure out the correct code to do it.Basically, each main page in my navigation is a separate swf.I need the swf files to be able to load seamlessly over one another.
I have got 3 swf files scene1, scene2 and scene3. Out of which scene2 and scene3 are embedded inside html files named scene2.html and scene3.html. I also want to include pre-loader at every intervals between the scenes, since the total file size including images and scripts is around 4mb.
I need to allow users to preview audio files for purchasing. I have CF pages that return records form a SQL database. Each record contains the same swf file however, each swf file points to a different mp3 for previews of different audio examples. So far, everything is working fine. My problem is that I need to be able to stop the sound from one swf when I click to play a second swf .The only solutions I see in Flash forums deal with loaded swf files. These are not loaded files they are separate files within a page. The question is: How do control one swf from another swf in the same page. The following items have not worked: soundChannel.stop();,soundMixer.stopAll()
Was just wondering if its possible to have a two swf files on the same html page that can communicate to each other.
I have one movie that asks a series of question and what I'd like to happen is for those results to be shown in the 2nd swf. Sounds simple, which means it probably isnt
i saw source codes of a [URL],i downloaded all swf files and linked them to my page but i cant view the pre-loader and my page just typically loads. i downloaded: swfobjects.js, swfaddress.js and Blade.swf. i used
If someone provides me the FLV with the support SWF files and HTML page (so that the movie is embeded on the HTML page with the skin controls)...and I need to rename the movie from what they sent it as...will I also need the native FLA? Do I simply rename the HTML page to the desired link name for brand consistency on my website, will that solve the problem without needing the FLA?
I have two separte flash files on the same html page... I want to be able to click a button in one flash file that affects the timeline in a separte flash file on the same page. Is this possible?
I'm trying to put together a flash portfolio which contains a page with multiple swf files loaded externally, I've managed to follow a tut and works fine..except, the loaded swf video loop, and as I navigate to other pages the sound plays through. I tried the unloadAndStop technique which helped but didnt stop the loop, i even added a
I'm trying to post multiple .swf objects into one html page. The first .swf object plays fine, but the second one does not load. My page is [URL]
Dreamweaver tells me that swfobject.registerObject does not exist, or something like that, but I see this code being used elsewhere. I have swfobject.js in my main folder, too.
I currently embed a swf video on an html page with this script:
<script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> window.onload = function() { if (swfobject.hasFlashPlayerVersion("9")) { var att = { data:"player_3982x260_fv4.swf", width:"640", height:"323" }; var par = { menu:"false", allowfullscreen:"true" };
[Code]...
I've attempted a few different ways to embed two SWFs in the html but havent had any luck. Here's the test page I'm working on: [URL]... How would the window.onload = function() be changed to refference two different swfs?
Looking for thoughts and ideas on establishing communication between isolated SWFs residing in a single HTML page. Need to place multiple SWFs in a single HTML page and was wondering if there was some way to send commands from one of the movies to the other wihtout reloading the page. (would prefer not to reload the page and all the components and have the page "blink" - go blank before loading new and cached data) Unfortunately cannot build this as a single flash object with multiple MCs.. must be multiple SWFs.
Have an idea or two on how to set this up with HTML framesets and loading subpages ( a cheat certainly and far less than elegant) but would prefer not to deal with the heartache that would entail - especially since areas of the page would still "blink" on loading.
I have a strange problem: When I type the absolute URL to my SWF file it works fine; however, only the background image appears when the SWF is embedded in the home page.
I have 3 seperate .swf on a single html page which are all communicating with FMS on separate connections. Do you think there will be any stability issues? or connection issues. All the .swf use the same main.asc. There are no apparant problems so far just need an expert opnion.....a side note is I've also noticed an error in the error logs that says its detected a backwards time stamp when recodring. Whats that all about? The application seems fine. Using FMS 3.0
I know of flashvars, but how would one send a variable into a swf and then for instance change the variables value and then pass it into the swf again?
I'm setting up an HTML page that automatically starts playing a flash video. Well at the bottom of that page - is an area with testimonials thumbnails that the user can click on loading up a small flash video in that component. Is there a way to tell the main video to pause or restart or whatever so that I don't have two videos playing at once

I did a tut from actionscript.org about chromeless windows. It works fine but I would like to launch multiple chromeless windows from one html page. I pasted the script two times, added the correct addresses and now one button is launching the page behind the other button and the other button isn't working
I have a flash movie that loads another movie into a place holder container upon opening. So, 2 swf files - one is the main movie and the other the one that loads into the main movie. Works just fine when testing in flash or clicking on the swf files outside of flash. But when I embedd the main movie into my html page - the main movie loads ok, but it doesn't load the child movie. I have both swf files in the directory so I am not getting why it works fine except when placing into html page.
I've developed a system that uses SWFUpload to easily allow the user to upload multiple files with a progress bar showing them the upload progress. It all works fine in my development environment, but is failing for some users in the wild with the Flash movie not loading. I can see the Flash movie is there, if I right click it a window appears saying Movie not loaded... (Then on the next line) About Adobe Flash Player 10...So far I've not been able to determine what was causing the failure. Are there any other alternatives to SWFUpload that will allow for:
does anyone know how to display an external side inside a movieclip? I'm looking to have a movieclip basically load an html page (but i dont want the external html to replace all the swf content, I just want it to replace the movieclip loading it) not sure if this is possible
I'm trying to get a .swf (a game, with three total .swf files: main, title, game) onto my site and am having a problem. I understand how to actually do it and make it run (publish as HTML, copy/paste code in Dreamweaver, etc..), but my problem is having multiples .swf files and them not loading. When I embed code for one of the files, the page will play that .swf file and won't load the next .swf file (Main just contains a loader that loads title, Title will load the game .swf when prompted, Game will run). If I just 2x click the .swf files in my folder it will work, as will an .exe, but can I make it so each .swf file will play in HTML?
I have two external swf files which I need to load to the main page of the website, one is the about page which consist mostly of text, the other is an image gallery. Both of them have the same intro animation at the beginning.
My problem is, while testing the main page using bandwidth profiler, the about page loads beautifully, while the image gallery plays its animation first before it even finalizes to load the whole page.
