ActionScript 3.0 :: Xml Won't Load / Get Error Loading Xml File Into Firefox

I have a simple xml file that I'm using to load images.[code]I'm using the name of the base tag as the name of the nav to load the images. So from the xml above the nav button would be "travel & lifestyle".I know flash removes the whitespace but what if I want whitespace there.The xml won't load and I get an error loading the xml file into Firefox"XML Parsing Error: not well-formed"How can I format the xml to keep the space.

Whenever a picture is supposed to load it shows a NaN% ( not a number ) I'm guessing something is wrong with my loader scripting. The pictures still load but there is no bar so when A client loads the large high res version they have no idea if its loading and the blow up effect I have just shrinks to 0.0 on the screen. I've been up all night

I have a basic site for an old age home. Recently I decided to put a Flash Movie on the Homepage but even though all files are loaded and links correct it won't show in either IE or Firefox...
The movie should be loading here (...bellvilleseniorsentrum.com/engels/home.html)
There is a white space where the movie should be loading... But it doesn't...
I've done lots of sites with the same kind of movies and they all work fine... But this ons just doesn't work. It views fine when I test it on my computer but as soon as I load it - nothing...

I have run into a problem with the URLLoader that I havent encountered before. I have reviewed my code several times and maybe I am missing something.
Basically, I have a separate loader class that I want to communicate to a php file located in the same directory. That php file forms an xml markup within and returns the location of a background image from the database. As you can see from the code, I have event listeners for progress, loaded, and IOerror.
This works fine in IE and Chrome. However in FF and Opera, my custom progress bar shows 100%, but the info bar shows "IO Error" (which is kind of a visible trace statement on the swf for informational purposes) and it does not go anywhere.

I was trying to load a swc file on on demand basis and it was working fine untill i upgraded my IE from IE7 to IE8 . Iam getting the following error. why Iam getting the following error.

I want to descripbe my Problem by steps, just to be clear and everyone can understand the issue:
1- I want to load a flv file (using ActionScript 3.0)
2- This flv or flash movie file is inside a movie clip and this one is also inside another movie clip.
2.1 - So, a (movie clip that contain the flv)--> inside -->( the main movie clip).
3- when I test the movie I get the folowing error and the video is not playing:
Error #2044: NetStatusEvent non pris en charge : level=error, code=NetStream.Play.StreamNotFound at index_fla::About_8/index_fla::frame1()
4- I'm using a Video object from the library instead of the component and give it the instance name of myVideo.
5- Here is the code I'm using:

I need to load a dictionary into a game I'm making. It resides in a very large (on the order of 2.81 MB) XML file. While trying to load it, I get an error stating that the script has run for more than 15 seconds. Is there any way I can change the default timeout to allow the file to load?

This is really irritating me. In ruby it is very simple to load an mp3 file via its file class and manipulate it, even play it. (Yes, I am aware that this is as3 ).According to what the stdlib documentation says I should be able to use:

how to load an external .swf flies with a load bar? from the main.swf
Situation : i have a main.swf fle and i have a button on the main stage containing the code :

Situation offered : you can say put a loading bar on the pics.swf flie , so that when it loads it shows the loading bar.
Ans to the offered situation Well i completely denied the idea of loading pics.swf file with containing the load bar inside the pics.swf movie.
Solution required: i want to load the pics.swf (external file) from main.swf file with having the loading bar inside the main.swf file.

I am trying to load an external swf file. It loads just fine, but when I try to attach it to the stage, it completely overwhelms the parent swf as if it was on top of everything. It also occurs when I attach it to a movieClip. Again, nothing is clickable on the parent swf (even at places, where the moveClip isn't on). When I used an event listener to attach it, nothing got displayed at all.Here is the code:

I have my preloader loading my main swf where I'm loading another swf that contains a background.
When my preloader is done it shows my main swf but it takes a while after that for the background to load.

I have created a preloader, and I want to tell the action script of the preloader once the file is done loading, put it away and load a new movie, or even a new flash file if i have to.here is the action script i have on the loader right now. Its just numbers counting from 1-100% and a .gif clip that plays but they are not connected in any way.

I am creating a website in Flash and getting error #1009 in Firefox and IE on pc only (all browsers on mac are fine). If I remove all of the buttons that appear within the site (everywhere except Frame 1), the problem disappears, but I need to have those internal links. I have tried hiding the buttons in Frame 1, adding the code for them in the actions layer of Frame 1, and then duplicating them on other pages, to no avail. This is the end of a multi-month project, and now I'm unexpectedly totally stuck
