I am loading a flash program, with an automatic redirect to a frame (frame 2, in this case). Each frame has a different menu system on it, linking to a URL.
However with firefox the first two elements of this frame does not show up. Very frustrating.

I am creating a website in Flash and getting error #1009 in Firefox and IE on pc only (all browsers on mac are fine). If I remove all of the buttons that appear within the site (everywhere except Frame 1), the problem disappears, but I need to have those internal links. I have tried hiding the buttons in Frame 1, adding the code for them in the actions layer of Frame 1, and then duplicating them on other pages, to no avail. This is the end of a multi-month project, and now I'm unexpectedly totally stuck
View 3 RepliesI'm creating a video site using the flvPlayback component and telling it which video to play based on flashvars. So far everything is working well in all the browsers I've tried except Firefox on the PC. In FF/PC it hangs on the first frame of the video while showing the buffering indicator.

I have the newest firefox and the flash debug version. Whenever there is an flash error happen, the error message window popup, and then my firefox freeze immediately. It seems like the problem only happen on debug version of flash. I searched online, people said change the Code:dom.ipc.plugins.timeoutSecs to -1 will fix the problem, but I tried, it doesn't really fix it. Anyone know anything I could try to fix it?
View 0 Repliesim doing a website and using a flash header. this has some movie clips and it needed a loader. in Firefox it will lock up when clicking from page to page and stop on the full loader bar. im using cs3 master collection and as3 the website is paradisebeergarden.ph this is driving me nuts as it is only doing this in Firefox!

I'm working on a website in php made for local Thai people. The website somehow uses links with Thai characters in them. The problem is when I click the link in flash it navigates to instead of "http://localhost/THAI TEXTS-108-0-region-3.html". When I tested this with Internet Explorer, it understands the unicode text in a link and navigate me to the correct link. In fact the flash understands the thai unicode characters because when I tried to create a dynamic text field, it could print out the correct thai characters on the flash.So it seems to be that this is the problem with flash failing to talk to Firefox API. I'm guessing either URLRequest object or navigateToURL function does not take unicode texts

Whenever a picture is supposed to load it shows a NaN% ( not a number ) I'm guessing something is wrong with my loader scripting. The pictures still load but there is no bar so when A client loads the large high res version they have no idea if its loading and the blow up effect I have just shrinks to 0.0 on the screen. I am scripting in an Actionscript 3.0 file, not in the timeline itself. I'm creating a point and click adventure where player move through different scene by clicking on the environment like normal point and click adventure game. I currently have only 2 frames. I put different scenes on different frame where player click the environment to move to that frame. However, when I put interactable movieclips and buttons in addEventListener on frame 2, I get:

i'm planning on programming an animation but i wanted to set up the card side of things so i made a start and it provides this annoying error. and its causing my mc's not to change frame sometimes. here's my script.

View 3 RepliesI have a flash file where the first frame contains two buttons, one of which takes the user to the second frame, and the other takes them to the third frame. At each of those frames, various text fields and variables can be manipulated via SimpleButtons. Both Frame 2 and Frame 3 have "back" buttons to take them back to Frame 1.
Currently when the user navigates back to Frame 1 for the second time (thus playing it for a third time), my second button appears to no longer exist, and I receive an error. Both buttons on Frame 1 were placed via the Flash IDE. Why is my button popping out of existence, when it did perfectly fine the previous two times? Below is my code for Frame 1. The "back" buttons simple remove event listeners and then call gotoAndStop(1)

On one frame of the Main Timeline I have a bunch of display objects that carry out functions and whatnot. When the frame changes to the next one, they are all removed and no longer exist on the new frame. However, I still get this error:

The thing is that myObject isn't even on the stage during this frame. But for some reason it seems like the ENTER_FRAME (eFrame) function is being carried out every frame. But if I were to throw a trace() in there, the trace wouldn't appear in the output (obviously because the object isn't on stage).
I am a flash amateur. I have a movie clip in frame 1. The movie clip is a series of images that is similar to Apple's wait mouse cursor. I have written the following script hoping it will act as a preloader.

So the problems only appears when I'm on the second frame (Home), and only when I'm resizing the window (the border of the white frame stays visible from every bit of resizing, it won't disappear).
The following scripts are for a Load then Grow Frame Function I am using in Flash MX for jpg images (for a photography site). However I noticed that it doesn't work well in Netscape (pc and mac) and Ie (mac). It only works well on IE (pc).The problem is with the photo frames. They reset to the corner of the site with no picture when a thumbnail is clicked. This is my site where I am having the problem:
