Convert A PDF To Like A Flash Magazines?
Jan 21, 2010I need to convert a PDF to like a flash magazines? Is there any applications that allows you to convert these and export them into standalone flash magazines?

May 21, 2009I am a designer using InDesignCS4 to export a 16 page document as a SWF file with a page curl page transition. I am also exporting a static footer bar that holds a client logo and website address that acts as a hyperlink to the client's website. I currently place these 2 SWF files in Dreamweaver, 16pager above the footer, 1 above the other, and save as .html, upload to an ftp site to get the whole thing to work as a FlippingBook page curl Digital Magazine with static footer bar and hyperlink that directs to the clients website to download the corresponding PDF and print.
I am no Flash developer, but what I would LIKE to do is export from InDesignCS4 as an Adobe Flash CS4 Pro (XFL) document, open up in Flash where I know each spread imports as its own frame, save as a new .fla file, create some great Text effects with actionscript, which I CAN do. But what I can't do is export this as a SWF file AND retain the page curl transition it would have had as a SWF from InDesign??? Is there a way, despite handing over to 'my' Flash developer to encode (according to every video tutorial I have seen on the subject!), where I can 'stitch these page frames together to export my frames from flash with page curl, have the footer bar independently at the bottom, have the whole thing scale as one flash animation but also include some features such as print, zoom and 'goto' page field? At the moment all this appears to be alot of coding work.

They attempt to replicate a print mag onscreen, but I find their "specail features" annoying, so I like to download a PDF for offline viewing. For the last month or two, every time I try to print to a PDF from one of these digital magazines, I get a gray screen saying Flash has crashed. If I try to download the PDF, a new tab opens in my browser but the PDF doesn't load, the screen remains black. Reloading the page, closing and restarting the browser doesn't help.

I don't have the server info yet, but I believe I'm pretty close to solving this on the flash end of things, as far as sending out the url with the total number correct appended.I'm getting the following error.

I have a Flash program that is mostly a collection of SWF files. It does, however, contain some Actionscript, Javascript and other integrated languages here and there..
I would like to convert this project/program to an iPad application. Is it possible?
What I got from searching the net:
Converting Actionscript to LUA script
Using Corona SDK to port the program to iOS
Starting a new iOS project in flash and moving the code somehow..
Other tedious ways which are not feasible at all....
The above mostly handles the actionscript part .. what about the SWF files?
As a last resort, one could at least guide me to a developer/company who can handle this task, or provide training to accomplish this.

Aug 11, 2008I am trying to convert wmv files to flv and my flash video encoder and flash itself (using the import video tool) won't recognize the wmv files.
Do i need to run these through a different software to do this, or does it seem like flash should be able to do this for me?

On the home page there would be a free preview. The videos were created in iMovie on a Mac.My question is should I convert this to flash? Mar 23, 2009I have created an animation using mainly actionscript to control it. I have now been told by the client that they now want a timeline and play / pause buttons for it. Now instead of redoing the whole site, as its event driven and wouldnt work if i just threw timeline functionality into the swf, I thought I could export it as a .mov then convert it into a .flv and create a player with buttons and a timeline.
However I just tried to export it, but it only converted the first frame of the main movieclip, as im guessing, it doesnt act the same as the published swf and use the events, which is brilliant
