I'm making a website in dreamweaver with flash in it, I want to link an image that I have in flash to another page (.html) that I have in dreamweaver. When I first used flash and dreamweaver I had done it, but honestly now I completely forgot and can't figure it out. I know I didn't use any action scripts. I just put the page name (???.html) somewhere and it worked.

i want to link a flash button to page made in dreamweaver. so i am going from a flash slpash page to html..(if i am correct<--noob) its all on my ftp server so how do i write the actionscript to find the page i want it to? i am sure that i worded this whole thing wrong so bear with me.

In IE you can achieve this by doing the following - "Press and hold the contol button and then press the - (minus) button (Ctrl -)." or click on the view option at the top of the browser>>zoom>>zoom out.
I have managed to create some buttons movie clips and understand how to link pages. The only question i have is how do you make the button/link for the current page highlight so the user can know what page they are on? Is there a way to have a current page indicator in flash as you can do with html/css?

and I would like the link to open the new page in the same tab. In Safari it opens the link in a new window (when the default is to open links in the same tab). In IE it opens in a new tab, and also in Firefox (though in Firefox this is the default behaviour for me). Everything is working properly except when i try to link a picture, and have set the imagelinkTarget value to _blank the link always navigates away from my site and does not open in a new window. I have tried all the values for the imageLinkTarget and nothing works.. Here is my code

I have a Flash home page which is part of a standard html website. A button needs to link to a specific position in the middle of an html scrolling page. My current script is:

I've then uploaded the SWF,FLV,html page and scripts to my server and when tested, the video wouldn't play. I am trying to create a button that link to a website and I cannot for the life of me get my flash to open a new window to a site. I am trying to have specific links to different sites for each slide, I'm not sure how to get it working. I get an error message of:

So I'm trying to create this website in which the first page is made in Flash and the rest are made in Dreamweaver. how to actually connect them so that works? I know how to put something made from Flash into a Dreamweaver page; should i just do the same thing?
View 6 RepliesI have Dreamweaver CS5, and used the "Insert FLV" function to generate a flash video player. It creates a /Scripts directory with two files, swfobject_modified.js and expressInstall.swf, and it also creates two .swfs in the directory the .html file is located, FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf and an .swf named after the skin (e.g. Clear_Skin_1.swf).
When I have Dreamweaver generate the html code for all this with a relative path, it works. When I give Dreamweaver an absolute path, it doesn't. You can see an example at www.youngstreetdesign.com/staging/flvtest/test.html.
The top is the relative, the second the absolute. The third is something unrelated.Dreamweaver says "enter relative or absolute path here" in the entry where you give it the video's path, and the documentation says that absolute paths should work, so, I'm at a loss.
I am trying to do: [URL]. This is a little webpage I'm building as I learn more and more flash. I am at a point where I need to link .mp3 files to the buttons on the "Dan's Top Songs Playlist". If you like, you can download my flash file here: [URL]. I am working with ActionScript 3.0. The buttons in the Media Player are all instances of the same button. How do I tie each button to a different .mp3 song to play when clicked (and stop when another song is clicked or the pause button is clicked)? Because of the size of song files, I'd like to stream it. Also, is there any way to use the "repeat" symbol to just play all the songs in order and the "shuffle" symbol to play them in random order?

The first screen would be all the body parts(e.g hands,head etc.) and once users click on the next button they will be taken to a new scene with the assembled body parts where there'll be clothes and accessories for users to choose.My question is how to create the next button which will link to another scene containing the assembled body parts.

I have figured out how to create the flash file which will overlay the page, with all elements centered, from here: kirupa forums tutorial.
The only thing I cannot figure out is how to attach the Close button which would come at the top right. AS3 is not allowing me to attach any behaviour to the button, neither does it allow me to put actionscript there. I am in dire straits.
