Professional :: Page Link On Press To Play Swf Animation Before Directing To Page?
Feb 16, 2010
I would like to create my page links so when I roll over the text(link) enlarges and then once pressed a swf animation plays. When it stops it automatically directs to the desired page.
how to do a rotating flash animation for a client's website using CS4.Basically it is a "postcard" type image with four corners having four pictures, with one changing every 5 seconds. Each corner is hyperlinked to a section on their website.I've managed to figure out pretty much all of it using the great amount of tutorials on the web, however one issue has me stumped. At the end of the animation, it flips back to the start (which is the desired behaviour) for an instant but then it redirects to a different page (as if one of the quadrants had been clicked).
I'm wanting to link a flash animation to a page on my site. These are the steps i have taken so far Open flash , create New symbol (choose button) named it flashflashbutton Then still in symbol section, File import.
I then import a flash animation I made .swf.Now when I import it the animations frames stretch across the up, hit, ect. I am sure this isn't the correct way to do it.How do I import an animation and put all the keyframes (hence the animation ) just into the up mode.
As atm when i go to scene view, open librarary and drag it into scene view. Then test movie, It plays one frame if i hover over it it plays another frame.I assume the answer to this is sumhow put all the frames in the up mode, and another anim on the hit mode?
If on a basic website I have some animation that plays in first before the buttons appear. How can i get the animation to play out (outro) before going to the page? Is there some kind of detection or something that will detect the button being pressed, play the outro and then head off to the page. I'm using external .swf's to load in content and my timeline has labels on - to keep the main file size down.
Sorry for bothering you with questions like these, but I've never worked with Flash before, so I've got no knowledge in as3. So I'm trying to make a full flash website, and I've read some good tutorials on the net, but some of the script codes the tutorials provide doesn't work. I'm trying to link a button to a page like google, or a page on the flashsite. I just purchased Flash cs4, so that might be the reason why the tutorial codes doesn't work..
i'm trying to build a flash site and ran into a problem... i have a gallery page with a bunch of page numbers at the top. when you click on one, a movieclip loads of some images coming in.so the problem i'm having is that i made a little animation for when you roll the mouse over the page number (they scale up when the mouse is over, scale back when the cursor moves away)... what it's doing is when you roll over, it goes to a certain frame in the timeline and plays that animation.that's all working cool, but i need it to not do that once it's clicked on. so basically when you actually click on a page number, the over script should stop until you go to another page... here's the code i've written,
function over(event:MouseEvent):void { this.gotoAndPlay(30);} function out(event:MouseEvent):void {[code].....
I am able to pass a variable from an html link that loads a separate html file and instructs the embedded file to go to a specific frame. But - I now need a link within an swf file on one page to open a new page and tell that swf to start on a specific frame and it is not working. Here is the code I use for the first example - works like a champ:
html file 1
Code:
Go here
html file 2 swf embed code with variable info:
Code:
// var so = new SWFObject("yourSWF.swf", "sotester", "500", "500", "8", "#FF6600");
I'm creating a banner navigation with quick animation and I just want to PLAY the animation when user visit the page for a first time OR only in homepage (index page).Basically when visitor go to another pages, they won't see the "banner" animation over & over again. How to accomplish this ?
I am designing a website in flash CS3 using Action script 2.0 not 3.0 and Flash Player 8. The architecture I used is as follows:I have a menu/main page which loads the swf files of other flash pages.I have a particular flash chatroom page which is loaded by the main page that I would like to be able to link an web address (example url...) directly too that particular sub flash page ...rather than going to the main.swf which is what the original web address uses.
Technically I know I could link a web address to the chatroom.swf file, but then it would estetically look incomplete since the theme/design of the website is in the main.swf which calls the chatroom.swf.Thus my question is: is there a way to assign the web address to the chatroom.swf inside the main.swf.I would like to go directly to the chatroom without clicking chatroom on the main.swf menu.
I have produced several .swf files to be used as part of an interactive cd. I have produced the home page in dreamweaver, with a button link for each of the movie clips, but when the clip ends it just stays on this clip, i need a kind of "home page" link at the end of the clip to take the viewer back to the page with all of the links to the other movies on,
this is the first time I have used flash pro.I just edited the menu and everything works perfectly except for the highlighting of the link on the current page. If im on the home page, home is correctly highlighted. However after that it skips the next button (about). So when I am on the about page the next button (events) is highlighted.
Ok when you press link one it olads great! when i press link 2, it plays the closing animation, but not the entire animation, thats the problem. My closing animation is a red square going from one end to another ( for the hell of it).But you see content number two will load b4 the red square gets all the way across!!
I have a static html home page on my website and I would like to add a flash animation of a cartoon character riding her bike. My home page is [URL]
I have tried several ways of doing this. Firstly I started taking measurements using firefox developer toolbar and then realised that the page displays differently according to what screen size users view it.
Next I took a screenshot and imported this to the stage and used the dimensions of my wrapper div which is 1024 px. I am using the creative suite 4. After creating a separate layer for the animation and getting the character to go where i wanted her to go, I realised I couldnt use the navigation which is on the html page.
I have a website that I originally began to design in flash but later started developing new pages for it in html. The flash part of it has several pages on different frames and I have created links from the flash part to the other html pages, but, I can only link the html pages back to the main flash home page, and not the other pages in the flash part of the website.
I'm not looking for text box scrolling!! I want the whole 'stage' / 'page' whatever its called to scroll down. I have lots off different content like text, images, animations etc on there so is this possible? I would prefer just two buttons on the side that will scroll the page up and down with as much content as I want on there.
I dragged the FLVPlayback to the stage and set the source to my FLV file name and set the skin to one of the options. My HTML page calls upon the published SWF file. Do I need to name the additional SWF file to the same name as my skin?
How do you publish the skin file also?
I'm thinking this issue lies with the dimensions of the movie. The FLV says it is 640 x 480. So I went in and modified the Flash document to the same. Do I need to use the Transform tool and make the actual player to these proportions so it fills the stage? - here is where the confusion lies...or is it 'smart' enough to conform. My settings are the default of 'maintain aspect ratio'.
I'm using Flash CS3, actionscript 2 to build a site in which I would like to have a line of text animation to slide off the screen, but I'm looking for something similar to almost a 'sideways explosion'.... it will be synched to the sound of a golf club swing, and I'm look for some way to get that instant explosion, with the letters plowing through each other and away as they fade off the page....
I have a site where all the pages have a common SWF embedded at the top (Nav and banner), but the rest of the page is HTML.Everything is working fine, but I'm finding the 'independence' between the HTML and Flash is making for some sloppy transitions from page to page.I was expecting the SWF to be delayed, at least for the first page visit(and I have a preload routine inside the swf to make it's delay and appearance a bit more visually pleasant), but was surprised to sometimes find the SWF appearing and playing while the HTML content was delayed (resulting in a SWF floating in black). What I'm wondering is if there's a way I can do some sort of preload on my index page.BUT, not the standard one that I'm sure everyone would suggest (like the javascript image 'preload', or the newer 'css visibility' preload trick). The problem with the standard one is that it doesn't check to see if everything is loaded. What I'm after is a routine on my index page that invisibly loads some of the elements from my inner pages (common swf, maybe some of the images) and WAITS until it's done before moving to the inner pages (displaying the company logo and/or a load status in the meantime). Many people would suggest a preloader inside the common SWF on my inner pages (which I have), but the problem with that on its own is that it doesn't stop the HTML from displaying.
I'm trying to figure out a way to do a preloader (like those in a SWF, which loops until everything is loaded) that controls both the SWF AND the HTML.Recently, I found that you can use one swf to preload another, which would be a potential solution, as I could make an SWF on the index page whose sole purpose is to load (invisibly) the common SWF, displaying the load status and then loading an inner html page once it's done.Problem is, I have bee having trouble finding the coding for that, as most searches for preloaders end up being about standard preloaders, where it's monitoring the same SWF that the code is on, as opposed to controlling a second, external SWF.Can someone point me to or provide me with the proper coding/procedure for a preloader that controlls a second external swf or give me a better solution? one?
I have a project for a site that sells fishing lures.I want to have an animated index page before moving on to the home page. My idea is to have a boat sitting on a pond fishing lines in the water, when a fish jumps out of the water, the water ripples, the next time you see the fish it's got a hook in it mouth and jumping out of the water.how do I go about it? How to I create the water rippling? I think with the fish I can do easily enough with it jumping on and off stage. Would I do the water with shape tweens?
I have a flash button embedded into a css/HTML page that I want to use to navigate into a new page without opening a new window. Here's the code I'm using in the SWF which I got from the adobe tv tutorial:Here is the test page that I have embedded the flash button in:The flash button is the "about Ian" button on the upper left. I want the navigation to be like the traditional rollovers on the page. (I'm working my way up to having the embedded flash button fade into place, that's why I'm using flash.)
// 1. Event handler function function clickHandler (Event:MouseEvent): void { trace("CLICK!"); navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://ianmartinphotography.com/about.html")); } // 2.
i am nearly done with editing my template but my first page picture and some writting is showing up on my second and third page how do i reslove this issue i have attached a picture link below [URL]
I prepared a movie and put into my aspx page and there is a button on this movie which navigates to another aspx page. It has to use querystring information to decide which page to go.
-The page which i put my flash movie is : entry.aspx -If the page is : entry.aspx?lang=tr : it will go to the turkish page on button click, (url : "mturkish.aspx") -if the page is : entry.aspx?lang=en : it will go to the english page on button click, (url : "menglish.aspx")
when you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"
I have my mp3 audio clip and made my play and stop button. I am using cs4 and as3. I want to have the play and stop button on my main page but still have the music play when the users clicks onto one of the buttons which takes them to a new page.
