If on a basic website I have some animation that plays in first before the buttons appear. How can i get the animation to play out (outro) before going to the page? Is there some kind of detection or something that will detect the button being pressed, play the outro and then head off to the page. I'm using external .swf's to load in content and my timeline has labels on - to keep the main file size down.

The way I have it set up - each piece of artwork animates to center screen as it fades in when you click it's thumbnail. This part works fine.
I'm creating a banner navigation with quick animation and I just want to PLAY the animation when user visit the page for a first time OR only in homepage (index page).Basically when visitor go to another pages, they won't see the "banner" animation over & over again. How to accomplish this ?
View 3 Replieswhen you go to the home.html page an animation will play from start and then stop at the end of it. However, for all other pages i.e contact.html aboutus.html we need the animation to skip to the end straight away and not to play the whole animation through. I was thinking this would be controlled by a variable or some kind of external text file ect. Basically in the first frame the actionscript needs to basically say
"if this html page is aboutus.html then go to the last frame and stop" and with the index page it would say "if this html page is index.html then keep playing"
I have a certain set of motion twains that I've successfuly completed, they constantly loop right now (default), and is saved in the SWF file.I'd like to take that finished looping animation, and insert it within another animation (a) that can be played with a play button, and stopped/resetted with a stop button.How do I insert the completed looping animation into the main animation? And is there something special I have to do in the actionscript of the start and stop buttons so that the "inner" looping animation will start and stop with the "outer" main animation?

I have a flash ad that I can only play once. After it plays the user is required to mouseover to play it. When their mouse leaves the ad it stops playing.I am not sure what code I need for this. I am guessing a stop action with some extras.
View 1 RepliesI am trying to create a page transition that will play a movieCLip transition into a page. and then it stops then when another button is pressed, it will play that transition out while loading the appropriate one. In the attached FLA, if you click on the red button first, the blue transition plays,

and then stops on the stage. When you click the green button second,

it works correctly/ Playing out of the blue Transition and into the Red transition. However if I click it again it does the opposite, and just keep alternating.
If I add the
_root.transitionClip2.play("out");
to the first button then, nothing works right. I will eventually have more buttons, and may need to use a variable to control which "out" transitions is played, but how do I get the buttons to do this?I just want it to exit the current movie clip and play the "in" section of the desired clip.
I have a static html home page on my website and I would like to add a flash animation of a cartoon character riding her bike. My home page is [URL]
I have tried several ways of doing this. Firstly I started taking measurements using firefox developer toolbar and then realised that the page displays differently according to what screen size users view it.
Next I took a screenshot and imported this to the stage and used the dimensions of my wrapper div which is 1024 px. I am using the creative suite 4. After creating a separate layer for the animation and getting the character to go where i wanted her to go, I realised I couldnt use the navigation which is on the html page.

View 2 RepliesI am working on a site with a flash template. The flash loads and goes through the animation cycle no issues. But each time you click the menu and load another page it cycles through the animation again to form the flash document. I would like this to only be on the first default.aspx page and it to be already loaded on the others. I figured it might be passing some sort of parameter in the page to the flash telling it to skip the animated part and just jump to the last frame when not the first default page but how?

View 1 RepliesIs there a simple way to make a page turning animation in Flash? I have a book, and I need the page to look like it is turning. It happens automatically, so I don't need a button, or the page to be grabbable. I just need it to look like a page is being turned.
I found this tutorial on how to do it using aftereffects, but when I export the composition to SWF I get a black background, so that won't work. It would have to be transparent.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
how to do a rotating flash animation for a client's website using CS4.Basically it is a "postcard" type image with four corners having four pictures, with one changing every 5 seconds. Each corner is hyperlinked to a section on their website.I've managed to figure out pretty much all of it using the great amount of tutorials on the web, however one issue has me stumped.At the end of the animation, it flips back to the start (which is the desired behaviour) for an instant but then it redirects to a different page (as if one of the quadrants had been clicked).

I then import a flash animation I made .swf.Now when I import it the animations frames stretch across the up, hit, ect. I am sure this isn't the correct way to do it.How do I import an animation and put all the keyframes (hence the animation ) just into the up mode.
As atm when i go to scene view, open librarary and drag it into scene view. Then test movie, It plays one frame if i hover over it it plays another frame.I assume the answer to this is sumhow put all the frames in the up mode, and another anim on the hit mode?

every time i visit the page the whole preloader animation runs for 0 till 100. also if it is in your cache.
they use 20 stripes to load so (5 percent means 1 stripe!) but how can you animate your preloader if youre preloader does'nt always runs smoothly from 1 till 100?
I'm using Flash CS4 and I'm trying to create what I think is pretty simple. I have a tree that will have leaves. I want the individual leaves to fall on mouseover. When the animation is complete, I want the leaves to stay where they land and not reset back up on the tree. I know how to tween and animate the leaves, but everything else is really falling apart for me. I feel like this should be pretty simple. I've created the tree and leaves in illustrator and am importing the .ai file into flash and turning each of the leaves into a bitmap (as opposed to a movie file)

View 2 RepliesI am having trouble getting a simple animation to play properly, on a site designed by someone else, in IE. It works fine in Mozilla and Safari. In IE, on some computers, it shows up but there is a prompt about downloading a Shockwave add-on. On other computers it doesnt show up at all. Going from Mac to PC is also presenting problems. I'm freelance, so it's not like I'm in the office with these other people, so I only know what's going on with the 3 pc's I have at my disposal; which is as described above.
View 3 RepliesFlash CS4 Mac OS 10.4.11 - I am new to Flash and have always created small web animations in Image Ready. However, the Flash animations I have seen are so much smoother so decided to learn how to make one for next clients website. The animation keeps looping when I have specified in Flash that I want it to play once when page loads (see screen snatch attachment). Checked in 'Publish Preview' to see if it was just happening when the file was loaded into Adobe GoLive, but no, it does it in Flash.
I have tried saving in all the variations allowed but to no effect. The other thing that happens when checking the GoLive site in browsers is that for an instant before the animation begins, the background of the animation is white when I made the Flash document background a grey (F5F5F5), the grey background does kick in immediately afterwards. I have also attached the .swf file and a html file for general viewing.

I want the page to be drawn as in intro animation. For example the screen is blank at first and then the image is drawn from the outside in a thin line until the whole page is drawn and then fade the lines into the actual design.

So now I want to put an animation in a page and i assume that i have to call or use this function. the problem is that i don't know how.
I'm using Flash CS3, actionscript 2 to build a site in which I would like to have a line of text animation to slide off the screen, but I'm looking for something similar to almost a 'sideways explosion'.... it will be synched to the sound of a golf club swing, and I'm look for some way to get that instant explosion, with the letters plowing through each other and away as they fade off the page....
View 3 RepliesMy client wants so have a loading animation/movie (already created that in Flash CS5) on the website's start page (root, '/' - the first thing you see when you go to domain.tld).When the animation's finished it should forward to another page (i.e. the real page with the content), e.g. domain.tld/somepage.htm I can do this with, for example, getURL() in Flash and it works fine.
But. Is it possible to kind of preload domain.tld/somepage.htm so the content (almost) instantly appears after the loading animation's finished?Also, a fade-out-fade-in effect would be nice, i.e. the loading animation fades out and the content of domain.tld/somepage.htm fades in.
