Aug 16, 2010I've produced a Flash Flipbook. I works the way I want it to except for one thing. In one of my flipping pages I've created a movie clip inside which consists of an animation. The animation plays fine but when you're about to flip to the next page it replays the movieclip (even though I've put a 'stop' function at the end of the movieclip). I don't know whether I have to create a function at the top level so it disables the movieclip after one page flick? Or is there another way that I can make the movieclip just play once after flicking to the next or previous page?[code]...

What I am trying to do is to disbale the page flip when the user clicks the corner of the page on a specific page, and rather have a button that when pressed will flip to the next page. I only want this on a few pages so do not want to disbale all the pages.

If the user clicks the 'home_mc' button i want it to disable to the content cant be loaded twice. If the user clicks 'products_mc' i want 'home_mc' to be enable again, and then disable 'products_mc'.This to prevent user to currently reading on homepage when click on the home_mc button again will cause the homepage animate in again.
but i still cant figure out how to make it. can we use some code like

Nov 29, 2011does anyone know how to disable that slide animation and just have the action bar instantly change to whatever action bar the next view contains, but still do a slide navigation for the rest of the view. My Action bar doesn't change on every page so seeing the same image reload repetitively in the action bar.

Aug 16, 2010I've created a flipbook in Flash. It pretty much looks the way I want it to except for one thing. On the 3rd and 4th page I've created a spread where it has have a movieclip playing inside the pages. It plays fine but everytime you're about to flip to the next or previous page it keeps playing the animation inside the page. Obviously I only want it to play once. Even though I put a 'stop' function inside the movieclip it still loops the animation. It looks like I have to set a function at the top level so it disables the movieclip after the first page-flip. Is this possible? Or is there another way that I can make the animation stop looping when about to flip pages? I could only attach the actionscript in word doc as the fla and swf where too big to attach. If you're happy to look into it I can email it to you.

May 3, 2011I have a full screen webpage with an elastic bg that is created mostly through AS, XML, and external .swf's. The main menu links to pages (other external .swf's with dynamically loaded content) that look sort of like popups over the graphic content of the main background (img2). There are two problems, 1) there are other buttons on the main page that the user can click when viewing a page and 2) the popups come down directly on the content and make the whole site look rather flat.
I am trying to create a background for each of the pages that has the same elastic qualities as the main page (so that no matter what it will cover the user's entire screen) and will disable all of the buttons beneath it. I tried adding a rectangle beneath the pages other layers, however any script I write for that mc (such as the onResize _mc.width and _mc.height or ._x and ._y) is completely ignored in the main timeline and the rectangle messes with the popup page position -- img3. Also the buttons beneath the rectangle are still active.

Is there some kind of detection or something that will detect the button being pressed, play the outro and then head off to the page. I'm using external .swf's to load in content and my timeline has labels on - to keep the main file size down.

I have tried several ways of doing this. Firstly I started taking measurements using firefox developer toolbar and then realised that the page displays differently according to what screen size users view it.
Next I took a screenshot and imported this to the stage and used the dimensions of my wrapper div which is 1024 px. I am using the creative suite 4. After creating a separate layer for the animation and getting the character to go where i wanted her to go, I realised I couldnt use the navigation which is on the html page.

Jan 13, 2009I am working on a site with a flash template. The flash loads and goes through the animation cycle no issues. But each time you click the menu and load another page it cycles through the animation again to form the flash document. I would like this to only be on the first default.aspx page and it to be already loaded on the others. I figured it might be passing some sort of parameter in the page to the flash telling it to skip the animated part and just jump to the last frame when not the first default page but how?

Jun 29, 2011Is there a simple way to make a page turning animation in Flash? I have a book, and I need the page to look like it is turning. It happens automatically, so I don't need a button, or the page to be grabbable. I just need it to look like a page is being turned.
I found this tutorial on how to do it using aftereffects, but when I export the composition to SWF I get a black background, so that won't work. It would have to be transparent.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?

Aug 3, 2010how to do a rotating flash animation for a client's website using CS4.Basically it is a "postcard" type image with four corners having four pictures, with one changing every 5 seconds. Each corner is hyperlinked to a section on their website.I've managed to figure out pretty much all of it using the great amount of tutorials on the web, however one issue has me stumped.At the end of the animation, it flips back to the start (which is the desired behaviour) for an instant but then it redirects to a different page (as if one of the quadrants had been clicked).

Jan 1, 2012I'm wanting to link a flash animation to a page on my site. These are the steps i have taken so far Open flash , create New symbol (choose button) named it flashflashbutton Then still in symbol section, File import.
I then import a flash animation I made .swf.Now when I import it the animations frames stretch across the up, hit, ect. I am sure this isn't the correct way to do it.How do I import an animation and put all the keyframes (hence the animation ) just into the up mode.
As atm when i go to scene view, open librarary and drag it into scene view. Then test movie, It plays one frame if i hover over it it plays another frame.I assume the answer to this is sumhow put all the frames in the up mode, and another anim on the hit mode?

every time i visit the page the whole preloader animation runs for 0 till 100. also if it is in your cache.
they use 20 stripes to load so (5 percent means 1 stripe!) but how can you animate your preloader if youre preloader does'nt always runs smoothly from 1 till 100?
