My users will upload FLV movies and I don't want to hand-code SWF files -- is there a way to start with an FLV short movie(they're under a minute on average) -- and automatically package their uploaded FLV movies inside an SWF file? The site allows them to view the .SWF files using their already-existing Flash player.
I have attached a video on a frame of my website in Flash. When I preview the movie the film plays as it should. But when I export the Fla. as a Swf. file it then doesn't have the movie there anymore? It does show this error:
**Warning** The linkage identifier 'FLVPlayback' was already assigned to the symbol 'Video/FLVPlayback', and cannot be assigned to the symbol 'FLVPlayback', since linkage identifiers must be unique.
Internet Explorer will not display flash video in stand alone video players, similar to the one at: [URL] The other embedded flash content is viewable. In the IE8 tools, manage add on's, Adobe Flash Player is not listed.I've also noticed that when I access the Adobe Flash Settings manager, I can not uncheck "hardware acceleration".Windows XP Home Service Pack 2 is the operating system.
I understand that the spark framework has a video player and a video display. The difference being that video display doesn't have the video controls.I know that stage video is new in AIR3 and uses hardware acceleration to play videos. My question is, does videodisplay and videoplayer take advantage of stage video out of the box? Do I need to implement it another way?
I am just looking for a tutorial for a simple loader bar. My flash site is quite large and as a result, a simple loading screen leads people with slower connections to believe that maybe it has crashed during load and don't wait till it's finished. A load bar would obviously show that the site is still downloading.
Does anyone know a script that can display the time elapsed on a site like this http:[url].... i took a look at the countdown timer tutorial but it's not what i'm looking for ...
I have an AS3 file that pulls an XML feed from a site. All the file does is display a number in a dynamic text box. On my desktop it works fine the feed is parsed in the output window and in the dynamic text box, joy! I upload the file to the CMS we are using and, no joy all I get is 'Loading' in the window. I get Loading because I input that in the tf so it wouldn't be blank.
So the question is, is there a fundamental flaw in my code or is it more likely to be the CMS? Im hoping it is the code, otherwise it is back to the drawing board.
I have developed a twitter API in Flash Professional CS4. It works fine when it plays in the flash player locally. But when I publish the file and play it in a browser it asks for settings to be modified. Since those were the local settings I have modified them and played the file in browser and it worked fine. when I upload the file to server and embed the swf into a html file and try to play it from the server nothing happens. The API doesn't load the feeds from twitter site. The display is always blank.Possible solutions I have tried.....
I'd like to add a custom video to my site. This video is about 200px square and has semi-transparent controls on on the bottom third (play, pause, progress bar). See attached image. There is a sound track. It is short (45sec) and I want to host it on my site (not youtube). Attachments: custom_video_player.png (21.9 K)
I want to implement video chatting on my site. I understand that I need a table of users online with their ips and that there will be flash clients but I do not understand how the streams are handled. Do I need to have some sort of special stream process running somewhere? Can I just store the ips in a db and set them connections up in php like some sort of p2p service?
I have been using Flash with actionscript 2.0 and I barely understand that...(actionscript 2.0). Now I am building a site in 2.0, and I need to add a video to the home page. The only way I have found is in actionscript 3.0.I made a separate swv file for the video as per the instructions I found online. It works but my site will not open it, ...probably because the site is in 2.0.My question is this: a:is there code to play the hd video in my 2.0 site? or b: do I need to redesign the entire site in 3.0?
I want to create a site that has an embedded vimeo video, how can I do that in flash? (just to clarify- i do not have the source video file, its just a video from a free video hosting site that someone else posted).
I built a website using flash. I have two videos that play directly in flash CS5, i published the site and everything worked great including the videos. now the videos won't play. my website is [URL]
My Objective is to play a youtube video in a site which is build in Action Script 3.0. We have developed a site where the client side is completely flash and the back end is managed using php. what we need is to display the youtube vidoes in the client side flash page. Youtube videos can be displayed in html pages using the <object> tag. But in flash is it possible. note: You tube is providing an API, which will work only in sites developed in Action Script 2.0. But we need it to be played in Action Script 3.0. Is there really an API for Action Script 3.0 ?
We have tried to use the API which will work in Action Script 2.0 to communicate with the Action Script 3.0, but it didn't work. We tried the bridging it also did not work. We have also tried in google to find some and we got some links:
My problem is this. I want to embed an swf on my site which plays an FLV video. I do not wish to use a skin but want to create a simple roll over or mouse over which would start the video from the beginning. Unfortunately I have absolutely no idea how I would do this.
The situation is I have a number of pages with a single movie clip on each, however once the movie is playing and you click the home or contact buttons for example, it will go to the correct page but the movies sound keep playing in the background. So I've got a code, but I just get an error sayign tanmovstop() does not have a body. I'm very new to action script so am very lost! I'll be extremely grateful. The code on the sites main buttons is as follows, with tanmov being the movie whos sound I want to stop:
So I am relatively new to Flash and After Affects but I managed to make a nice video with Adobe After Effects that my friend wanted to put on his site. After I was done rendering it I used Adobe Media Encoder to make the .avi file into a .f4v file for flash. After opening that flash file with Flash i exported it out into a .swf file. When I opened the .swf it played perfectly, just the way it should. I edited my index.html with Dreamweaver and the coding and everything seemed fine. After previewing the index.html with my browser and Dreamweaver's Live View I was quite satisfied with my results. When I uploaded the files onto my site the flash did not play. It plays locally on my PC but not on the site. I later asked a few more experienced buddies what was wrong and they confirmed that they weren't able to play the file locally nor from the site. At first I thought I may have mixed up the links but they were fine. Here is the code I used for my index.html page.
Im having issues with the loading external video method in acitonscript 3.0 book by todd perkin. The issue is about the lesson on page 308 in ch 11.
[Code]...
This is the only thing that crashing my site. The load external video methods nice but if I cant make practical use of it, its useless. Any actionscript gurus out there know a solution to fix this problem?
I have a site I've added a few new modules to, but the video player module just doesn't want to play at all All the components load when I test the movie but none of the external data loads, and when I test the scene with all components on its own it works fine.I've tried a few things but, still can't get this to work, and I've even tried downloading another multi video player and it did the same thing, I don't know where I'm going wrong It's all contained in a movieclip called 'bsv' and as I said works fine when I do test scene or be able to take a look at the site if I were to upload it?
I am trying to set up my video site to stream from the fms serverť and the instruction stated that I should create my own new folder in the application directory on the fms server, and I have created my directory, which I called brigma_streamsť, and I have copied files from {FMS-Install-Dir}/ sample/Application/vod to my new folder.
Looking for a component which can be embedded inside my site (PHP, ASP.NET...whatever) and give a support for video chat. I'm not a flex developer and would like to use a component. There are some/many video chats available, like flashcoms, red5chat...but all of those are heavy(monolit) components.
What I would like to have on my site is just a small video showing output from my camera (me) and another video showing the other party...but those videos should be split, not in the same flash component, but separate (two different EMBED tags on my page).
Are there any components available to do that (of course with support from appropriate media server)? Are there any good guides on how to develop such a component?
Im trying to embed a video from youtube into my flash site. I've looked at the other threads and the code cyan blue posted works fine however when I change the URL to my youtube URL nothing shows up.
This is other part to my earlier question that i posted before for those of you that came across it.Part 2: What i'm actually looking for is to do something similar to the Star Trek Movie website [URL]..for those unfamiliar. The bit that im looking for is a solution to achieve the full screen video background they have that simulates the user walking through the starship. Everytime you navigate to a different part of the website, this background video walks you through to another section of the ship.
I'm presuming its all flv, and i'm presuming its one big flv file divided into various "scenes", as the problem with having a seperate flv file for each "scene" is that it take a few seconds to load in between flv's and you get a blank white screen for a few moments (i've tried). Am i presuming the right method to go about achieving what they've done?
I am a designer, and I am very new to coding and I just began using flash CS3. I am currently working on a project and I wanted to utilize a video gallery that I found on the adobe site. The link is [URL]. And he breaks down the application on the link below and the source code is well written and commented but I just can't seem to understand coding. [URL]. So I was wondering to modify the code so that the thumbnails are images instead of swf files and the thumbnails are placed in columns which represent its own category. In return I can be your contact if you need a favor as far as designing something.
I have this site I'm doing in Flash with an embedded video. The site has background music that is loading automatically, but when the embedded movie loads, the volume on that is mixed in witht he sites music. If you mute the sites background music, it mutes the video sound as well. Make sense? How can I seperate them out or make the sites background music not load on that particular page.
